Overall, we like the instructors and they have a good program. They have a well maintained facility and I like that everyone has their own art materials. Love that they give kids a portfolio and take photos that get sent you. Only downside is their makeup policy, which requires you complete the class within the same week and the same month. It's clearly stated policy when you sign up so I appreciate the honesty. But this means if you go on vacation you essentially lose a class if it's a week long trip or if you go during a week that falls in between months. I get that they are running a business and need to establish rules but I think in todays world flexibility in business is necessary esp if you have a long term relationship with clients. read more

Fibo has been a blessing to us. Our summer wouldn't have been easier without Fibo. Jasmine and her crew were generous to offer free classes during this trying time. Fibo has been a silver lining. I had to share this experience -- I signed my child up for a free craft activity session by a leading craft store. My child was not too inclined but we tried anyway. At the end of the session we could not get anywhere close to a finished product. It was a zoom webinar. In comparison, we were reminded of Fibo's structured webinar sessions. Fibo is a 'bar raiser'. We have enjoyed quality art right from the days Fibo offered all-free classes. Jasmine's creativity is out of the box. We sincerely wish Fibo and crew the best and will support in every way we can. We highly recommend Fibo. read more

Fibo Kids Art Academy - Art Schools Near Me - Brea, California

Fibo created a fun environment for our family especially during these trying times during the pandemic. We were able to enjoy art as a family, practicing with different art supplies. We learned about numerous artists and countries. The instructors were easy to follow and the staff were always eager to answer any questions you may have. I'm glad we were able to join in on the classes, even if it's only online :) read more

I took my daughter here and she loved EVERY BIT of this experience, so much so that we are interested in signing up. The teacher provided a great learning experience. My daughter said they were all so friendly and welcoming. The artist they spoke about was Michelangelo. She was fascinated to learn more about him. The director was very welcoming and pleasant as well. She answered all of my questions. Lastly, the studio was very clean and organized. I would definitely recommend this place to any family and friend. read more

I decide to purchase a session for a few reasons. 1. you aren't committed to a fixed day every week. 2. It's a lump sum but it's cheaper in the long term as well. 3. Facility is clean and I can go to any of their locations. 4. Liked how they prep your child into public speaking (tho it's a small class) 5. Class size is small and they help child..not leaving them on their own to finish which could take a long time sometimes.... There are other options in art classes but for the age of my child right now, I feel this place is best!!! read more

They offer a free trial class, and they pressure you into "registering". I emailed and called them back to let them know i will not be registering my child. The staff emailed and confirmed that the registration for my child was canceled. I just received an email about 3 missed classes and an unpaid invoice! This is a bad business practice. read more

Never easy to talk to staffs. Never answers phone calls when you have urgent questions... I did not realize my daughter would need her own IPAD for the digital art class. It might have been written somewhere on registration, but am I wrong to expect email or some kind of reminder before the class begins? My daughter wasted the whole 2 hours on her first class, and the teacher did not even care to ask her anything, ignored her the whole time!!! I could have brought her Samsung tablet at least if I had known.. I just wish they care more, and would be willing to take a small extra step for the sake of their students. read more

My daughter who is now 14 has been attending Fibo since she was 5. While she's not a huge fan of planned projects anymore at her age, Fibo definitely pushed her to focus on using different media outside of her comfort zone. She was in advanced art in 8th grade and her teacher then recommended she skip art fundamentals in 9th grade and go straight to advanced art in HS. I truly believe that her weekly classes for all these years have laid the foundation for her skills and love of art. Fibo pushed her to work outside her comfort zone. Thank you, Jasmine and team! read more

My son took a trial class there. Not impressed. The "teacher" were trying to sell my son the program instead of teaching him how to draw.

I'm so glad that a family member in CA introduced us to Fibo's online art classes. Before beginning classes, I thought it would just be something to help pass the time during quarantine, but it quickly became so much more than that. My son loved it from the very first class, and he couldn't wait for each class after that. He enjoyed learning the different topics that were incorporated with the classes like Ancient Art History and Around the World. It's neat to learn all these new facts and make art at the same time. We also did some of the classes together as a family. It gave me so much joy watching him make his art, and we made an art wall to display it all. It makes me smile every time I see it. Thank you to Jasmine and the Fibo team for the well taught classes and for being so generous with your class offerings during this uncertain time! read more

We have been taking their online classes and they are INCREDIBLE!! My kids do NOT like Zoom classes...but Fibo they count days to the next class! They have literally been the high point of the pandemic for us. The teachers are kind and encouraging, making each kid feel seen and special while keeping the courses calm and on track. The feedback they give is helpful and affirming, and you can tell they genuinely like and care about kids. My kid has learned SO much; the art they produce from these classes is simply amazing. I am SO glad we found them!! read more

My son has been taking the Fibo Art after school classes for 3 years now and received a free class so I took him to their Brea location. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, the facility was clean and organized and the tuition is affordable. I'm glad there is no contract and the studio is very flexible with a lot of options that fit our needs. My son is excited to fill his portfolio and I'm glad I can leave him in a safe and friendly environment. read more

The place is kid friendly but the staff working the office and phones aren't the most helpful.

Such a positive experience with Fibo Kids Art Academy! The staff is extremely dedicated and committed to their students and the program is structured with great consideration to meeting the needs of the children. You can tell that the children are learning and engaged and retaining knowledge and the proof is in their smiling faces. I can trust they are in good hands at Fibo Kids and I am so happy to have been referred here! Passing along the recommendation to those interested--you won't be disappointed! Well done Fibo Kids Art Academy....Well done! read more

The best! I brought my 6 year old grand-daughter in for a first lesson and she loved it! The class is structured and well organized and she came out with a beautiful painting based on a famous artist, asking me if she could return the next day !! We signed her up right away and the $39 registration fee was waived. She got a very cute FIBO Art bag with her portfolio, scented markers , two different sets of pastels and a cool FIBO shirt that she wore right away. I enjoy the fact that my grand-daughter is being exposed to a different famous artist every week. The staff is super friendly and amazing with the kids. Monique B. read more

Fibo Arts is the place to go if you have a son or daughter who loves Art.

I really enjoy this place because it is well organized, structured and child friendly. In addition I feel that the academy is affordable. I enjoy the fact that my son is being exposed to important artist and he can recreate versions of the art. The staff is super friendly and responsible. As class is dismissed they insure that each child is picked up by their parent. You get a nice art kit, a shirt and a cute bag. In additions students each have an art portfolio. My son's fine motor skills have improved and so has his ability to recreate art pieces. He is more adept at picking up key details. Unfortunately public Schools no longer provide art classes so fibo is a good investment!!! read more

FIBO art has been amazing for my daughter! She would pick this class over icecream!! Amanda at the Tustin studio has been instrumental in showing her the true passion for art, all of the instructors have a great big smile when they greet the kids!! However in looking at the FIBO website it looks like they are no longer hiring artists they are hiring ACTORS!! What!!! If I want my child to learn how to ACT I will send her to acting school!! PLEASE FIBO people stick to what your teaching our children, we want our kids to see the passion the instructors have for art!! so for this reason I have to give you low stars. I am really hoping they don't do this to our kids, I have recommended this class to so many people and I will look elsewhere, as will all of the parents I have recommended for FIBO classes. I sit on the board for my school district and feel this is a major tactical error for this company. Cynthia B. read more

I took my son to a trial class last week. My son is 5 and he is autistic. Art is not a favorite activity. The teacher was very welcoming, and I was so impressed with what my son created. The structured, guided approach to teaching art, created a calm focused classroom. The expectations were appropriate for the age level, and I can see how they work to help each child grow and build confidence in their art skills. Before the trial class was over, I enrolled my son, and when he came out with his first masterpiece, I was very confident that I had made the right decision. My son was proud of what he had accomplished. We can't wait for the next class. read more

My son came to Fibo for a free trial class and he immediately fell in love with Fibo. He told me he wanted to sign up ASAP. He even asked me if he could go 2-3 times/week. We will definitely sign up right away. read more

FIBO Art is great! The instructors are amazing with the kids and my daughter has gained great art skills!

Terrible. Using Yelp to finally write a review and it's not a good one. I'm just appalled. The "teachers" here are not concerned about our kids understanding how to REALLY draw. As someone who highly valued the arts, I'm so saddened to see teachers who are unqualified. The teachers here are not hired based on their artistic ability, but rather their ability to do exactly as the company wants. The company wants children to draw without sketch marks. How does this make sense? They're beginning students who need to prepare their drawings, to draw confident ACCURATE marks rather than creating a random mark if they want to draw realistically like Fibo wants. I wish that I didn't have to give this place such a low rating, because I wish that art studios existed in more areas. But I'm sorry, places like this ONLY solidify the idea that those who can, do - and those who can't, teach. When these students come out and don't understand how to draw to the standards of real art classes, they'll become discouraged and stop altogether. It happens time and time again. I want to believe that maybe Fibo can change and hire more qualified teachers over time, but as of now, I will not be recommending this studio to anybody. Hire artists. Not just performers. If you can't do art yourself, it makes no sense for you to teach our youth the wrong way. This is a general review for the entire company rather than just one location. read more

We signed up our children for Fibo Art at the elementary school since they were offering an after school class and our children expressed an interest. We signed up a couple of days before the first session. The day before our children's first session, an email was sent to us (which went to the junk folder) telling us that they are cancelling the class due to low enrollment (office stated about 10 participants). Needless to say, we had made arrangements to have our children picked up after the class was over and did not have arrangements to pick them up immediately after school since we did not know the class was cancelled. Since we are dealing with young elementary school children, it seems that a better choice would have been to call each family to let them know about the cancellation. The email we received from Fibo Art also stated that we could use the money we paid towards classes at their studio. We did not want to do this. We stopped in the Fibo Art Studio in Brea to get a refund and were told that they cannot give us a refund. We had to call a number listed on their flier. After calling, the gentleman was not very nice on the phone when we cancelled. Be careful if you sign your children up for a class after school. The safety of my children is paramount, but it did not seem to be a concern for Fibo ARt read more
