Our oldest son attended and graduated from this school, and my family and I are so grateful for the teachers and staff here. All of our son's teachers have been so kind, dedicated, and knowledgeable. My family and I truly appreciate how there were so many events throughout the school year that included our participation as well. The teachers and staff are so dedicated to keeping the kids engaged in learning happily. They are also extremely communicative about everything, including info about curriculum, events, billing, etc. They truly take the time to listen to you and to foster your child's growth. I have had both my kids enrolled at GRM for the last few years. My son was there through Kindergarten and my daughter for PreK2. We have had a great experience and the teachers are kind and caring. What appealed to me most when looking at preschools was their flexible hours and the ability for my children to also buy a hot lunch when/if needed. They've worked with me in changing school days if I needed to and they offer full day as well as extended hours that other schools did not. The holiday performances have been great and the graduation was special for my son. He was more than adequately prepared for first grade at public school after having attended GRM through kindergarten. Overall, I do recommend this school for little ones, especially those with parents needing some flexibility with their schedule. read more

My 4 year old son has been attending for a year and my 7 year old daughter attended for summer break. My son is a bit of a wild child and I will admit I was a little worried how he would do in a structured setting. Being the stubborn child he is, his teacher worked really worked hard to keep him engaged to learn. There was a period of time when he pick and choose when he choose to learn. Granted, my son was there nearly 12 hours, so being at school all day was difficult for him. But after about half a year, I noticed a change in his engagement and he came home trying to teach me what he had learned. It took some perseverance and the teachers are patient with working with this age group. I do feel my son is kinder ready for this fall. The school offers summer activities and my daughter really enjoyed the activities. My daughter is on the spectrum and social interactions can be difficult for her. But after a couple of days she quickly made new friends. Her teacher kept me informed with how she transitioned into the program. I do appreciate the teacher working through the work books I had sent her to school to avoid any regression when the new school year starts up. I do plan to enroll my kids in again next summer break as an extended school year to keep them engaged. read more

My son was born in 2017.. he was really shy and not really sociable d/t covid and all the social restrictions.. we decided to enroll him here in towards the end of 2020.. From then on, the teachers worked with him as he was crying everyday going to school.. little by little his social skills developed and he is comfortable around other kids and people.. I also noticed that its not all play time, but he comes home with activities and a lot of new knowledge.. This school is a great stepping stone for him, as i have seen a very big and noticable change in him.. now as he graduated preschool, i feel he is for sure ready for kinder! My son and daughter have been attending Green River Montessori for the last 3 years. I am so grateful I found this school who teaches and looks after my kids like family. My kids have learned so much and really enjoy attending. They have the best summer programs for the kids to enjoy and help my children with their homework in their after school program. They won't tell you your kids are hurt until you ask them,and if you ask them what happened, they'll always say ' I don't know',or even put the blame on a three-year-old kid who obviously can't tell where she was hurt. They will give your kids school lunches without asking your permission many times, and then bill you directly. They forgot to give your child a certificate at their graduation, and made the excuse that a kid who never misses school didn't finish her class. Do you think this is a good school? Greenriver Montessori continues to amaze me in their unwavering commitment to provid the best environment for my child to grow and learn. My daughter started early this year and since then he had always looked forward to go to her school. The whole staff is genuinely caring, teachers are devoted and the community has much to offer. Green River Montessori is the only school in entire Corona city that has successfully walked the thin line of Keeping kids safe from Covid while maintaining CDC guidelines and making sure children are being educated properly through Montessori philosophy. Their school staff and each community's (class) leads & guides are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They are patient, loving, and gentle while taking care of kids at the same time good listeners for parents' goals. In just the past 7 months only, I have seen tremendous growth in my own child enrolled in Miss Mitzy's toddler community. My son is now more independent, more expressive by using words, and cognitively smart after joining this school. I believe this school has a lot of potential to grow into something bigger. read more

My extended family lives in Corona and I worked there for before I moved to Northern California. My kids, along with nieces and nephews were in this Montessori school. The convenience for drop off as we headed to the freeway and our initial discussion with Ms. Sapna made this school ideal. Though the school has 30 years of history, I am writing a review for the sake of newcomers. While there is new ownership post COVID, Sapna is still the director and she is wonderful. It was important to me to have my kids somewhere that I trust. The staff has always been loving to my family and have always been accommodating to our various schedules through the years. Mrs. Nishu was a wonderful kindergarten teacher, and my kids still want to drop by to say hello to her. Great school, nice playground, and good staffs. Recommended. read more

We have recently moved and look for new school for our kids who are 4 and almost 3 years old . We love the Montessori philosophy and we had a tour last month . We love how the school set up and everything look really clean and organize. I loved how the teachers guide the children and let them choose their own job but also setting boundaries. read more

This is the cutest and quality preschool!   My son started there when he was 2 years old and has now been there for 2 1/2 years.  The school was name Children's Montessori Center for 30 years and always has a good reputation. I heard that they currently experienced a change of ownership and Meena is retired. Best wishes for her. The teachers are so friendly, loving, caring, patient, enthusiastic, personable, welcoming, and fun.  They mix play with learning perfectly.   The atmosphere is happy and feels like home.   I have 2 older kids, so I've had experience with 4 other preschools and Green River has been my favorite.   I can only gush about how much I adore it and have absolutely no complaints. read more

It's about time that I write about my experience with Green River Montessori. I hope this review helps parents who are looking for a very safe and inclusive day care including before and after school program. My son joined Montessori when he turned 2 years old. He's now 6 and a half and he is still learning a lot. Teachers and staff are very resourceful and always make sure that my son is on his best behavior. We never had any family around when raising my son, and I would always say to my friends that Montessori helped raise my son with me. My son enjoys the activities, the lessons, and the food they serve. When my son started school in Prado View, he was very ready with all academic skills that he needed for kindergarten. They walk him to and from everyday. Communication with parents is always a priority to Green River Montessori. With the newly developed app, communication is easier too. I enrolled my spirited four year old son to the summer school with the idea that some increased structure would be helpful in getting him ready for kindergarten. Mrs.Sapna, the Director, was very welcoming and is super responsive. My son was placed in Ms. Sheetal class and I couldn't be more thrilled with his progress. I have also impressed by the Montessori method. I really like the communication platform at GM and the parents always communicate with the teachers through an Apps call Brightwheel. This app also took care of billing automatically so I do not need to keep writing check every month. The summer school was excellent and fun. There were lots of activities everyday. This dynamic teaching team is able to balance high expectations and solid support for a combined kindergarten and preschool class, and they also have a after school program. My son has blossomed beyond what I thought possible in such a short period of time. He is well prepared for kindergarten and more importantly has gained friendships and confidence in new skills and his learning approach. He loves al his teachers and looks forward to going to school every day. I am so grateful we were lucky enough to find Green River Montessori! read more

My son goes to the Green River Montessori. We looked at other options and the teachers & management are far better than other pre-schools. In particular, my son who didn't like school changed his mind while learning with Ms Himali. The preschool is run professionally by the Director, Ms Sapna, and management has many events to keep the students engaged. I feel that the culture of the school is inclusive and flexible to parental needs. I highly recommend this learning institution. read more

I highly suggest this school. My son went there for 2 years, many of our friends kids went there. Teachers took very good care of our kids. The school staff is very kind, friendly, and loving towards kids. They always welcome kids and parents with a warm smile. We really had a great time there. Switched over from another Montessori Program on the Riverside side and could not have been happier with our experience. This is a true Montessori program but also a very transparent and open school which is a breath of fresh air compared to what we have been used to. Our 3-year-old has been in the 3s and 4s program at GM for the last 4 months and she loves it. Mrs Sheetal does a wonderful job of cultivating the Montessori experience. All the teachers are supportive and passionate. As a parent who myself attended Montessori school growing up, we love seeing our daughter learning the same way, and seeing her progress and development daily. This school is home away from home to my both kids. My first born went there and we had nothing but a good experience with the school. My second born is going there now and the teachers are very friendly and he is learning a lot and we are happy with the progress he is showing. This is one of the greatest school my kid has gone to so far. This school has given my son an opportunity to grow, learn and thrive in a loving, kind and helping environment. Our family will soon be leaving CMC (recently names GM) after 5 years, 3 years for each of our kids, as our youngest prepares for kindergarten. We will miss the teachers, the children, and the Green River rd community(nice area, bad traffic). Our kids both loved learning and playing here. The teachers and staff all know children so well and knew exactly how to support and challenge our kids. There are so many reasons why I am grateful for this school and I especially appreciate how they navigated this past school year of the pandemic. Their effort, organization, and communication were wonderful. If you come to the school around 5-6pm, you will see their staff is cleaning the toy and material, every single day with no exception. Btw, Corona was too hot for us and later we moved to Napa. We will miss it here! read more

The school recently experienced a change of ownership and it used to call CMC. The school now is belonging to one of the largest preschool organizations in China call the NXY group. The new owner implements a new online system call Brightwheel to enhance the communication for parents and teachers. I am sure more improvements will come. My 5 years old attend the school 3 times a week and I have noticed his improvement during the time. The school has excellent teachers in the kindergarten classroom and the afterschool program. The office is a hub of activity at the popular drop-off and pick-up times, but still are very responsive to the needs of the families, the children, and the staff. After all the school has been in business for 30 years and has had many fine teachers enter their doors. Many still communicate with the school and attend school reunions. Also, Ms Nishu is an excellent kindergarten Montessori teacher! However, few teachers in the preschool classroom have room to improve. read more
