Huge and expensive pig. Still no choice.

Went there at least 7 times and had a good experience. This time was very frustrating. The shelves were empty. I brought 2 friends w/ kids with me to enjoy a moment together. Most of us haven't find what we were looking for. We took 3 mugs for the kid's so they can at least do something. They charged us $10 fee for being here + the products. When I asked for a discount because everyone was disappointed because there were no choice they refused. Even to charge $7 for the fee which is a promotion they often do. Finally a woman offer to the kids a little figurine to add on their mugs. And finally I was charged for that too. Even if it's $1 it is just more frustrating. I just feel that they took advantage of us. Very dissatisfied and unhappy. I don't want to go there anymore.

Make a reservation! It can't hurt, and it would have helped me on my Saturday date with my mentoree lil sis. We had to wait 40 min for a table to open up. It was pricey but she (12yr) loved it. Staff is friendly, helpful, and great with kids. While there are lots of kids/parents there, there are also plenty of couples, groups of friends having girltime, and a couple solo adult painters. For kids under 10yrs studio fee is $6. Older than 10yr is the adult fee of $10. Firing fee is $1/piece. For the 2 of us to each do a piece cost a total of $73.03 : Studio fee (x2): $20 Piece A: $20 Piece B: $25 Firing fee (x2): $2 Tax: $6.03 There is a parking garage across the street that is free for the first 2hrs. Also lots of meters on the street -but it's packed on a weekend.

I went here this past weekend with my sister and my cousin. I didn't really want to go but I had to take one for the team. I'm glad I went, since it was pretty fun. There were a lot of bisques to choose from, but I didn't really know what to get. Some of the things they had, I felt would just be junk. They had a few useful things, like plates, bowls, single serving tea or coffee sets, pen holders, jewelry boxes, dog treat holders, dog dishes, piggy banks, and cups. I ended up choosing a cup ($14.00). Not sure how it came out yet. We went on Saturday, and were told we could pick it up on Tuesday. Tuesday comes along, and only two of the three items were ready for pick-up. I'm thinking in my head, "Wow, what a waste of time. I have to come back here to pick up the last piece? Couldn't they have called us to let us know that our items wouldn't be ready at the stated time?" 3 stars for lack of thinking. Anyway, parking was kind of hard. There's metered parking all along the street, but you have to kind of drive around. Also, there is a 2 hour max on the meters.

Love the experience! I came here on a date with my girlfriend and it was super fun! We were able to talk and paint. It was pretty empty when we went so I felt safe. You have to wear masks the entire time. I love the ambience. You get your own workspace and unlimited supplies for your creation. There are also lots of pieces to choose from! We took about 4 hours making our pieces so if you plan to make something extravagant plan accordingly! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and super helpful and open to answering my many questions (as we were both beginners). I'm so excited to see how my piece comes out in a few days.

Made my mom a plate. Don't laugh. I'm no artist

I had a great experience here. I called prior to arriving to work on a plate for my mom for her Mother's Day gift. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I must have spent 2 hours in there, although judging from how my plate turned out you would think I made it in 15 minutes. I was told that the earliest I can pick it up was Thursday night. I went in on a Monday. I was very impressed to learn that my item was ready for pick up by noon on Wednesday. This worked out perfectly because I was planning on leaving to see my family the next day. My plate looked a bit plain so I decided to put a bee on there. I was running out of time before I had to put more money into the parking meter. The employee offered to help me paint the lines on my bee. She's the best! It looks wonderful too. Parking is $1.00/per hour. It's not bad at all for being located right in front of the business. It's a very high traffic area so if you're in a rush, you should definitely arrive early. Great place. Great service. I'll be back for future purchase.

Coasters before they are fired

Randomly chose to spend my Saturday night painting pottery. They had a great array of items to choose from and the staff was really helpful. It wasn't swamped with kids- in fact there were a lot of adults in there- so it was actually really nice. We ended up painting coasters that come with a small stand for $25. Two hour free parking in the garage BEFORE 6pm.

Wine, paint, let's do it!

It was such a fun class, and as first-timers to pottery, we felt like it was a great introduction. The instructors were helpful, and the whole process was really enjoyable. We were led upstairs, and I was surprised by the rooftop pond, and how beautiful the koi fishes were! You can also see the Hollywood sign in the distance. It was a very serene space. Filming is welcome (a plus for capturing memories!), and parking is free right out front. Just note: the lot is pretty small, so I recommend arriving early to snag a spot. Our instructor was super informative and made sure to spend time with everyone in the class, walking us through every step of the process. It was hands-on and beginner-friendly, which made it all the more enjoyable. The only downside is the wait bc our finished bowls took about 6-8 weeks to be ready after shaping them on the wheel. But honestly, it was worth it--they turned out beautifully :')

ARTime BARRO is part pottery studio, part community space, and is a relaxing, chill place where you can unleash the creativity you thought was dead, where your artistic spirit gets to come out to play, if only for just a little bit of time in this crazy world. On a recent weekend, I had the opportunity to take the One-Time Class, which is a one-hour course designed for complete beginners. You get to make two pieces, one by hand at the table and one on the pottery wheel. The class size was small (just 5 people) and we got great 1:1 instruction and guidance from our knowledgeable instructor Max. I've always wanted to try the wheel and was surprised how hard it was to use it but it was such a great experience that I think everyone should try at least once. After you sculpt your pieces, you are invited to come back to hand paint (glaze) your work at no additional cost. You can also have them do a one-color glaze for you, but after I saw all the multi-colored pieces of other folks previous to me, it was no contest to decide that I wanted to color my pieces myself. You have up to 3 months to come back to glaze so it's very doable in anyone's busy LA (corporate) lifestyle. Pricing was very reasonable for such a cool bespoke experience. There are a lot of pottery painting studios (e.g. Color Me Mine) but this is awesome bc you get to make the pottery AND color it later! I've already recommended this place to countless people!

Our instructor was friendly and gave clear directions on how to mold our pieces. We each made 2 pieces, so the one hour really flew by. We had the option to come back to glaze our pieces or have the studio glaze them for us, and opted for the latter. There's a small lot behind the building, but it was full when I went. It wasn't difficult to find free street parking on a Sunday evening in this area. The pottery pieces could use a bit of extra care in handling (my wheel-thrown piece had rough edges and a random piece stuck on that wasn't there initially, and the glazing didn't look thorough on my other piece), but overall I was happy with my pieces. This was a fun experience, and worth the value!

He collaborated with me in regards to the colors that I needed and also some different styles. He has a amazing inventory of iconic art that I would urge anyone to ask him to see for purchase. Also, upon commission like I did with him for a show any Set Decorator or designer or person that loves art would love him. This particular character was Terrence Howard, who was a hip-hop Mogul in the story so the hip-hop vibe that is very much alive in pontia work was perfect. I can't say enough about his business Art Rebel because it is from adult fun to kids but extremely unique compared to a typical art business for corporations or birthday parties as it has an edge to it and is very hip and unique in the style that they present to the customer in Art Rebel! My guests were wowed by the space and had a blast looking at all the artwork and details under the blacklights. We converted one of the rooms into a designated dance floor for swing dancing (though we ended up dancing in the main room as well!) and had activity stations that included spin art, neon playdough, and a graffiti wall to doodle and write birthday messages, which were all so fun. The speakers were integrated in every room and with the volume turned up, it was such a VIBE. There are blacklights in all rooms except one, which we used as the designated eating area with plenty of room to set up food and utilize the bar. We were a group of about 40 people (including the staff) and honestly could have crammed about twice as many people in there if we wanted! It's a lot more spacious than it looks in photos. In the end, I was more than happy with the group size since there was enough space to dance and play without feeling crowded. I couldn't recommend Art Rebel Studio enough for events, it was a total blast. Huge THANK YOU to Ponti & Team for such a memorable night!!
