My now 5-year-old daughter has been attending Pine Tree since she was 2, and my younger daughter, now 3.5, also started when she was 2. Before choosing Pine Tree, I toured about five different schools because I wanted to make sure we found a place where my children would not only be safe, but also happy, supported, and able to thrive. As a parent, trusting someone else to care for your little ones is a huge decision--and Pine Tree made that decision so much easier. From the moment we toured the school, Ms. Perla made us feel incredibly welcomed and at ease. She was warm, transparent, and genuinely enthusiastic about the children, the staff, and the school's approach. We could immediately tell that this wasn't just a daycare--it was a nurturing learning environment built with heart. Ms. Perla and Ms. Michelle are hands-down the best ever. Their communication with parents is consistent, thoughtful, and reassuring, and they truly go above and beyond to make each child feel seen, safe, and loved. The teachers at Pine Tree foster a strong foundation not just academically, but emotionally and socially. We've seen so much growth in our daughters--from their language and problem-solving skills to their confidence and emotional regulation. The curriculum is age-appropriate and engaging, and they do an amazing job at balancing structure with play, creativity, and exploration. They also celebrate cultural events and individual milestones, which makes every child feel special and included. The school maintains a clean, safe, and joyful environment that radiates positivity. My son attended this preschool for two years. Initially, things were great when the previous administrator was in charge, but once Ms. Amanda took over, everything started to go downhill. One of the biggest issues is the incredibly high teacher turnover. When we raised concerns about this, we were told they can't keep teachers due to low pay, which was very unsettling. My son, who is sensitive to change, had five different teachers within an eight-month period. This was far too much for a 3-year-old to handle, and it understandably affected his behavior. Instead of offering support to help him adjust, Ms. Amanda continually blamed us and labeled my son as a "problematic kid." She even told other teachers that my son might have a brain issue, which was both hurtful and completely inappropriate. After consulting with two psychologists and a pediatrician, all of them confirmed my son is perfectly normal, and they strongly recommended removing him from the school. Ms. Amanda also lied to us multiple times. She claimed that other parents were unhappy with my son attending the school, but after speaking with many of them directly, they completely denied this. She also said that teachers didn't want my son in their class, but when I talked to two of his teachers, they firmly rejected this claim. It was clear that Ms. Amanda was fabricating these stories to avoid addressing the real issues and to place blame on us instead of taking responsibility. Though there were a few wonderful teachers, like Mrs. Poei and Mrs. Yovana, the turnover rate in the 3-4 year old class and TK is alarming. Worse still, Ms. Amanda's attitude towards the children is deeply concerning. She expects complete obedience from students, likely because she struggles to manage difficult situations. Anytime a child so much as takes a toy from another, parents are required to sign a form, and this behavior is documented. This documentation was used against us when they suggested our son wasn't a good fit for the school. Also, many of the 5-star reviews for this preschool are written because parents are encouraged to leave positive reviews in exchange for a $50 discount. After leaving Pine Tree, I enrolled my son in a new school, and he is thriving. He loves his teacher, enjoys going to school, and it has become clear just how poor the experience at Pine Tree really was. If your child is active, sensitive to change, or doesn't fit a rigid mold, I would strongly advise against this school. My two kids have just graduated, having attended Pine Tree since 2020. This school is fantastic! Mrs. Amanda does a great job running the program, and our kids' teachers (but also from what I can see of the other teachers) interact with all of the kids with such love and warmth and genuine kindness. We love Pine Tree! All of the teachers are amazing and so is the admin. We had our son at another school and found it wasn't as "Montessori" as it claimed. We love this school because because they really follow Montessori ways and even incorporate a garden for learning. They send us daily pictures and updates. The staff at Pine Tree are great! My two kids go there, my older son since 2021 and my younger one since 2022. Mrs. Amanda is the director and she is kind, enthusiastic, and always has time to listen to parents and address any questions and concerns. She offers insight into our kids whenever she sees anything. Ms. Perla is the site director and she is great as well. She gets to know the kids and are very hands-on when she is on campus. All teachers are great there. They've got my son to open up and gain so much confidence. Mr.Carlos has gray enthusiasm and commitment to teaching. Ms. Yovanna is hardworking and very animated to work with the toddlers. Ms. Poie is so sweet and generous. She pays close attention to our younger son. Ms. Julie is sweet and kind. She is very involved with the kids and always doing activities with the kids. There is always something going on. They put on 2 concerts a year that is so fun to watch. They do not offer food but they do contact with a catering company for you to order lunch if you want. They do provide 2 snacks per day. Its hard to find a good Montessori around OC, so I've been telling all my friends about Pine Tree after recently dropping off my nephew. Definitely a hidden gem now with the recent updates. I wish I had a spot like this when I was a kid, just puts a grin from ear to ear on my face every time I see my nephew there. He's been enrolled for about half a year and the first time I dropped him off, the school looked pretty old and honestly was a bit chaotic. Teachers were nice, but it didn't look like management cared at all about the school. This most recent time, I was dropping off my nephew and the school looked like it had gone through a 180 magic makeover like you would see on TV or something. Rooms were warm, clean, inviting and there's actually a director to greet you when you come in, is happy to provide updates and takes time to genuinely answer any questions. My son started when he was 2 during covid and now he's 4 and lovess going to school here! All the teachers are so kind , caring and attentive ! We know he is in great hands while he's there. And now my 2 year old daughter just started and it was the easiest transition especially since she has her brother with her. Our son started at Pine Tree in September and we are in love with this school. I have seen my 2.5 year old blossom under the care of all the teachers here. The class sizes are small and your child gets the attention they deserve. The current Covid precautions and cleaning make me feel safe having my child attend. Not only do they have the Covid procedures, they use the Brightwheel app that allows you real time communication with the teachers, frequent photos of events, and updates regarding your child. I was surprised when they scheduled parent/teacher conferences, since our son was only 2.5, but it showed us the dedication and attention they have to our child's care. I almost don't want to leave a good review, as Pine Tree is a gem in the area and I don't want to share. My only real complaints are the parking lot can get pretty packed for drop off/pick up. The drive way sometimes can only fit one car in/out, but these really aren't faults of the school. The other is the sand in the play area. My son adores the sand, but he brings home half of it in his shoes and pockets. But really, for a happy child every day? I'll keep the sand. read more

My son has been attending Pine Tree for more than 2 months now and it has been an excellent experience. Due to COVID, he was home for a year and I was worried about the transition. He has been blessed with loving teachers and the Montessori's director. Every morning, he is greeted with a smile and warm welcome. He comes home and talks about his friends, teachers and the things he learned at school. In the two months, Pine Tree has had Disney themed events, splash days, a visit by a mermaid, and a visit by a police officer where the children were able to take a look inside the police car! My son couldn't stop talking about it! Each child also has their work and play time supplies that are catered to their learning level and interest. We love PineTree! Ms. Amanda is so sweet and loving with all the children. She always greets us with a smile every morning. We toured a lot of schools in the Placentia/Yorba Linda area however nothing seemed to be the right for our kids. From the moment we entered PineTree and met Ms. Amanda I knew it would be the perfect fit. This school is a hybrid of Montessori and TK/Kindergarten which is exactly what we were looking for. They have so many different programs for the kids from art class to music class. They even have a garden to get the kids involved hands on. My daughter has had a wonderful year so far with Mrs. Kelley! She had learned so much! Not just improved writing and reading skills, but practical life as well, such as folding clothes etc. She has been opening up socially as well. We enrolled our daughter at Pine Tree a little over 3 months ago and we couldn't be happier. Our daughter enjoys the activities, including Spanish, Chinese class and dance, and has also grown fond of her homework assignments. And just as important, she comes home healthy! It may sound trivial, but at her previous day care (also in the Yorba Linda / Placentia area) she would often come home with snot covering her face, messy hair, and get sick every few weeks. That hasn't been the case at Pine Tree where we believe hand washing and cleanliness for all students is very much top of mind for all of the staff. All of her teachers have been loving and caring to her and especially as one of the 'newer' kids, that makes a world of a difference. I love Pine Tree! What a hidden gem. What originally drew my interest in the school were Spanish, Chinese, and dance classes as part of the core curriculum (no extra payments or time after school) and that they provided real hot foods (rice and chicken, burritos, steamed veggies, etc). It wasn't just hot dogs, burgers, and fast food everyday. Also reasonable pricing. Now that we're here what makes me LOVE the school is that they take really great care of my daughter. She comes home super clean and probably even better than we drop her off (hair and face clean and having learned something new!). At her old daycare she'd get sick every few weeks and often had dried boogers all over her face. Not the case here. Also they give their students individual attention re curriculum. Our daughter loves school and academics so they provide her (along w other students who are interested) with "homework" which includes coloring, cutting activities, reading, etc. We came from a big school so I was originally worried about the number of activities. Nope! No worries. Just the right amount of school performances, parties, etc. With very engaged parents. Parents here have been friendly. We looke at lots of day cares in Brea Yorba Linda and Anaheim hills area. Because our first child only spoke korean at home, we wanted to find place that can help her adjust to the new environment and learn how to speak english. We liked that it was a smaller sized place where the teachers could give more attention to each students specific needs and comunicated with us directly on how she was adjusting. Teachers and aids always seem energetic and excited to meet the children at the beginning and also at the end of the day. We can surely feel that each teachers love doing what they do and truly have passion for the kids. It has only been 4 months but our little one comes home and signs songs in english and spanish. I had the great pleasure of putting my daughter in this institution for a few years. Ms. Perla, Ms. Tia, Ms. Yvette and Ms. Taylor are all very fantastic. The thing that drew my family to this Montessori is that the facilities are clean, the education is balanced and fair, and ultimately the people here are Tremendous. This place has a magical and humble feeling too it. Everything is meticulous and the updates and systems of technology they use are wonderful in our 21st century. My son started in August and since then has been LOVING it! The teachers are very interactive and know what they are doing. The Director there Ms. Perla met us on the first day and answered all our questions. Before this school, we looked at about 6-7 and this one was by far our favorite. It's clean, and well organized. We are just so grateful for the level of care and attention that our two boys have had this past year. All the teachers including staff continue to be so kind, considerate and professional. 10 stars if I can, this is a wonderful school tucked away in a very secure area in Yorba Linda. There is a lot of love provided by the staff here. My daughter had a great time in Mrs. Taylor's class as she brought in such a great academic plan. From Mrs. Taylor's educational plans and personality , my child grew from a toddler into a little girl. I really credit this school because the culture here is very peaceful, Safe, calming, mindful, humble and professional. Last year in 2019, the ownership was changed under Enchanted Castle and we really see the difference in the curriculum, the management, and the facility/classrooms. All the good things! We have found the the owner Ms. Jessica, the director Ms. Perla, and all the teachers to be extremely accommodating and genuinely interested in our son's well being and developmental advancement.
