Such a cute and fun place to make keychains, jewelry, bag charms and journals. I took my friend for her 50th to make journals. It was actually a lot of fun and we love how our journals turned out. There are 2 sizes and many color options. A chord, 2 lines inserts and 1 charm are included. There are so many charm options. The only thing I struggled with is that I thought that there would be more help. They give you a QR code to scar for instructions but the video is so fast. You can ask someone to help but when it gets busy, it's hard to ask. Also, putting on the charms is on the more difficult side. But it's a fun place for an outing. Parking is also a little difficult as you need to find street parking. We went right when it opened so it wasn't as crowded so if you don't like crowds, I would suggest going earlier.
A delightful experience! I visited Charmed LA during a special group event making leather-bound journals. The were a good variety of color options. Part of the process included hammering in grommets, which was very fun. Once the journal was complete, we got to select one charm to add as a finishing touch. The charm options were really great. I would love to be back again to make a a key chain charm!
Super cute concept and space with the friendliest staff. I came with a friend to make matching bag charms, and we were helped right away. One of the staff members walked us through how everything worked and helped us pick out chains, which made the whole process feel really easy and welcoming. There were so many adorable charms to choose from--it honestly took us about 15-20 minutes just to narrow it down to six. I low-key envy whoever gets to source all these tiny, fun charms because it looks like such a good time. The shop was pretty packed when we arrived, but the turnover was quick, and it never felt chaotic. We had so much fun chatting and crafting together--truly peak girlhood energy. At the end, the staff was incredibly kind and helped us adjust our chain lengths multiple times, even though they were close to closing. This is such a great activity for friends, groups, mother-daughter dates, or anyone looking for a fun, creative outing. My total came out to around $67, which is more than I usually spend on crafts, but for a special experience like this, it felt worth it. Would absolutely recommend!

Such a cute experience! I went with my little to make some charm bracelets and we are very happy with our experience. The girl working there is so sweet in explaining which chains are gold-filled or stainless steel which is nice since you don't want to have a green tint after touching water. They have a wide selection of charms ranging from cute cherries to initials for your name. Charms range from $5 to $8 but there are some that are on sale for about $3. You can choose your chain to either be a bracelet, keychain , necklace , or even a bag charm! There is also an option for staff to assemble the pieces as well. There's metered parking in the front but it can be hard to find parking. Love the cute pink interior and the vibe of the place! Will definitely come back with my friends next time!
My friend and I had the best time! Sitting down and starting can be a little frustrating in the beginning. However, it became very therapeutic and relaxing for both of us. This was a good outlet, and it allowed me to express myself creatively. I always wanted to make my own jewelry, too. Do not expect to just come in and be done right away. We were there for two hours. I recommend that you not rush through the process and take your time, whether it's picking out the charms or assembling them. There were tons of charms to choose from, but Charmed LA did not have everything. At least, they did not have all the ones I wanted. For example, they did not have dinosaur charms. Tip: Take your time and look around the displays. There were no more silver folding-fan charms, and the staff was really nice to take one from one of their displays. It made my day! The staff were super chill, nice, and helpful. Staff would come by to check on you and see if you needed any help. They can give advice. There are no stupid questions. I did not feel any judgment whatsoever. After you are done assembling, staff can do a final inspection to make sure nothing is loose. The prices for the charms ranged from $3 to $8, so it is going to add up. Just have fun with it without worrying. I was thrilled with the way my charm bracelet came out. I was able to bring a few of my own charms to the store, and the staff were completely fine with that. I added them to my bracelet, and there was no extra cost or hidden fees. Tip: I found free parking on North Crescent Heights Blvd. It was a 10-minute walk to Charmed LA.
Had an okay experience, but probably wouldn't recommend it or come back. The staff was nice when we were waiting and the wait wasn't too bad, but after you sit down you're pretty much entirely on your own. The staff was pretty standoffish, answered questions with one word, and never checked on us. They mainly stayed at the front and seemed bothered any time someone was confused. There were a lot of people inside the shop, but it wasn't busy or chaotic. In fact it was super quiet, my friend and I felt awkward speaking above a whisper. It would have made the atmosphere really relaxing if it weren't for the weird vibes from the staff. It made it feel more like we were in class rather than a fun little crafty space. On top of that, I was super disappointed with the size of the journal. It claims to fit A5, but the notebooks they measure with are nearly half an inch smaller than a true A5, so the wrap doesn't fit my Hobonichi A5 (which was the thing I wanted the journal cover for in the first place). There was an okay selection of charms and a really small selection of leather. Honestly, at the price point I think it's not much cheaper than just buying all the supplies and leather and making it yourself. And then at least you'd have all the supplies to make more if you wanted to. I didn't think it was worth the price and the vibe was so off I wish we would have just left. The journal I left with was fine, but it feels like a waste because it doesn't even work for what I needed it for in the first place!

First time here and had an INCREDIBLE experience! They have such a wide selection of charms to choose from. It was tedious finding exactly the right combination of charms I wanted as well as assembling them, but it was worth it! A very sweet associate named Kate was there. She was immensely helpful and gave great suggestions! I asked if they had a 444 charm I needed and she was more than willing to accommodate to try to find it. Everyone working was so sweet, so I definitely recommend paying a visit!

I've been obsessed with making personalized charm chains for my lip balms lately so when I found out a place like Charmed LA exists, I couldn't wait to visit. They open at 11am seven days a week so I arrived around 5 minutes after they opened their doors on a Saturday hoping to avoid any potential crowds. And of course, they had some kind of girl group outing going on plus a few other customers. This little shop filled up quickly! The reason for this four star rating is because with that many people, the charms area was crowded and difficult to navigate. You want to take your time and choose the perfect charms that will represent you or the theme you're going for. But at the same time, you have to possibly be all up on other people's personal space a vice versa. My suggestion is to split your charm categories to spread out and utilize both sides of the wall. The girls working there are genuinely friendly and would give you a hand if you need some extra help with securing your charms together. Charms are $5 each and chains will vary depending on what you want to make (necklace, bracelet, keychain, bag chain etc). Street parking and metered parking spots only.
I think I may have found a new hobby! This spot is so cutesy and fun to experience. It is the perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion with gal pals or to simply enjoy doing something crafty. I saw on social media that a lot of events were hosted at Charmed LA and I always wanted to check it out. So I was excited when I was able to attend an event hosted by banu last week. The store is pretty small/cozy but it wasn't uncomfortable. There were a lot of chains to choose from (and accessory type, like necklace, bracelet, bag charm, phone charm) and even more charm options. There were a lot of good options that it took me a while to decide but the staff was patient and didn't rush me. At first, it was a bit difficult to get the charms attached but the staff was helpful and eventually I got the hang of it. Parking isn't the easiest but I was able to find free street parking so it's definitely worth circling the block. I loved how my bag charm turned out and it was fun putting it together. I think it's a great place to go by yourself or host a birthday party or event at. I hope to visit again soon! read more

Came with some friends and loved the whole experience. So many charms to choose from and setup was a large communal table style so it was easy to chat with others and see their work too. Probably not a thing you'll do more than a few times but very sweet overall read more

Do you journal or want to start? This is a great hands on experience. I was a walk in and didn't know what to expect. The staff played close to attention to and found me comfortable chair. You get to choose from a selection of journal covers, grommets and strings. They offer a wide selection of charms at different price points. I walked out rocking my A5 and added my current journal to it. I will be going back for an A4. read more
This is a cute shop to make your own charmed jewelry! I decided to make a necklace, I got a gold coated stainless steel chain for $16. Bracelets go for $14. If you want a nicer metal, they go for $30+. They have a huge variety of charms that you can choose from that range from $3 to $8. They give you a little receipt where you put the prices of the charm yourself. Def check out their IG! This is a Do It Yourself shop where you choose your chain, the length, and as many charms as you want. And put them on the chain yourself! You also install the clasp yourself. It definitely felt a little more expensive than I would've liked as my necklace turned out to be about $46. In terms of service, there's a staff member that helps you choose the length of chain and explains pricing. Another staff member at the register, and another person to keep the stations clean. read more

So cute! Like get here now. I came for an event where my chain was covered in my ticket price and I paid for charms separately. Most charms were $3 or $5. For my chain I got stainless steel because it should last longer. I did a bag chain, but they also have braclets and necklaces. You can DIY these yourself elsewhere but it's nice because it's everything you need in one place, and it's a fun activity to do with your girls, so worth it to me. The owner and other staff members were really nice and helpful as well. Parking is street parking (meters). read more
Very cute place overall! Went on a Saturday and it was very busy, had to wait outside to que in to pick charms and chains. Lots of charms and they do seem to circulate choices. Overall &14-$16 for the chain and $5 for most charms. A little expensive but good for a fun activity read more

This is such a cute store!! I found out about this event through social media and got a ticket to their GIMME X CHARMED LA GALENTINE'S DAY EVENT. I love how you can create a customized 5 piece charm set. It was so fun and easy to learn how to make! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I can't wait to come back and create more charms. I love that they offer so many kinds of charms to choose from that it was really fun to customize it and make it personal. I was so surprised they even had a little dr. Pepper charm which is my favorite! Highly recommend coming here and bringing all your friends! Such a cute, easy, and fun activity. read more

So fun! Went with my friends this weekend and I like how everything is very independent and on your own time. I brought my own charms, and ended up just getting 2 there. The price is so good compared to anywhere else. The staff was nice and there were so many charms and chains to choose from. Will definitely be back :) read more

Was here with my daughters for my birthday. What a fun and relaxing experience! Everyone is so kind and welcoming. They have oh so many charms to choose from so deciding what to do was hard. This is a great activity to bring friends together. While they didn't have every charm I hoped to find (as an actor I wanted comedy/tragedy masks, and as a writer I wanted a typewriter or a pen), they did have a lot that I loved. There are a lot of chain options and charm options. One person in my group made a bag chain with one big charm on it. Another made a bracelet with a BUNCH of charms. And the other two of us made necklaces (I put 6 charms on mine). My total was around $50, and I felt the experience and the ability to customize the necklace were well worth that to me. I also bought a pack of jewelry pliers from the shop so that I can make and repair charm jewelry at home now. The staff there stays out of your way, but is helpful if you need assistance. Looking forward to going back in the future. read more

I went to charmed for my friends birthday celebration. I looovveee the ambiance of the place so pink and girlie. They have soooo many cute chains to start with at good pricing I literally wanted every chain! They had really cute charms, my only thing I wish some of the smaller charms were priced at $2 instead of all charms being $5 some of the larger charms are $8 but there was no pricing for small charms like the red stone, and small butterfly charms I got I think could be less in prices. I got 10 charms plus my anklet the total was $72. The staff were so helpful, So friendly, and so patient with so many girls, I can't wait to come back and make more pieces such a cute fun activity. Plans to be there for minimum 2 hours to make your piece. read more

Was walking on Melrose and noticed this cute shop, so my friend and I had a spontaneous date! We had such a fun experience choosing our charms and putting our one of kind pieces together. There were so many different styles to choose from. I want to go back and create more fun pieces! Not only that, the staff was so sweet and helpful.
