The staff at Pine Tree are great! My two kids go there, my older son since 2021 and my younger one since 2022. Mrs. Amanda is the director and she is kind, enthusiastic, and always has time to listen to parents and address any questions and concerns. She offers insight into our kids whenever she sees anything. Ms. Perla is the site director and she is great as well. She gets to know the kids and are very hands-on when she is on campus. All teachers are great there. They've got my son to open up and gain so much confidence. Mr.Carlos has gray enthusiasm and commitment to teaching. Ms. Yovanna is hardworking and very animated to work with the toddlers. Ms. Poie is so sweet and generous. She pays close attention to our younger son. Ms. Julie is sweet and kind. She is very involved with the kids and always doing activities with the kids. There is always something going on. They put on 2 concerts a year that is so fun to watch. They do not offer food but they do contact with a catering company for you to order lunch if you want. They do provide 2 snacks per day. They send you pictures and communicate to you throughout the day through an app. I really appreciate everyone at Pine Tree.

Its hard to find a good Montessori around OC, so I've been telling all my friends about Pine Tree after recently dropping off my nephew. Definitely a hidden gem now with the recent updates. I wish I had a spot like this when I was a kid, just puts a grin from ear to ear on my face every time I see my nephew there. He's been enrolled for about half a year and the first time I dropped him off, the school looked pretty old and honestly was a bit chaotic. Teachers were nice, but it didn't look like management cared at all about the school. This most recent time, I was dropping off my nephew and the school looked like it had gone through a 180 magic makeover like you would see on TV or something. Rooms were warm, clean, inviting and there's actually a director to greet you when you come in, is happy to provide updates and takes time to genuinely answer any questions. So glad we have him at a good place, big weight off our shoulders.

The classroom is big and well-set.

I made this updated review to show that the school made improvement on the teachers dressing code. I also find that my previous written manner might appear to be a bit harsh. Wish the school is doing better and better, so to serve more and more children that are upcoming.

My son has been attending Pine Tree for more than 2 months now and it has been an excellent experience. Due to COVID, he was home for a year and I was worried about the transition. He has been blessed with loving teachers and the Montessori's director. Every morning, he is greeted with a smile and warm welcome. He comes home and talks about his friends, teachers and the things he learned at school. In the two months, Pine Tree has had Disney themed events, splash days, a visit by a mermaid, and a visit by a police officer where the children were able to take a look inside the police car! My son couldn't stop talking about it! Each child also has their work and play time supplies that are catered to their learning level and interest. We also just had an Open House and it was amazing!!! The theme was Harry Potter and the teachers and director did an awesome job with decorations. I can't wait for my son to make more memories here!

Since day 1 we felt welcome, heard, and most importantly informed on our daughter's progress and what she needed to work on to improve. All of the teachers here, Ms. Ridma, Ms. Harshi, and Ms Janine have worked with our daughter for a year or more. Our experience after 4 years has been amazing in every way. The attention to detail, the education, the challenging of our daughter to improve, the homework, the care and love we couldn't be any more happy! We are actually sad to leave. Our daughter has had an amazing experience, loved all her teachers and she reads as a 2nd grader at the 6 grade level due to the incredible curriculum they teach at this school. She loves going to school and looks forward to it every day. I highly recommend you enroll your child at the school to give them an edge and challenge them in the areas they need improvement. You will be happy and as grateful as our family is that you did. Ms. Harshi always creates amazing events for the students to enjoy. Our daughter also enjoyed summer school last year. Their summer school program is great! We wish we could keep her here another few more years.

It's tucked away in a little plaza and really checked off a lot of our boxes when searching for the right place for our daughter. Pros: 1) This place offered flexibility - they have various options ranging from a few days a week for 3 or 5 hours or full days (drop off and pick anytime between 7am-6pm ish) 2) The owner is very communicative - whenever I had questions (before enrolling) and throughout attending SHA, Vik was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Communication is consistent and they use the Lilio app. I got photos / updates of what my child was doing on a daily basis. Communication gets sent out immediately if a child has hand foot mouth, pink eye, etc. 3) Diversity - it was important to find a place that valued diversity, and SHA does a wonderful job celebrating diversity by inviting families to come and share about their own cultural traditions / holidays throughout the year. They also encourage family involvement in events throughout the year which I really loved. 4) Last but not least, a fun and safe learning environment - as a parent who was looking for the first preschool to enroll her daughter in, we wanted to make sure that we felt comfortable dropping off our child in a place where she felt safe and comfortable. They don't have cameras for parents to monitor their kids on, but we have always felt our child was in good hands in their care. My daughter never once complained about going to preschool -- she looked forward to going everyday! During the summer they also have a bunch of fun events like water play days, visits from magicians and 'mad scientists'. Now while there's so much to love about this preschool, especially the dedicated and compassionate teachers (who are what make the school special), it was disheartening to see a lot of the long term teachers leave this year. It was crucial for me to find a preschool that had consistent teachers, and we were very very lucky to have Ms Destany for the entire duration of the school year, but the constant turnover in staff was a bit alarming. Not sure what was going on here but it seemed like staff did not feel valued. Would've given this place 5 stars if it weren't for this.

There are 2 things really important for me, great teachers and a clean facility and this place meets both. But I will elaborate more on my experience. First of all my son was potty trained in 1 week!!! I couldn't believe it. 2nd and most of all, ms Elsie is amazing!! She is very Montessori knowledgeable and passionate about its philosophy, so you get the whole Montessori experience. I had looked at many preschools around the area and even chino hills but they were not truly Montessori. She is very kind and patient and that's how she teaches patience to the children, because she models it first. I saw with my own eyes how she resolved conflict among children and I was amazed. I had to take notes quickly! I would sometimes ask ms Elsie advise on how to handle situations and she would gladly advise me so I think I also learned alot... she was like our north star guiding us ... My son learned to write, read sight words, logical sequence, simple math, express his emotions and voice out what bothers him. He also learned to navigate group settings and follow rules. We waited 6 months to get in and only got 3 days half days, but we were happy with that because he was able to learn everything he needed for kinder, and was so ready for it he was not nervous nor cried on his first day. I see preschool mainly as a place to prepare children for big school, academically and socially and he achieved both here. My son was super attached to me and wouldn't even go out with daddy without me. But after a couple of months with ms Elsie he was saying he wanted to go to school 7 days a week. Now he tells me he misses everyone and everything about it, going there, learning, helping, the food... everything . Btw ms Veronica who is also there every day is also wonderful, she is also very kind and patient with the children. As a former Montessori student, this school stays true to the Montessori method of teaching. There are plenty of hands-on learning materials that are age appropriate from 2 years old in preschool to 7 years old in K-1. The kids are able to learn at their own pace and enjoy an environment of collaborative play and learning. Every child of mine who entered preschool had their initial episodes of tears and crying in the first few months. But the teachers at Montessori of Brea are so kind with their loving voices, gentle nudges, and guided redirection to help the children focus on their learning and forget about the separation from parents. Ms. Kim was our preschool teacher for our first 2 daughters and is currently teaching our 3 year old. Our whole family LOVES Ms. Kim! When my two older grade school kids come to pick up our baby, they ALWAYS have to come to give Ms. Kim a hug! She is caring, loving, and has great communication with parents at drop off and/or pick up. There are a total of 4 teachers for the classroom, but I'm amazed at Ms. Kim's organization and memory having to be the primary teacher of 28+ kids and knowing each child's ability. I can barely handle remembering my 3! Ms. Dana was our most recent K-1 teacher and she is just as great! Her lessons helped prepare my daughter for school outside of Montessori. Her open communication and constant use of technology helped prepare us for future apps used in grade school. Ms. Dana was very active in providing updates, even sending pictures to all the class parents of special events and personal messages for individual achievements! With the help of ALL the teachers at Montessori of Brea, our oldest daughter got into GATE (Gifted & Talented Education) and is excelling. Our second daughter is reading three grade levels above her current grade and is thriving at her new school thanks to the teachers and Montessori of Brea. I can only give my highest recommendation for this place! If you take a tour, you will observe busy children enthusiastically working with a level of focus you do not see in traditional preschools/kindergartens. The education is top quality, and the staff friendly, patient, and extremely knowledgeable in child development. Three of my children graduated from MoB, with my youngest being the most recent graduate. They were under the exceptional guidance of Ms. Tess (lead teacher and also a music scholar), Ms. Padmini, Ms. Cindy, Ms. Dana, Mr. Vargas, and Ms. Nayna. We are so grateful for their contribution to our children's development. Every one my kids graduated from MoB with high-level reading and math skills, a love for science, strong musical knowledge, a love and respect for nature and the Earth, as well as high self-confidence and independence. My oldest children, now 12 and 10, are in GATE (Gifted and Talented Education program) in the public school system, and continue to excel. I have no doubt my youngest, who recently graduated from MoB, will also qualify for the GATE program. I credit Montessori of Brea for bringing out my children's full potential--they care about the mental, physical, social, emotional, AND academic wellbeing of the child. My kids loved all the hands-on learning at Montessori of Brea, and had so much fun over the years--we go back regularly to visit Ms. Ali and all the lovely teachers and support staff, as we consider them family.
