Interior of store

Love this store! The store is very well organized and easy to shop. There weren't a lot of people employees around to assist and for some reason the lights in certain parts of the store kept going off! Other than that, it was very easy to find what I needed. I was happy that they still had some Christmas decor there for 80% odd and since I'm a member of their rewards program, I had a $5 rewards certificate that they had added to my account. Everything is already fairly priced and on top of that they have sales going on. Love the quality of items here as well. The parking is super easy with the underground garage although it can be a little tricky to find the store if you're not familiar with the strip mall. It's tucked behind bar method on the top level.

Michael's is one of those stores that you go into when you want to purchase items to create art and/or other craft orientated items. Of course, they also have a very nice framing facility within each of their stores. All Michael's stores are in some ways the same, but they each have a unique set of items that other stores throughout the Los Angeles area may not carry. This being said, you will always be able to find the canvas, the paint, the paint brushes, and the other art orientated items that you will need at any one of their stores. The one thing I will say about this Michael's is that it feels a bit more confined than the other locations that I commonly go to. This store is located on the second level of the shopping plaza, so you have to take the escalator to get to it. Even in the open area between the escalator and the store itself, it feels kind of enclosed. When you go inside the store, there's no large windows, letting light in, as is common in most Michael's locations. I believe this is why the store feels more cramped and less bright, and free-flowing. This being said, it does not mean that they don't have all the stuff that Michael's is known for. So you'll be sure to be able to find what you're looking for. As it's always the case with all Michael's locations, the staff is always very nice, helpful, and willing to help you find and/or decide upon what you need. This is a great place to go when you need what Michael's has to offer.

7 frames ordered, 2 delivered in separate packages, 1 shattered.

Was unable to shop here because the elevator was broken and I can't go up the escalator with a stroller. Wasted a half hour of my day.

Went in last night to get some frames for a few prints and Oscar in the framing department could not have been more helpful.

La Knitterie has been around the block; I came across a book written in the 90s by Edith, one of…read morethe owners, in a used bookstore recently. But the shop has completely not kept up with the times. Not having your inventory priced with tags is a no-go, full stop. "It's too hard" or "we have too much stuff" are not acceptable explanations when it creates a really awkward situation for everyone involved: the owner, who has to look up prices individually, and the customer, who may be caught out at the register when something is out of budget. Their tenure is evident by the sheer volume of things they have, and to their credit, their stock is extremely varied and large. Quite easy to lose two hours here. But I found the service hot and cold: they'd sometimes follow me around, but respond coldly when I asked questions. The pricing structure and service just made this a really unpleasant experience that was not at all offset by their large stock. I will skip this when I'm in the area and won't be recommending to friends.

This shop is MASSIVE, with thousands of yarn made up of different fibers from acrylics to cashmere to camel to merino wool; you name it! They also have a big selection of buttons, knitting patterns, embroidery/cross knit patterns, and knitting supplies. What I love is they have a knitting club on site where you can also get lessons and help if you've reached a problem with your knitting. Prices are not displaced on yarn as they have so many so I would advise gathering a few choices and then asking about their pricing so you can find one in your budget. This is a family owned small business and I chatted with the son of the owners for a few minutes and this seems like such a lovely location establishment to have in our neighborhood, especially if you're a knitter. You can make an account for free with the store that will save your purchase history if you need more of a purchased item and also they have a newsletter you can sign up for that includes information on sales!

Was there shopping for a birthday present for an artist friend and know absolute diddly squat about paint and that is when a hero with braids appeared to save the day. I never caught her name but she made quite the impression on this experience and if I got her name I'd shout her BIG TIME because I wouldn't have got everything I needed if it wasn't for her assistance...TOP TIER customer service. Otherwise, store was organized and priced right; will be my go too art supply source moving forward.

Walk in here and you can smell the ambition, acrylic, and caffeine. It's like stepping into a time capsule where brushes still matter, ink still stains, and creativity doesn't come with a subscription fee. The value here and the prices were super reasonable. I came here with my draftsman, a guy who still draws by hand -- a dying breed in a world that runs on Ctrl+Z. Watching him walk these aisles was like watching a monk in a cathedral. Every shelf, every pen, every tube of paint is curated chaos. And the best part? The staff actually care. They know the difference between gouache and watercolor -- and they don't judge you for mispronouncing it. Friendly service, clean restrooms (a small miracle in Los Angeles), and a selection so deep it could inspire Picasso's ghost to start over. From sketchbooks to sculpting tools, markers to mat cutters, they've got everything you need to make something real -- or at least look like you tried. Blick's been around since 1911, and this Beverly Blvd location has kept L.A.'s art scene supplied through every phase -- from punk flyers to NFT hangovers. It's an institution, and it deserves to stay that way. Blick Art Materials is a love letter to real art in a copy-paste world. The service is friendly, the aisles are inspiring, and the supplies are top-notch. If you make anything with your hands, your heart, or even just a stubborn sense of nostalgia -- support this place. Because when shops like this vanish, so does a little bit of the soul of Los Angeles. Support this place -- or someday the only "art supplies" left will be ring lights. Blick is where real artists shop while influencers pretend to paint.

I've been in the morning as well as before closing. It's always busy. Guess it's a good thing on their part. Like mentioned, I don't recommend coming in for the last minute holiday decorations. You would think as it's early in December, they'll have some things left over. Well, majority of things are gone. Loads of the isles have been cleared already. I've even seen some employees taking down the fixtures already. It's good for them but if you're looking for the decoration, I do recommend coming early. Like a month or so. They have them out early and most are on sale. It's still half off for Christmas items. You'll still get things there as they have random stuffs. But majority of holiday items are gone. I don't know if they'll restock anything now but if you're not looking for something particular, I'm sure they'll have it. It's also a store that literally carries everything. It's basically a Joann's, Michael's and a Home Goods all under one roof. There's everything that you can want or need in a craft store of such. Also, why is it that all the store seems to be short with cashiers. There's always a massive line in the store and there's like 3, maybe 4 cashier. If you coming, just make sure not to be in a rush. But I'm sure you'll end up leaving with one thing or a cart of things. They alway do have amazing discounts.
