Pieces are made by hand in class. Cup was made by Yuli, our instructor

Taking a pottery class at this studio was such a rewarding experience. Our instructor, Yuli, was kind, attentive, and explained everything clearly, which made me feel comfortable even as a beginner. The environment is calm, welcoming, and truly a safe space for everyone. It's a perfect place to destress, be creative, and connect with others in the community. Why buy when you can make your own crockery for home! The studio offers plenty more, classes like watercolor, acrylic, hand building, knitting; there's always something new!

Nice little studio! Came for the group pottery class for Valentines, and we had a good time. Not gonna lie, I was nervous at first because my previous experience of making pottery was kinda frustrating. But I've gotta say, the entire learning process at the Echo Art Studio was easy and fun! The instructor was so patient and taught us step by step, always helping to make corrections. The only suggestion would be the practicing time, it was a little shorter than we thought. Some of us felt rushed finishing at the end. (Yeah as a beginner we probably need more practice) Other than that, great experience! Note: 90 mins class for $65 per person! There is a small lot and a few meter parking spots on the street. Would recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting messy. And for the ladies, you might need a hair tie!

Just wrapped up my second month of beginner classes with Artemis. She's an excellent instructor and I had a lot of fun learning and refining the basics in these classes. Definitely recommend :)

I took beginner and intermediate classes and enjoyed honing a new skill so much that I am now a member. The studio offers various glazes, which you can fire at different temperatures.

My boyfriend and I decided to take a class here for Valentine's Day. I had told him that I wanted to do this, and he found the studio in an online search. I had such a great time. Yuli was so helpful. We took the class with five other couples. She had wine, chocolates, and cookies for everyone when we got there. After we got to know each other a little bit, there was a lot of laughing. I really appreciate that Yuli helped us all break the ice by telling each other our names and an interesting fact about ourselves. I needed a lot of help during the session because I have acrylic nails, which made it difficult to shape my bowl. Yuli was very understanding and helped me find ways to not let my nails get in the way. I will definitely go back! Also, they are moving locations this coming week and there will ample parking at the new location!

What was my bowl, but eventually became a small flower pot...

They do a great job of letting kids express themselves, and at the same time teaching them about different artists and techniques. We had her birthday party there this year and it was AMAZING. The kids had a ton of fun and created beautiful individual paintings and a group painting. I highly recommend it. The staff were so helpful and made the experience fun for everyone. So when it came time to enroll in summer camps, I searched through the multitude of art camps, almost ignoring Kids Artistic Sense because it is housed in the near-barren Westside Pavillion. I am so glad that I decided instead to go check it out in person. Such a pleasant surprise. A most beautiful (and clean!) facility focused on real art (not piles of papers & craft projects that you don't know what to do with). Other activities like Legos, clay/kinetic sand, even an area for ball play so kids can shake their wiggles out! The most warm & encouraging staff, led by Miss Sandra who truly knew my son after his first visit. We started with a one-day trial on Memorial Day & ended up signing up for 3 weeks of summer camp. (2 of which are already sadly done). My son cannot wait to go back in July for his 3rd week & we are trying to rearrange our schedule to add another week. It is that special! Check out the paintings he is most proud of! And go check it out for yourself :)

I've been taking the handbuilding pottery class (as opposed to the wheel throwing class which they also offer). The handbuilding classes are taught by an incredible artist named Rob Homsy who is a patient and fun instructor. There is an assortment of people in his classes - all ages and an array of skills. Some of us are total beginners and others could sell their pottery because it's so great. What I especially love about this class is that Rob doesn't do the thing where "this week we're making wind chimes" and that's what the entire class must do. He definitely teaches us all of the basics and suggests what we may want to build, but he also genuinely supports whoever wants to make a giant cup, or an elephant for a gift, or a planter, or whatever one really has their mind set on. I will never be a great potter but I'm having such fun in the classes and working with many nice people. Classes are on a monthly schedule but you can enroll at any point. I take the Tuesday class from 1 PM - 4 PM but they also have an evening class. The phone number is (310) 451-5657 and the link is https://www.brentwoodart.org
