I had a very disappointing experience with Learning Tree. My son attended the program from last October until April of this year, and the experience was never truly what we had hoped for. At the beginning, we were invited to a group chat with teachers and staff, where responses were prompt and communication felt excellent - a major reason we chose the program. Regrettably, this responsiveness faded after a few months, with far more messages left unread or ignored than addressed. Additionally, we received no detailed academic updates about my son's progress throughout his entire time there. Teachers barely greeted you when picking up a child. Maybe this is the norm, but as a Korean mom who attended Korean hagwons (after school programs) before, in addition to being a teacher at an after-school program myself for five years in the past, this felt a bit rude and very unwelcoming. My son can have challenging behaviors, something I was transparent about from day one. I do appreciate that the staff worked with him over the months. However, after his dismissal in April, the lack of communication became especially concerning. I have followed up multiple times about the prorated refund for the unused portion of April's tuition and clarification on the refundable status of the enrollment deposit. Despite this, Grace, the program manager, has not responded since April. I gave her two months before writing this review. Additionally, when I directly asked Grace whether news of his dismissal had been shared with other parents, she assured me it had not. That said, I have since sensed uncomfortable vibes from certain parents whose children are in the same class, leading me to wonder if information was shared after all (my gut feeling tells me it has, because what are the chances? Timing is too coincidental). Regardless of the reason for dismissal, families deserve transparent billing, timely financial resolution, and basic professional courtesy. Being left in the dark after months is both surprising and disheartening. This has been a very negative, unwelcoming, and unprofessional experience. This place cannot be trusted. I would strongly advise other families to look elsewhere. read more

We were recommended to consider Learning Tree and we are so grateful that we enrolled our children to this amazing afterschool program! My 2nd and 3rd grader love the friendly environment where they are able to get help with their homework and make new friends from different schools. Learning Tree definitely prioritizes safety and really worked with us to address our children's specific needs. Learning Tree is a great place for your kids to have fun learning and develop their social skills. My two sons have been attending here for the past two years and their academic work and social skills have improved. The teachers focus on academics, team work and communication. I noticed my kids displaying good manners, communicating effectively with others, and being considerate of the feelings of others which developed their social skills. Very well ran after school care. The teachers are friendly and very patient with the kids. They work on their homework and have fun while doing it. School also offers additional art, swimming and language arts tutoring. What set them apart from others is their teachers dedications to the kids. Ms Susan calls and kept me updated with my sons homework. I have been late more than once to their generous 630 pick up time. I ran in and both teachers josh and Brad are always smiling and playing with my boy. Highly recommended for busy professionals seeking high caliber after school care. read more

I can't express enough how much I love this after school program! "Thank goodness for Learning Tree!" has become a common mantra around our house. For the working parents, they will pick-up your child from school. But what makes Learning Tree unique from other after school programs is its various extracurricular programs. For an extra fee, you can also have your child take art classes, Chinese language, taekwondo, or gymnastics. Next month, they are organizing reading clubs which I signed my daughter up for. My daughter's teachers, Mr. Sam and Mr. Bradley, really go above and beyond. I'm ashamed to admit it, but they know my daughter's school curriculum better than I do and make sure all the homework is done correctly, neatly, and thoroughly. They will prepare their students for upcoming quizzes and tests, and my daughter has done well on nearly every single one. If there's no homework to be done, then they will find other work for their students, but at the same time doing it in a way so that work doesn't feel like "work." I also can't say enough great things about the owner, Grace. Not only is she wonderful with the students, but with parents she is very approachable, personable and responds quickly to emails. My daughter LOVES it here, to the point where she's disappointed to see me whenever I arrive to pick her up! Her grades have really improved this year, and we attribute much of it to the work she does at Learning Tree. My son will be going into the first grade next year and I plan to sign him up as well. i cant say enough about this place. Both my kids go here and they absolutely love it! The staff all really care about the kids. As working parents the last thing i look forward to is doing 1st grade and kinder homework. Especially the common core crap. But thanks to the wonderful teachers here, all i have to do is pick up my kids! All of their homework is done. i dont need to worry about it. They also take my son to TKD twice a week. its such a wonderful place for working parents. read more

We love this place. Kids started over the summer and they are really having a great time. They don't realize they are even learning while having fun! Kids actually get upset because I pick them up too early. Teachers are really enthusiastic and it helps the kids be more motivated. There's an incentive for all the hard work they accomplish. I was so grateful when I found this after school program. We had just moved to Yorba Linda and my son's school did not have any room in the after care program. I'm a single mom and work full time so I was stressed about what I was going to do. I took the day off from work and started calling all around to see if there were any programs that did the pick up at school. Many turned me away and said I would have to get him there. That was obviously impossible. When I spoke to Grace she came through. My son was the first one that they picked up from Glenknoll so it was a hassle for them in the beginning until they started getting more students from there. After recently losing my job Grace also was very flexible and helpful. His teacher Mr. Josh was great and extremely patient. Everyday when I picked up my son he wanted to stay longer. That is definitely a good sign. My son was also more focused there to get his homework done. It was nice to just have the time at night with each other and not stress about getting the homework done. I don't know what I'll do next year since they don't go up to 6th grade. I highly recommend this center. Everyone has been great there. read more

We recently moved to the area and needed after school care. SO SO happy we found Learning Tree. Grace (owner) is every Type-A mom's dream. The facility is clean, warm and friendly but best of all - the people here are fantastic. My kids probably learn more here than they do at school and they definitely enjoy it more here. Grace is always trying to think of ways to add to the curriculum and push the kids to learn more. I find myself thinking that the agenda sounds too difficult and intense - but the kids come home happy. It's bizarre - but in the very best way. read more

This is the best enrichment program around. The teachers are dedicated to the students and committed to inspiring the children to excel. My kids have been here for three years. There have been days when I've tried to pick up my kids, and they didn't want to leave. My daughter has her piano lessons there. I can't say enough wonderful things about The Learning Tree. My 3rd grader's grades were slowly dropping last year, and I was at a loss at where to go. After looking into some of the local after school tutoring programs, I fell in love with the learning tree, especially after meeting Grace. Grace, the owner, has always made me feel like my kids are safe, happy, and learning there. All of the tutors there are always very helpful and kind as well. Both of my boys have enjoyed going, and have made a lot of friends too. Not to mention that my older sons grades when right back up after attending The Learning Tree. My son started going to Learning Tree After School this summer and he is just loving it! The staff is so friendly and make it so easy to leave your children with them. As a parent, I like it because it a great combo of academics and fun activities. My son not wanting to go home at the end of the day really confirms that I've made the right decision for his child care.
