We love Arkids Studio so much! My daughter has been going to classes here for over two years and she still gets so excited every time. Each week she brings home a beautiful piece of art inspired by artists from around the world. She feels so proud of her work and I love seeing how much she grows with every project. The teachers are sweet and wonderful and my daughter absolutely adores them. We also had her 6th birthday party here and it was such a great experience. The kids made slime to take home in a pencil box they decorated themselves! Everything was so well organized and easy for us as parents. I didn't have to stress about a thing and the kids were happily entertained the whole time!

Went to a birthday party here. The kids loved the 3 crafts they made. Would definitely return.

I love Color Me Mine, and this location is one of my favorites to go to! It does get really busy,…read moreso a reservation (or at least calling ahead to see if they can hold seats on the day of) is pretty much a must. The Brea location has more seating than other locations I've been to, which makes it a bit more forgiving if you try to do a walk-in. Reservations are made online and cost $5/person, which goes towards your total. From a large palette, you choose five colors. Sometimes if a friend and I want to use the same color, we'll just put it on one person's plate, which ends up giving us more color options overall! There's also a guide on each table with tips for different ceramic painting techniques. There's a cup of various styles and sizes of paintbrushes, and you can also request for a thin bottle for writing or detail-work. You get two hours to paint, but I've never felt rushed with either picking my piece or during the actual painting process. The staff here are always so attentive, courteous, and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I've noticed that when it gets super busy and you need a paint refill and someone hasn't come by, don't be afraid to raise your hand or walk over to someone, everyone is super friendly. They have a great selection of pottery, and you just pay the price of your piece plus the flat studio fee. The space is clean, and I love that they also offer outdoor seating. Since it's right in the middle of downtown Brea, it's fun to people watch and enjoy the vibe outside on a warm day. They'll occasionally have special events or deals too, like student nights with a discounted studio fee. With its central location in downtown Brea, it's such a perfect spot to catch up with friends, celebrate a birthday, or have a cute date!

It is five dollars per person to book a table either inside or outside. $15 we used to reserve the table went towards our final order. the ladies that All helped us were absolutely fantastic! They were so sweet to my daughter and very helpful about giving advice on how to paint our pieces. It is definitely a little pricey for the experience. It is $10 per child and $12 per adult for the supplies and then of course the cost of whatever you choose to paint. We ended up spending about $85 for two pieces. my daughter absolutely loved the experience and really it was very fun for our little family. I definitely recommend to give this place a shot if you're into painting and especially if you have Littles, who are very creative.

The dinosaur by the entrance was one of our favorites--my nephew loved it so much and was excited the whole time. One of the best parts was the stage and dress-up theater section. It was so engaging for the kids! They got to play, pretend, and really use their imagination. It was fun watching them interact, perform, and just be themselves. I also liked how social it was for children. Kids were playing together, sharing, and exploring as a group, which made the experience even better. It's not just fun, but also a great place for kids to build confidence and connect with others. Overall, such a fun and memorable day. Definitely a great spot for families with kids! My only concern wasn't the museum itself--it was the behavior of some parents. During our visit, we had several encounters where parents allowed their children to take toys that my kids were actively playing with. In one instance, a parent even encouraged their child to take an item my child was using instead of redirecting them or teaching them to wait their turn. That made the experience less enjoyable. The most uncomfortable part of our visit happened in the arts and crafts area. A man who was there with his family repeatedly stared at my sister, our children, and me in a way that felt unwelcome. We also observed him taking apart other children's art projects so his own children could use the materials. While my sister and I were cleaning up our table, his behavior became increasingly unsettling. At one point, a pair of scissors landed on our table where our children were sitting after he tossed them in that direction. He also walked past us several times, continued staring, and kicked a chair as he passed. I want to be clear that none of these concerns reflect the museum itself. The staff and exhibits were great, and I would still recommend the museum to families. I just hope parents remember that shared spaces work best when everyone models kindness, respect, and consideration for others so all children can have a positive experience.

Child Creativity Lab takes donated every day items (Lego pieces, empty prescription containers, bottle caps, buttons, wine corks, new popsicle sticks as well as excess items from various companies (excess fabric, plastic bottles, paint, pins, tacks, glue, zippers, etc.) and they put them together in a package so that kids can assemble them them and create a figure like a robot or animal out of all the parts. Before COVID they used to have in house workshops, but now they take the party out to the kids in city community centers, schools, etc. My friend planned a service event here so I came over to help out for a couple of hours. All the parts for the project were laid out at various stations and we went down like an assembly line and filled bags with the items to create a project-in-a-bag for each child. If I was a kid in elementary school receiving a project bag like this to put together with other classmates, I would be totally stoked. If you are interested in donating common household items for them to use, give them a call to see what they do and don't take. You can also arrange to do a service event here with your organization, they have people come in every week to help out. We need more places like this in all communities!
