Maybe if you don't care about money. The place was muggy, no air conditioning, not even a fan around. The prices are extremely high and not clearly marked on the stuff you are going buy. There are signs saying 30% off throughout the store but when you pay, you cannot see what he is ringing up and at the end you pay a lot and some of the prices don't match what you think you bought. Just walked out of the store very disappointed, the customer service is extremely poor. The seller started raising his voice and yelling literally at my 6 year old daughter telling her not to pick this and that because it's an extra 30 min of work for him to put 20 beads back into boxes. Con artists! One item didn't have a price on it so they made up a price at checkout that is 5x that of any other supply store in LA. The materials for chains here are incredibly cheap and insanely overpriced. The owner of King's Beads attached an enhancer to a fossilized Nautilus I selected from her Bead Shop; I am impressed the owner also repaired my Sheppard hook earrings attaching one beautiful pearl to each earring (unfortunately, I lost one of the earrings while exploring San Francisco a few days ago! Doh!). I also purchased a long strand of baroque pearls from the owner for $60.00 which is a fantastic price for baroque sea pearls! After repairing my jewelry, the owner suggested I visit King's Beads at the San Mateo County Event Center; I attended the event on July 6-8 2012 and I was satisfied attending "My Favorite Bead Show." Bad service is one thing. Being verbally assaulted and followed outside the store by the employee calling me a fa**it and threatening to attack me is another. I went in there looking for a screw spike I had lost and to see if they had one. After trying to sell me an item that wasn't a screw the guy working said what I was looking for didn't exist. I laughed and said it does, I'm holding one and then left. He followed my outside screaming at me, calling me a fa**it and other obscene words. It was beyond frightening and totally uncalled for. This place needs to fire the man that was working on Oct 11th at 5:15 pm. He is scary and emotionally unstable. I never made fun of you. I walked into Kings beads needing a tiny jump ring replacement for a pair of earrings. The guy working there was super helpful, sorting through a bin of jump rings to find the right one. Then he took the time to fix it for me, which was super helpful and generous. He could have sent me on my way with the jump ring. He went beyond what I asked for. That is incredible customer service. Their prices are expensive if you're trying to by in bulk , but they have a very wide selection. They have everything from beads to chains to stones. They all seem a little skeptical of everyone who walks in and they watch you super closely , but I guess that's to be expected working in the jewelry business. They have you put your bag in a locker towards the front of the store, so definitely carry your wallet with you once you store because you can't get your bag until you're done checking out. 8/10 would recommend. read more
