This spot is dope. I've come here multiple times for gifts - great spot for birthdays, Christmas, etc. They have a ton of stationery like notebooks, cards, stickers, merch, and the like. They also have an awesome selection of artists' goods in the back of their store, and books in the front. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful, and you can tell the store is very community centered. Love that they provide free masks for those who need them! Everything is pretty reasonably priced, especially for being in this section of Highland Park. I'm always willing to give my money to support small businesses over billionaires, and I hope this store stays around for a while. read more

Be Nice Have Fun - Cards & Stationery Near Me - Los Angeles, California

Came in here on my #StationeryStoreDay Crawl back in August. Located in Highland Park on a very busy York Blvd. this little shop packs a LOT into this cozy spot - plenty of greeting cards, journals, stickers, Chocolates, Tumblers, Children books and other unique gift items and they also host the LA Pen Pal Club from time to time. What a wonderful neighborhood treasure for the stationery community! BTW they are located across the street from Shorthand. Street parking is available as well as a lot behind the block. Respectfully Reviewed. read more

So sad location closed. Was great space and loved the owner--so friendly and knowledgeable. I couldn't make it to pop up for stationery day--she has an online presence. Hope she's able to find a new location or continue to have pop ups. Pls post any Info on pop ups and hours so I can visit soon read more

My 2nd stop on Stationary Store Day was here. It's a cute shop with lots of things. In the back there was a little art show where we got to vote for our favorite. Again parking was terrible. I had to park 3 blocks away. read more

Be Nice Have Fun is a cute small Latinx-owned stationery shop on York Blvd. They sell a wide variety of items such as cards, stickers, t-shirts, sweaters, tote bags, books, candles, etc. Store has huge exposed brick walls and a very spacious layout. Prices are ridiculously expensive. Atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. Overall, it's a nice stationary shop. read more

The staff was friendly and it was a pretty fun store!!! Love the name of this place. There was even a free little library by the door and I love how colorful and inclusive the items were. It felt like I was being invited into someone's home. read more

Tell me you're a Dope AF, small bix, Latinx owned shop without telling me. If Be Nice Have Fun's exterior window is any idea of where this review is headed, you already know! But alas, this is a written review as well, No? BNHF fits rather nicely in its newer space located on York Blvd, right beside a cute lil bodega. If you're looking for some cute stickers to express yo' self or impress your friends, dress up your car bumper, or find some creatively appointed writing tools like notebooks, notepads, planners, calendars, or pens/markers then they got you! If you're also looking to gift a special someone in your life some progressively influenced items like ceramics, mugs, jewelry, or tees--they got you too! Basicallly BNHF is like that trendsetting girl in your H.S. that was always wowing folks with her personal brand of style, political insight, and pulse on what would make your living space feel homier. She brings the vibes basically. But support her with your coins please she doesn't work for free. ;D read more

This place was adorable!!! I went in initially because they were hosting a paid watercolor event that my friend was hosting. The staff are super nice and the store gives you that classic artsy feel with multiple items for sale by independent artists. They have such an array of items from sale from tote bags, to hair clips, to jewelry-even items from Japan. Along the wall they have a large selection of stickers, to which I bought a few haha read more

Pretty sure you'll find something you can gift this Christmas/holidays! I don't know about you but I'm pretty excited with my gift finds and if I was the one receiving them I'll feel extra grateful these gifts were well thought out out and one of a kind! This is a cool spot of well curated shop of local artists and there's something for all ages! My 3 yo especially loves the slime and squishy corner and wanted to get them all! One major factor I know I'll be coming back here for is the owner and staff are super nice and remembers you! I love that I only been here twice and they remember me! read more

What a charming little shop! My friend and I happened to pass by this store last month, and there were SO many darling toys, trinkets, books, and more. I picked up a myriad of trinkets (including two animal whistles, a mini magnetic doodle board, and a couple of activity books). I should have written this review sooner, because the employee who assisted me was SO nice. The prices were great, too. I'll definitely stop by the next time I'm in the area! read more

What a fun shop! Super bright and colorful and a happy place for me to be and browse and always find something new to take home. Their sticker wall is amazing and constantly rotates with fun stickers. The shop owner and their dog are so sweet and friendly, I love stopping by and supporting a friendly BIPOC space. Next time you're looking for a unique gift or card, or heck if you want to treat yourself to something cute and fun, please stop by, you won't be disappointed. read more

Such a cute little shop on York Street! I know there are a lot of little stores around here but this one is one of my favorites. They have an awesome selection and, as my sister and I discovered on our recent trip here, they have a lot of items from Valfre that have since been discontinued so it might be your only spot to get some of these older designs at a decent price. I haven't been to any of the events here but I love that they create space for them and it seems to be a pretty inclusive community. I think this is going to be my new go to spot for gifts! read more

So many really cool pieces you can spend hours here. When I found out it was Latinx owned I knew I had to support.

Love this place first and foremost for the wonderful owner! She's the sweetest and radiates so much joy. I love people like that. I'm also partial to the music she plays and we've had good conversation about our respective emo days and Warped Tour, haha. Secondly, it is SO MUCH FUN looking through the cute stationery/gifts/toys/stickers! I feel like I always end up getting something even though I just come in to browse because everything is just cute. Love this place. 10/10. read more

Stumbled upon this shop after grabbing some coffee. I brought my daughter back, and the service and hospitality was amazing. Super friendly staff, clean store. They have a huge selection of gifts, books, stickers, jewelry, and so much more. We came out with a book, a couple of gifts, a sketch book, and some calligraphy markers. Love to support small businesses in the community. We will definitely be back. read more

I came here looking for a card and wrapping paper for my friend's bridal shower, and boy did I find it. This place is really cute, the prices are good, and they have a lot of unique items you won't find in any other party decoration store. 10/10, will be coming back. Check out the card and wrapping paper. read more

I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the service wasn't great for me. I stopped in because it was the only party shop open after 6 pm (right now they're open until 7). I ordered some balloons to pick up in a few days. They were a little more expensive than I was hoping (around $60 total for 12 regular balloons and 3 special ones). I was totally cool with it since I didn't have time to shop around. When I got the balloons, they were supposed to be in three "clusters" or groupings, each on a clip. The employee handed them to me kinda tangled up in one big cluster and said they would come untangled later. I was like, sure, makes sense... So I put them in my car. A few minutes later I opened the car door, and multiple balloons sadly escaped, including the one "happy birthday" balloon in my cluster. :( So, I realized that several of the balloons were not actually tied down to the clips, so it's honestly surprising that I didn't lose more! Also, they didn't tie down one of the letters that I had properly (it had two areas on the letter where you could tie it), so it was lopsided. It was disappointing to pay a lot for balloons and then not have them tied down to a clip so they wouldn't fly up in the air, get lost, and pollute. I didn't have any other decorations planned that explicitly said "happy birthday," so I was just sad to lose that balloon; I know it probably sounds kinda silly. read more

I love this place. Not only is it a beautiful shop, but a lovely community of women too! They have such unique items and party supplies and amazing workshops and events! I went to a sugar skull paint and sip and highly recommend trying their events! read more

Such a cute store for knick-knacks, stationery and party supplies! Came in looking for plates/napkins/cutlery for a party and there were so many cute options. We ended up leaving with birthday cards and stickers too. You can definitely get lost inside this fun boutique. Cant wait to go back. This place is amazing!! And can I say, THANK YOU for saving my butt!! I called in a last minute whim hoping to get a ballon garland done for a same day photoshoot . The owner, was the sweetest gal. She not only took samples of what I needed and made it happen, she also did this in record time to save the day!! Not all hero's wear capes ;P. I highly recommend this place for someone looking to order their party decors, photoshops, supplies to make your own etc. Will be back again!! read more

This store is adorable and the woman who helped us was awesome sauce. They have everything from gift items, to cards, wrapping paper, balloons etc. I was there for balloons but honestly could have spent a fist full of cash on all the cute! Highly recommend stopping by!! read more

Since they deleted my review. I will post it AGAIN. They cancelled my appointment 2 hours after they were supposed to be here. But proceeded to have their "block event" the same day & time. Seems to me they couldn't handle that much work. I'm all for supporting small businesses. But they shouldn't accept work they can't keep up with. It was a little unprofessional to cancel my appointment 2 hours after they were supposed to decorate :). If personal emergencies happen, it should be notified to your customers at that time not the day of their appointment :)- a little tip :) read more
