In over 20 years of living in LA, CLOVER is of on only a handful of local stores I shop at. EVERY single time I need anything, I know I can go to Nicole, and she will supply. Her eye understands what everyone wants. I have a hard time trusting, Nicole has never not neglected me or my difficult beloved's. For over two decades, the most delightful part of my days have been leaving this creative, heart centered, trustworthy boutique with a brown paper package tied with a colorful satin bow and most importantly: soul. read more

I discovered Clover last summer and it has quickly become my go-to store for gifts for literally everyone I know! They have something for everyone always and the staff is so lovely and always goes above and beyond to make the whole experience great! I'm consistently delighted by their new items and love that they carry brands for every price range. Have been shopping here for I want to say over 10 years , buying friends and my mom gifts what not. Went in today to buy a candle and a gift bag. Got approached by the woman when I first arrived, seemed like she was just checking to make sure I wasn't a shop lifter, rather than asking me if I needed any help. I found my candles and walked over to the counter to and asked the clerk if they sold gift bags. he said no but that they do gift wrap. Great put my two GLASS candles which totaled to be around 35$ down and he looked at them and said oh but for those I'd just put those in tissue with attitude. I was like well what would I need to do to put them in a gift bag? tried to give me more attitude when really I'd be willing to pay an extra fucking $1 to put two glass candles in a gift bag. The attitude and the gross negative energy that I got from both staff, who for all I know are the owners was enough to say I will NEVER step foot in this gift shop again! I might not look like a yuppy silver lake mom, but I spend money there every year and you will no longer have my biz! Be respectful, helpful and at least fucking nice to your customers and it will pay off in the end., being stingy about a fucking $1 brown paper bag that I would have paid for is such a joke! Telling everyone I know to avoid these assholes, not worth it!! And to the staff ..... a big FU!!! read more

I haven't been there since 2011 but I have continued to follow this store on Instagram since I don't live near this location. On 13th of August 2022, I walk in and there are two employees. One sneaks away and I assume that person is checking the camera since there is another customer in the store browsing. I take my time and look at each section thinking about each purchase that would look good in my home. I am very presentable and willing to speak and ask questions about products they have in the store. Yet I find myself walking past the cashier three times and not a single word comes out. I honestly feel disrespected and I am going to unfollow this company on IG. I will never speak about it or have thoughts about this store after I submit my review. read more

This shop reminded me of a place I grew up with called Sadies on the corner of 3rd and Crescent Heights in Los Angeles. Clover was my go-to gift shop for a long time...until I moved to the valley. The last time I shopped there was sometime during the pandemic. I bought some Purell sparkle ornaments that I found to be perfect for our Christmas tree that year. I've gotten tons of notebooks, candles, soaps, kitchenware, and even kids gifts from this shop over the years. They also have a small selection of unique greeting cards. It can be a little pricey but I definitely thought the value of the gifts were worth it! read more

Service is very friendly and accommodating. In December, they have holiday gift boxes and probably something I'll keep coming back for if they continue. They have cute stuff, however when I asked if they had a gift bag, like they had given me in the past, they replied, ohhh we don't gift wrap sale items. $40 for a candle and card I feel warrants a gift bag. Plus I got the $30 sale candle over the $40 because of the color and scent was better. Kind of a lame policy and they were not the most personable employee. I love this shop. The variety in products are what makes them my go to "oh crap I need a last minute gift for my wedding anniversary" Great choices for Men and women and home decor. The staff is always helpful and friendly. It's a nice balance of knowledge without the pressure of a traditional sales associate. I have been shopping at Clover for a few years now and sadly today is my last day to frequent Clover again. I had stopped for a last minute birthday gift and picked up a pair of glasses as well and asked for the gift to be wrapped. I was surprised to hear that they don't gift wrap sale items and I also read a new policy sign stating that purchases under $20 would not qualify for the complimentary gift wrapping, even though my total was $40+? I politely asked if the candle can be put in a bag with tissue and the gent replied "That's gift wrapping". Really?! In there defense the other sales person did wrap it in tissue and tied it with nice metallic string. I am just so surprised with all the local home/clothing stores closing in the area, that Clover would have such a rigid policy on gift wrapping, surly attitude, let alone a "distaste" for sale items or for return customers. My mother-in-law lives right around the corner from this great little boutique and every time we visit her I make a mental note of the need to check this little gem out. Finally the chance presented itself while my husband and his mom decided to partake in the madness that is Costco and I being of sound mind decided to bow out of the trip and check out Clover. While some items are pricey others are not - especially the items on the sale rack. I bought a Loungefly cassette bag that was on sale. They have a nice selection of Hobo purses. One of which I have my eye on and I am taking my coins to Coinstar post-haste to scrounge together cash to purchase it. In addition, to the above items they have clothes, jewelry, sun glasses, teas, and kiddie paraphernalia. Check the place out but stay away from my Hobo bag! I am on my way... read more

I HEART CLOVER! :o) I'm fortunate to live within walking distance to this ultra cute shop and I always end up buying something. they have a great selection of handmade beautifully scented soaps by various brands as well as lotions and perfumes. all reasonably priced. the shelves are filled with knick knacks. as you make your way deeper into the shop you will find tables with designer denim, men's and women's clothing, jewelery, today i even think i spotted children's toys. they also have a sale rack in front of the cash register. one thing i especially love about this shop is that it is very laid-back, i walk in there with my dog and we take our time smelling every little scented candle and whatnot, while the sales lady politely lets us be. of the times I've been there, I have seen three different sales clerks. all, i have found to be very respectful and courteous without being pushy. i wave and say hello when i walk in and i don't see them again until i take my selection of treasures to the cash register. i like that. the few times i have needed assistance or have a question they have been eager to help and again, NEVER PUSHY. read more

Got a bundle of cool stuff today from Clover! I just moved to Silver Lake and decided to take a leisurely stroll down Rowena and discovered this cute little store, full of clothes, knick knacks, various home decor items and a bajillion candles. This 4th of July weekend they were having a sale! 15% off all men and womens clothing- got myself a perfect little 4th of july floral sundress, along with some other random items that I thought were cute. They have an entire counter of dainty jewelry, at fairly reasonable prices. Large selection of jeans, saw some JBrand in there. Lots of LAMade shirts and other random brands. Tons of cutesy little items that are perfect as gifts! As for the customer service: I don't like salespeople. So I just ignore them. If I do have a question, I go ask them. The salespeople at Clover seem just fine to me. I don't give a crap if they talk about their 4th of July plans and ignore the customers, since I am busy ignoring them. They were helpful without being pushy, and let me pile all my stuff onto the counter while I browsed the rest of the store. So yah...good times at Clover. I will be back for more random knick knacks and cool threads. read more

I don't like reviewing non-food establishments on Yelp, but I had to make an exception for this place. It's too cute for life. Haha! Yeah, I said it. Designer jeans, only the ones that are trendy at the moment. None of that Seven For All Mankind and True Religion that was the hottest thing in 2008 bidness. If you're sporting those, you need to pay Trading Crossroads a visit and get rid of that stuff. Then come here to load up on Hudson, Citizens, JBrand, and Paige. Cute dresses and tops. My favorite are the odd little nicknacks you don't need but always want. They've got tons of candles, perfume, lotion, jewelry, tea pots, cutesy water containers that everyone is sporting now, and loads more that would further my sentence run on, so I'll stop. I'm bringing friends here. They'll think I'm cool :) Park in the back, they have their own lot. Otherwise, park in the residential street behind, it's a brisk 2 minute walk. read more

While my realtor was showing off my soon-to-be neck of the woods that is Silverlake/Atwater he pointed out a cute little store that was Clover. He described it to me as the store where all his single friends go to buy their dates a cute gift. Wow, I guess I should have started dating him or his friends... No matter, Clover is such a fun store. Lots of stuff for everyone to enjoy from fun gifts for your friends to gifts for your friend's kids, and even some cute clothing for yourself! I bought one of my favorite pairs of jeans there along with some awesome jewelry. I do find their items priced a little higher than I'd like to spend on a blouse, etc, but the quality of the clothing makes it easier to justify. The icing on the cake for me was when they gave me a free T-shirt with their store logo on it. I love wearing it to the gym and showing off my shopping prowess. read more

Clover has been a Silver Lake staple for adorable gift-shopping! I don't shop here often (though, if I had the cash to spare, I would). But when I do shop here, it's for my favorite perfume and maybe some cute jewelry and greeting cards. I also love perusing the different books and home decor and take mental notes when I see future gifts I want to get for others. It's almost unfair, considering how easy Clover has made Christmas shopping. Last year almost everyone was accounted for in one clean sweep--and this year? THE SAME. They have every kind of sophisticated bauble and knickknack imaginable--scarves, cookbooks, embroidered throw pillows, jewelry, baby books & stuffed animals, socks, door mats, sweaters, oven mitts--and it's all very elegant and stylish. Not only has Clover saved me from having to wade through Black Friday fanatics and ravenous last-minuters, but I've received plenty of high gift-giving praise on birthdays--even Father's Day. Oh Clover, I love you. I drive by the store everyday and look forward to the window displays. Always thoughtful, they dress the windows in a DIY way like no one else. As a fellow creative, I find inspiration just gazing at the windows from afar. Now, inside the store....watch out, people...you are about to fall deep in love. I, myself have had to be very careful not to blow my rent money here (it's so so so tempting). I usually get one little gift for myself. The jewelry is one of a kind, delicate, and stunning. I've bought a few staple necklaces and get compliments all the time. Do not be put off by the year long construction on Rowena. Park in the back and wander inside. You'll love it there and be sure to say hello to the owners. They really are the kindest souls around. There are times where I plan my free time around stopping by this store to see what's new. I love Clover! This is where I go for my non-generic sweaters, cute trinkets and jewelries. My favorite purchase of the moment is my Tulle 3/4 sleeve jacket that I had to put on hold and rush over after work because the store closes at 7 on weekdays :( That's the only downside for me -- I can never make it there in time. Another great thing about Clover is the sales -- marvelous sales! Clover covers a lot of bases well. The shopkeepers* are always very friendly. It's well curated and there's something for everyone. It feels like a more authentic, local, less offensive Urban Outfitters. 80% of the gifts my wife and I have given over the last 3 years PROBABLY came from here. If you've bought something here I PROBABLY TOUCHED IT (with clean hands). There's hipster stuff without being hipstery. The owners and shoppers are normal people who like nice stuff, not weirdos who "curate goods" to make themselves feel relevant. My wife gets clothes here, I occasionally get clothes here - the guy stuff is a handpicked selection of Penguin and other like brands. Shaving kits, candles, flasks. I love their little book and journal collection. If you want to raise a little Wes Anderson, they have the toys and baby stuff to get you started. If it weren't for Clover, our house wouldn't look or smell as good as it does. Like, OK, my couch was pretty darn good on its own. But adorned with a little felty-wool embroidered owl pillow? Another level. And that olive leaf candle flickering softly in the corner? Yummy! I've also found several tops & dresses here that I wear frequently. Unique selection of stuff, occasionally a smidgen overpriced but am happy to shell out a few more bucks to support an independent, local business. Went to this store for the first time today.. i didn't want to leave! so many cute things and gift ideas. Lots of hip, chic and pretty things. perfumes, candles, home goods, interesting trinkets, and even some really fabulous clothes! Really cute stuff for children too. I picked up some great gifts for my friend's birthday. I was glad there was some parking in the back cuz Rowena is always kind of a crazy street, if it's not full of traffic there is always construction going on, so the parking in back was a plus! Just one friendly employee was working and she helped me a bunch. so many great things for men, women and kids at this store. Confusing store. On the one hand, they have the most incredible selection of candles, lotions, teas, teapots, soaps, and assorted other tchotchkes of high chic or quirk value, up to the level of DL & Co. and such. This is a FANTASTIC place to stock up on host/hostess gifts so you never arrive at a party empty-handed. Then there are two back rooms with gorgeous Japanese dishes, cool coffee-table books, sleek mod home accessris, and even a couple of Angela Adams rugs over which to salivate. Then there is a good toy and baby selection and some cute odds and ends. On the other hand, they have racks and racks of clothing. Now, I can find cute clothes in a sandstorm with both hands tied behind my back, and I have never found anything to wear here. Also, the staff is just weird and bemused. Not nasty, just kind of unfriendly in a non-deliberate manner, if that makes any sense whatsoever. read more

If I want a gift shop within walking distance of my homestead, I stroll here - it's generally a bit pricey, but I've been able to find some interesting items here and there - they generally have some cool household things (although the back room was a bit dry when I dropped in this week), and their tea selection (unfortunately, also pricey) is really great. My favorite thing? FREE tea when you walk in. I noticed bigger cups this time around...I burned my tongue (WHY is it so hot, I ask??), but still enjoyed a nice cup of $13 vanilla something-or-other.
