I came here for a friend's birthday party and I had an absolute blast! My friend was able to set up a three hour time period where we work on a 12"x12" rug. (Prior to the party, our hosts asks us to send her our design where the Tutu Fun crew reviews and examines it.) When I arrived to the studio part of the shop, our canvases are all set up in our workstations. There is a tutorial in the beginning where we are taught safety rules and how to work the tufting gun. I came to the party late but managed to get the party late but managed to finish my piece in the remainder 2 hours after going through the tutorial. Lily and Laura (or Lore? I apologize but I may have heard her name wrong) were THEEE best instructors. I managed to pick up the lesson pretty well but they were great at assisting, answering questions, checking our work and giving advice, and finishing our 10 pieces so we all didn't have to come back to pick it up. I had sooooo much fun and the feeling of joy is indescribable with bringing my mini rug home. There are so many crafts available that it is making me want to come back to try them all. This was our third visit at Tutu Fun and one of our child's first birthday parties hosted here. We opted for one of their birthday packages and chose the clock for our child and their best of friends to paint, create and decorate. The space is a good size for an intimate and small party. We had 8 children along with their parents. We had the space all to ourselves. You can bring your own food and decorations however, we chose not to as we hosted a lunch at a restaurant for our child's birthday before coming to Tutu Fun. We just wanted this space and time for the children to have fun and bask in their creativity. I booked with Tutu Fun in person 3 weeks in advance and paid a deposit at booking. A week and half later I received a call saying they apologized as there was another booking and that they might have to move our time slot. I informed them when I booked our party in person all the other time slots were open and what changed. They informed me they will look into it. Didn't hear back from them until several days before my party and informed us that we are set to go. I didn't change any planning nor time in our part since we did everything accordingly. Someone probably made an error on their end and they tried to resolve it. At the end of the party, please make sure to check your receipt. There is an undisclosed additional charge on your receipt but doesn't disclose what it's for. We tipped the sweet girl generously with cash that took care of our party as she was great with the children and parents. She involved everyone and the other 3 employees just stood around. Myself and two other moms helped clean up as our instructor was awesome and we felt bad she doesn't have the support she needed with her co workers. Sadly, this place was a 3-star experience for me. Why you ask? The staff was great, but we didn't get what we reserved for. Rewind back to about a month ago, we came in to inquire about cost, availability and logistics such as bringing in food, set up and possibly a cake for our daughter's birthday as this is where she wanted to have it with her cousins. They said to book online, which we did and we chose the clock option. Fast forward to the day of the party, we inquired about the clock and they said it was sold out. Why not hold the clocks for the party or order some more before the reserved time slot? Frustrated and sad, my daughter opted for the notebook. Come to find out there wasn't enough for everyone at the party either so one of her cousins who wasn't happy hearing that had to do a different project. Overall, quite disappointed with this experience as we thought everything would be a great experience for the kids, but all ended up being disappointed as the expectation was to work on designing a clock. If it wasn't for the fantastic staff's patience guiding the kids and showing them how to do the project, this would've been a 2-star experience. Also, food is ok to bring, but a cake is not. Cupcakes is what they suggested as a substitute. We opted to bring snacks such as cookies, candies and chips. read more

Such a fun arts and crafts studio in Westfield Fashion Square! We came for rug tufting, but you can decorate phone cases, paint little figurines and make candles here, too. There are also mystery collectible boxes for purchase if interested. Rug tufting takes quite a few hours - about 4 hours for our medium-sized creations - and it's rather pricey. Medium costs ~$115 and small costs ~75, to give you an idea of the price point. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are strongly encouraged to ensure they have availability. If you pre-plan and send in your image ahead of time, they can stencil it for you. They do teach you how to make the rug, so this is a beginner-friendly activity for those at least 12 years old. TutuFun is a phenomenal venue to host any birthday party. The variety of DIY projects are vast. The venue is extremely clean and the variety of charms used for the projects are unique and cute! The location is easy to get to with plenty of shopping mall parking the service provided by the hostesses at the event was top-notch. This was one the funniest date night we've ever done. It's in the Sherman oaks Galleria not too far from the entrance of Macys. You can do a variety of crafts here but we did the candle making. You pick all the ways you want to customize your candle, the smell, Gel or Wax, Colors and Evening on top. We designed our to look like cocktails. Once you have it all picked then the staff is there to help you to do it. It's not cheap BUT completely worth it because it's original, fun and not your same ol date night. read more

She looked over to the cashier and they both said yes. We waited in line for about 20 minutes only to be charged $14.99. When I asked why, she said she got the price wrong. She refused to honor the price she originally gave me . She claimed to be the manager but certainly did not lead or act as one. This is a store targeted for children. I drove all the way from Northern California to visit this shop because I'd heard great things about their crunchy squishies. After waiting over 30 minutes to an hour just to get inside, I bought a mango and an orange squishy. Unfortunately, they both broke open the same day. When I got home, I noticed the mango already had a tiny hole in it that I hadn't seen in the store and since the line was so long, I didn't want to go all the way back and wait again. Then, later that same day, the orange opened up at the seal. I own a lot of squishies and have never had one pop before, so having both of my purchases fail immediately was incredibly disappointing. For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality. After making the long drive and waiting in the heat, I left feeling like the products simply weren't worth the cost. Sadly, I can't recommend this shop based on my experience. read more

Super fun spot! Came here on a Friday night around 7 and it wasn't busy at all. You can choose between paint pour, making a rug, or decoden decorating. We chose decoden because if you do paint pour you have to come back and pick up your item. For decoden they have a bunch of items to decorate like phone cases, mirrors, frames, ipods case, mini purse, etc. They have a ton of charms to choose from that are all color coded - it's pretty overwhelming but so fun! They teach you how to pipe the cream onto your surface and there are different icing tips to get various effects. You can choose up to 3 colors of cream, and unlimited charms. It was a great experience. They don't have a bathroom inside, you have to walk to Macy's. Staff is helpful and nice. I wish there were better size variations of the charms from tiny to the large ones. Pricing is pricey for certain items, like a phone case is $42. read more
