Me and a friend came here to decorate phone holders and were genuinely excited about the experience. The activity itself is cute and creative. However, the pricing structure is poorly communicated. The board clearly lists "Phone Holder - $20" under Decoden Art, with no size descriptions or visual distinctions. Based on that, we reasonably assumed the bunny phone stand we selected fell under that category -- because it is, in fact, a phone holder. Even the staff member assisting us was under the same impression. We spent several hours decorating our items based on the $20 price we were told. Only after we finished were we informed that our item was actually $45, and that the $20 "phone holder" supposedly refers to a much smaller grip-style piece. That distinction is not explained anywhere on the pricing board. There is also a "Phone Holder with Key Chain" listed, yet our item did not match that description either, which makes the pricing even more confusing. While the staff were understanding about the confusion, the manager refused to honor the price that was communicated to us and stated that our only options were to pay $45 or leave the item behind. There was no attempt to meet us halfway or acknowledge that the signage itself is unclear. If you're going to advertise pricing, it needs to be clearly defined. TuTu Fun is now across their former location and is right next to Hai Di Lao! I arrived on a Monday at 12:30pm. It's MLK day so with it being a holiday, there were many people who walked in this afternoon and although you can ask about walk-ins, it's best to have an appointment because it can get busy in this new space! The staff are all so kind and helpful so please be kind on a busy day. Natalie and the team were all knowledgeable in their activities and so patience during their teaching session. I opted for a rug tufting session and did a small sized rug along with my boyfriend. Our session was roughly 4 hours. You could be done earlier though! We spent some time with content capture and chatting. A larger sized rug will take longer. I submitted the images we wanted to do. They set up a projector of the image for tracking. Then we practiced a few lines of tufting and then got started. Once we were close to finish, they checked and let us know where to fill in the gaps. Once good, they will finish up gluing and cutting for you and then let you know when to come back for pick up. Overall, it's a fun experience and I definitely enjoyed my first time! It is definitely a workout haha so take a break for your hand/arms. In terms of parking, we paid $35 maximum charge. (After the 4 hours, I had dinner.) The validation at Gelson's didn't matter since we weren't within 3 hours. read more

Came in for the candle making and fluid bear and didn't know what I was walking into and loved every second. I didn't realize how intricate the candle making was which made it even more fun and the fluid bear definitely surprised me. Something so simple can be so fun with all the color choices and designs you can do with just pouring art. The rug tufting experience itself was fine and the staff were generally pleasant, but there's an important logistical issue that easily takes away from this experience at this location. This location is inside Century City Mall, where parking becomes very expensive after the first free hour. Knowing this, I asked about parking options immediately upon arrival and followed the staff's recommendation to use Gelson's validation (purchased in $10 increments for limited time windows). What wasn't explained is that validation becomes void even minutes past the window, and because medium-sized rugs require long sessions, repeated exiting and re-entry over the course of the day to satisfy that window caused parking costs to compound unexpectedly. Our session lasted most of the day due to image selection, required changes, and instruction, which made this especially challenging. I understand the mall controls parking rates, not the business. However, for an experience that regularly lasts many hours, clearer upfront guidance about parking constraints would help guests make informed decisions about location, timing, or transportation. Later, a dismissive interaction with the owner further impacted the experience, which made it difficult to recommend this location specifically. If you're considering booking here, I'd strongly suggest clarifying parking logistics in advance or choosing another tufting shop overall. Total parking cost for 2 cars (drove separately) totaled $83 by the time we finished our rugs. read more

We both made size small rugs which were $78 a little steep but it was an amazing experience and I loved how the rug came out even though we were beginners. The lesson is very easy and it's nice they put you in a private room. I will say they do not validate parking and the rug took us probably 6 hours total since there was a lot of waiting around and you do have to have a lesson before you start and the actual process takes around 4.5 hrs so plan accordingly to come on separate days or move your car since the mall parking is very expensive. read more

We did the candle-making activity and had the best time! Me and two girlfriends had a private setup in the back, which made the experience feel cozy and personal. We were able to pick out out own scents, cute jars/cups, dyes, and even the candle material (they have sand, wax, and gel!) -- everything was customizable! There were so many cute decorations and toppings to pick from, it was honestly hard to decide what kind of style we wanted to go with. I think we spend majority of our time smelling every single scent LOL The whole experience took about 1.5 to 2 hours. My friends and I came here after class to look for some blind boxes, although we knew this was a tufting place. The girl working there, Natalie, was super helpful and sweet and showed us all the trinkets and blind boxes they had. We booked a reservation for their candle making class but they were almost out of stock for so many items we wanted. We wanted to make the cocktail candle but they said they were running low on the jelly, ice cubes, garnishes, etc. Why would we pay between $38-79 when we can't even get what we want. $38 gets you the tiniest "mini" candle which isn't even worth making, so you'll spend at LEAST $56 for the next size up which is a "small." We were disappointed with the selection and decided to leave without making any candles. I will say that the girl who helped us was very patient and friendly. The experience was mediocre at best, and only that because kids are forgiving and just have fun being create and messy. Writing this review with mixed feelings. The basis for my review will be evaluated as follows: kids experience, customer service, and quality and value of product My kids enjoyed the experience as they were able to freely create. There were two different age groups present with completely different projects. The younger kids chose to work on a more elaborate project that would take more time and attention to detail. Needless to say the teens were bored as they finished crafting early. Overall both groups were happy to have crafted. With respect to the customer service I felt as though I did not have an associate present long enough to fully guide us through the process. We were encouraged to push the button if we needed assistance. I appreciate having the space available to craft but I needed to feel supported throughout the process. While crafting my kids charms kept falling off the edges and thus patterns were compromised as she was forced to smooth out the disturbed areas. The associates were pleasant and I appreciated their help. The photos address the quality of the product however, the damage may have been due to negligence to thoroughly dry in store. We were told our projects needed 20 minutes in store to dry and thus we left them to return for pick up later. The photos taken reflect the completed product picked and transported in the car roughly 20-30 minutes later. There is significant smudging as though the product is still extremely fragile and not dry. I am deeply bothered as my daughter's product is ruined and in comparison her friend's product is still in tact. I would appreciate if this review warrants customer service to respond and provide a remedy to $42 wasted. My kid is devastated and embarrassed to take this holder to school. read more

TLDR: do NOT go to the candle-making activity expecting much. You will waste money, time, and leave with disappointment if you're an adult. Could be a cute activity for the kids though. Did the candle making activity a few weeks ago. Here are some issues I noticed: 1) When I arrived on time, the front desk had me wait over 15 minutes just standing around. The candle-making instructor was just hanging out at the front desk even though time was ticking. Extremely unorganized and unprofessional. 2) When I was finally seated, I noticed the area where I'll be sitting is extremely dirty and dimly lit. When I asked for some extra napkins so I could clean up some of the mess on the table, the instructor looked at me weird and asked why I needed napkins. Very unprofessional. I went thinking it would be an aesthetic activity, but felt disgusted in actuality. 3) Lack of options for the candle making activity. You get a few floral decorations, some fake orange slices and that's it. Mind you, you're paying anywhere between $40-80 for this candle/experience. 4) The coloring dye used to color the candle wax ended up getting all over my hands, arms, and clothes. This is my fault obviously, but the least the team could've done is warn me or give out some aprons. Instead, the instructor was extremely inattentive the whole time, left the premises frequently, and just felt like they were ready to go home. I ended up paying around $80 for the candle. I could've gotten an extremely high quality candle from Diptyque for that price... AND the experience does not make up for it. read more

We had to wait sooooo long to get started. But once we were set up it was a lot of fun and the staff were really nice and helpful! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of how long we had to wait. Before we started and then after. Half our group had to wait 2 hours to get their rugs trimmed! Rarely do I leave reviews but I felt as though this needed one. The concept is very cute, but the service was terrible. The girl at the cashier was great and super helpful, but the person assisting with the candle making was extremely unhelpful. We understand she might be new, but she didn't bother to help find items when we asked and couldn't answer any of our questions. She also gave us very little control over our own projects. At the station, the colors were mixed up and hard to figure out what was what. They also had very few options of the candle charms laid on the table. The directions were often unclear and it was really awkward with the worker hovering over us. She would take over some of the steps for some of our candles but not for the other ones and it limited our control over our project. It was also said multiple times that we can't make the colors lighter by adding a smaller amount of dye, but we definitely could and when we got another try at mixing it worked. The price was extremely high for such poor service and I would recommend going to a different location if at all. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 star is because the concept is cute and the candles turned out cute, the service just made it unfortunate. read more

And she said oh that sign Which makes no sense so I should care about the sign that says six dollars for using an extra color that I'm paying for And don't care about the sign that says our items are discounted They just seem like they did not either their job. A great idea but huge fails with customer service. I made an appt for rug tufting and the girl at the front told me they were short on staff when I got there, so we couldn't do rug tufting. If we weren't going to be able to do it then I should have been notified prior to my appt. They offered an alternative which was the bear painting but my goddaughter and I didn't like it. It was cute and fun until we finally got to unbox our finished work. My kids decorated mirrors and the staff put some kind of adhesive to make the mirrors stick onto the box and it won't come off. The mirror side looks so messy and it's quite disappointing considering how much we paid. I drove over two hours to make a present for my partner's birthday, only to be told they didn't have what I wanted in stock. When I went home, I saw on the store's Instagram story that they had just received a new shipment of what I was looking for. What the heck! Plus, the staff member spent only a few minutes showing us what to do and didn't offer guidance along the way, which another review here mentions. Also, limiting each person to 3 cream colors and 15 charms is a rip-off for the price we're paying! It's under $15 online for 100 charms (see image attached). Why be so stingy?
