Staff did not acknowledge me walking in or continuing to stand there waiting for several minutes. He finally decided to glance my way asking if I needed help (obviously) & called over a girl to assist. When I let her know I'm looking to drop in & I have prior experience she tells me "oh we're more of a beginners class or membership kind of studio so we don't really have anything for you..." Another women mentions they have a class offering but realizes it was the wrong date. I glance around at the completely empty studio & then she says "The only other thing is I have a class I'm teaching in...7 minutes & it's completely empty so you could attend that & just do what you want..." Why would you not lead with that? She tells me it'll be $110. I pass because I'm not paying an exorbitant price if this is the service I can expect from them. "Sorry we didn't have something for you." Sounded like you had something perfect for me but didn't want me to stay, so what on Earth do you mean?

It was in the early afternoon. I rang the doorbell and the woman working buzzed the door open but I didn't catch the handle in time. After attempting again to get in to the store by ringing again and pulling the door but she walked to the back and never came back. I waited a few minutes and then left. I found it rude and am so disappointed. I have spent money at this store in the past because they have a nice selection. I did not expect to be treated as though I was not welcome. We made eye contact so it's not as though she didn't see me or hear the bell ring. I came here in lieu of going to my normal wholesaler because I felt it would be good to support a smaller business. I regret that choice.

I went into Kings Beads today intending to purchase several loose gemstones. While browsing, I…read morefound a piece of sunstone that was clearly marked $7 each. I brought that stone and a few others to the counter and asked what the total would be. When the employee told me the sunstone was actually supposed to cost more, he said it had been marked incorrectly and told me, essentially, that he would honor the $7 price "this time," but that he had just changed the price and it would cost more next time. I said okay and decided I would purchase the sunstone. However, when he realized I no longer wanted to purchase the other stones, his attitude completely changed. He told me that he was no longer going to give me the sunstone for the price it was listed at. I asked him directly, "So you're not going to sell it to me for the listed price?" and he said no. I told him that I thought that was shitty business practice, and his response was completely unacceptable. He told me "fuck you," "get out," and "go fuck yourself." He then continued yelling at me and shooed me out of the store. Regardless of a pricing mistake, there is absolutely no excuse for speaking to a customer that way. If the price was genuinely listed incorrectly, I understand that mistakes happen, but the situation could have been handled professionally. Instead, I was verbally abused and kicked out simply because I questioned the pricing and decided not to purchase the other items. I will not be returning to Kings Beads, and based on this experience, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before spending your money here. Edit- I just learned what took place is illegal. I will be filing complaints with the La county DCBA. Truly unfortunate as they did have some nice things and I may have been a repeat customer had this not occurred. As a business owner myself, I'll let you guys know that treating a customer with respect and overcorrecting your own mistakes instead of abusing a customer over them will always end better.

She was detailed with her directions and also demonstrated the steps well before having us jump in. She also told us reasonings behind what we were doing to make us understand the process. Parking: there were plenty of street parking for our time frame. For busier days though, I'd say give yourself ample time!

I use a coupon for the items I think are overpriced. Check their website for online promos because you can order online and then pick up in the store. I did and got a much better deal. I had asked an employee about it and she said to find her when I was ready. I pulled all the merchandise myself to make it easier, checked out in front of her and it was done. She was so surprised that I brought up the items but I was in retail for decades, I know how it is. Also, *prices are often not the same on the site*! Have to admit that I didn't buy a few things because the prices were higher than in the store by about $3 and it pissed me off more than once. The employees work their butts off while still being helpful and friendly. On the bummer side is that stock is not kept up which is corporates fault. I'm not talking about during big sales because that would be impossible. Be advised that the structure now charges for parking. I'd stop in to check out their wallets, phone cases, souvenir items, keepsakes and alternative leather goods (if any) though they mostly specialize in top quality unique leather - leather belts, backpacks, purses, etc. The guy was always really nice to me and other customers and would ask if I needed any thing. Was always curious if they'd bring in some vegan leather goods eventually and would check back. She did this all for the price of the frame and was very kind and pleasant. This saved me so much trouble and I really appreciate it. In the past, this Michaels seemed to have a staff shortage, and the checkout was a drag. I know the self-checkout isn't new here, but it has changed everything; it's fast and efficient, leaving the staff able to focus on helping the customers.
