My 3 year old son has been coming here since October 2025, his first time in any daycare so of course the choice was hard but I immediately felt a connection with Ms. Jennifer, the center director. She was tentative, responsive & her personality is exceptional. All the teachers here treat not only my baby but all the babies like their own, which I love. If you know me, I'm not an easy person to please ;) BUT this facility & the women working here are phenomenal. My son has already learned so much in such a short period of time! My daughter has been at Norco Montessori Academy since she was just a few months old and now she's almost 4. This is not a babysitting center, it's a true Montessori school where the teachers' pay attention to every detail and generally care about each child's growth. I've watched my daughter thrive, socially, emotionally, and academically and I'm so grateful for the incredible staff who've guided her along the way. A special shout out to Ms. Raquel who has been such a godsend to my daughter, and her warm smile every morning, love and consistency means the world to us. A major kudos to the new director Jennifer for handling the transition so smoothly and bringing fresh energy. I'm excited to see how she continues to build on the strong foundation the school already has. Highly recommend any parent looking for school that truly partners with families in their child's development. One recommendation, while we recognize the value and care this school provides, the annual rate increases and added fees (for supplies, emergency kits, and registration) can feel a little steep for a preschool setting. A five star rating is truly not enough to express our great experience at Norco Montessori. From the start of our search for a daycare provider / school for our children, everything has been smooth sailing. We toured the facility and all of our questions were answered with transparency. The director provided us with their policy and rate information and we enrolled our children almost immediately. Our children were only 3 and 1 when they started at Norco Montessori, so my husband and I were very committed to finding the best care for them. Three years later, we are still confident that we made the best decision. Here are some bullet points that we find so much value in: STAFF : Every single staff member has been kind and professional. As the children age and progress, they transition to other classrooms. My daughter started in the infant room and has since transitioned to the different programs. While in the infant room, we were provided with daily updates at pick up. We witnessed our daughter's social skills evolve and noticed how much she enjoyed the teachers and friends that she made at only a year old. This gave my Mommy heart so much comfort. Through the transitions, my husband and I have grown to know the teachers. Each one has been pleasant and helpful. They are caring and motivating. They show true professionalism and remain fully engaged in our children's development. PROGRAM: Enrollment at Norco Montessori has been so beneficial. We have seen our children further their social skills while also improving their independence. Monthly lesson plans are provided in a newsletter, so we are always aware of what is being taught. Along with workbooks and regular school work, our children always come home with creative arts and/or crafts related to subject that they are learning. They have learned more than the normal basics of letters and numbers. They know the United States in alphabetical order, have been introduced to geometric solids and definitely know more history and science than we did at their age. We are beyond pleased with the impact that Norco Montessori has made on our little one's academic progress... At Norco Montessori, dance class and jiu-jitsu were also incorporated during the week. This was another highlight for our children. This also contributed to their listening skills and helped shape their ability to follow directions. Two of our favorite things are the graduation and winter performances. Twice a year, we are granted the opportunity to see the children perform in an organized and well thought out program. This entails singing and dancing performances by each classroom. These performances are such a memorable treat. FACILITY: Safety was / is always a priority. At Norco Montessori, a code is provided to enter the locked door and there are multiple cameras mounted around throughout the facility. These safety enhancements provide a sense of security and comfort for us as parents. Additionally, the classrooms are clean and spacious and the outdoor play area is a child's dream. There is a large turf area, which also includes a playground and multiple tricycles. Additionally, the outdoor section contains a separate area with smaller playground for the infant classroom (under 2). MEALS: Another benefit of Norco Montessori is the inclusion of meals with the tuition price. The monthly newsletter documents breakfast, lunch and snacks that are provided daily. Our battle was our children's refusal to try other foods (aside from chicken nuggets and mac and cheese). The staff's continuous ability to encourage our children and introduce them to other foods has helped enormously. They enjoy the healthy meals that are provided and the challenge of selective/ picky eaters is no longer a problem. Norco Montessori will always have a special place in our heart. In three years, they have helped shape our children (now 6 and 4) in such a positive way. Socially and independently, they continue to excel. Their behavioral skills are exceptional along with their manners. Academically, they have shown so much progress and growth. They have also already developed a tendency to think outside the box and problem solve on their own. These are things that were definitely learned by example from their teachers. My son just finished almost 3 years at Norco Montessori Academy. All the teachers there are amazing. Everyone helps each other. Ms. Shereen, Ms. Alma, Ms. Christi and Ms Aruni made such a big difference in my sons life. He was so sad to leave. He always came home happy and was happy to see his teachers. Starting off was so rough for myself and my son. It was new and he was away from me. In the end, he loved school. I'm so happy I chose this place to start him off. Anytime I had a concern, the teachers would listen and help me. If my son wasn't behaving, teachers would tell me. Great communication. These kids are being taught so much. Money well spent. We will miss you all As far as this negative review below, sounds to me like a parent who doesn't like being told her child doesn't behave. I find it hard to believe that Miss Christi doesn't communicate well. She is very thorough and explains herself in detail. She is assertive and her priority is the safety of the kids. I wasn't going to share this, but after speaking with many mothers, I feel it's the right thing to do so no one else goes through the same experience. If your child is entering the infant/toddler room, please read this. First, this is not a true Montessori school. Any school can use the name, and I should have been wary when I toured while pregnant--on a rainy day, all the classrooms were just watching movies. From the beginning, communication was poor. They have no cameras or apps to track a child's day, and in a year, I received only three photos. Pick-up updates were vague, ranging from "he had a good day" to "he was fussy all day." I never knew what he did all day. And they never followed the schedule that was posted for that classroom. And despite giving them a written schedule for my son's naps and feedings, they consistently ignored it. At "Back to School" night, I noticed it was written on a classroom whiteboard but still not followed. Cleanliness was a major issue. Parents weren't required to remove their shoes, even though infants crawled on the floor. My son frequently came home with dried food caked under his neck and never had his nose wiped, leading to multiple cases of pink eye. When he had a 103-degree fever, they failed to administer the Tylenol I had provided, and the staff seemed unprepared to handle the situation. Turnover was extremely high. Teachers lasted one to two weeks, creating constant inconsistency. When I asked who the head teacher was, I was told, "We all are," which explained the lack of structure. Despite being there for months, my son remained reluctant at drop-off and cried every day at pick-up. I assumed this was normal. A teacher constantly told me he was the only child fussy all day, making me feel like a failure. When I asked if he could go outside as that might help, I was initially told only walking children were allowed. Later, the director said he could go outside if he had shoes, but he was often left inside anyway. When he wasn't walking at one year, a teacher told me, "All the infants are passing him." I went home crying, doubting myself as a mother and bought many walking toys to help. Once he did start walking, things got worse. The director frequently told me he was "going after kids," but when I asked for specifics, I got vague responses such as he follows kids around. He had two biting incidents over months, and when I asked for guidance on preventing it, the director repeatedly said, "I don't know." The worst part came in his final two weeks. The daycare got new toys which I was so excited for. However, one new item was a wooden playpen. This was supposedly for infants (according to the owner, it was for safety of the non walker infants to be in there) then why was my walking son isolated in there? Every day at pick-up, I found my son alone in the playpen, isolated from the other kids, without toys, pushed into a corner. After a the third day I was confused seeing him in there. When I questioned why he was in there and how long I got inconsistent answers--"not long" or "we didn't have enough teachers." The real answer is that they didn't want to deal with him, so they locked him away. I'm writing this part with tears in my eyes, remembering what horror my son endured at that place. These teachers thought my son was a monster and did not want to do their jobs and rather put him in there. He was in there everyday for two weeks when I picked him up! I know I should have pulled him out right away looking back. On his last day, I was told he scratched another child and would be kicked out if it happened again. I realized this was a blessing in disguise and immediately withdrew him. I then asked for all evidence such as his 3 incident reports, video surveillance of his "bad" behavior and of him in the playpen, and never received any. I called the owner with my concerns, she had the same incompetent responses as the director. When I reported the daycare, the officer investigated but found no conclusive evidence since the playpen wasn't visible on camera. Convenient. After switching schools, his new teacher said, "I don't know what they did to him, but he has his guard up. Anytime someone gets near him, he tenses up." It broke my heart. I would constantly ask about his behavior and she was so reassuring that this is normal toddler behavior. Hes now thriving and they actually do lessons everyday which at norco infant/toddler, they never did. I regret ever sending my son to this place, and I know Christi will respond to this with some bs message saying "I'm glad you found a new place but our safety is our priority." My child was not a monster. He was a baby trying to learn! But never given the opportunity. Putting him in norco Montessori will haunt me for the rest of my life. The only bright spot was Miss Erin--she truly cared. But sadly, that was the only bright light in this dark place. read more

My son finished his Norco Montessori journey in Summer 2023. It was bittersweet for our entire family. This school has rooms for infants up to Kindergarten. I cannot stress how happy I was with the staff. My son started at age 2 1/2, cried at almost every drop off and of course it made me sad. He eventually got over it and slowly adjusted. He started off as part time, only three days a week. After COVID, we decided to gradually ease him into full time. He's our only child and he thrived at this school. There was a change in ownership in January 2022, and there were many improvements to the facility, remodeling to have a better environment for each classroom, a new playground, and improved lunch menu. Ms. Christi, the director is wonderful. She is very organized, professional, and keeps the parents up to date with newsletters and monthly meal menus. The hours are great for working parents 6:30am-6:00pm. My son's kindergarten teacher, Ms. Aruni worked with him based on his needs and challenged him as needed. My son left kinder being able to read, write, complete double digit math problems, gained great social skills, and many wonderful memories. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for everything we gained from this awesome school. My son was kept safe, nurtured, and he learned social skills and academics. Coming from just for kids preschool(off Ontario), I had horrible experiences there with Journey getting hit by other kids unprovoked.Coming to NMA my daughter has no complaints lol she actually gets mad when I pick her up too early. After touring few childcare centers around the Norco area, we finally found this amazing facility. When the director showed us around on our scheduled tour, we briskly decided this is gonna be our child's facility. Because, the classrooms are very clean, bright, large, newly arranged with some nice touches and has a massive playground area. Furthermore, all the staff from the center director to the teachers are really nice, caring and well aware of the each child and give us updates throughout the day. Our son has been attending day care/school at this location for over 1 year now, during which time it changed over to new management. Since the change, the school has become an absolutely wonderful environment to send our son every day. They have done some beautiful rearrangements inside and some good improvements to the Play area. We love this school. We started here about 3 years ago when my daughter was in preK in Ms. Aruni's class. My son was in the little kids class. Fast forward to today my daughter has since graduated and my son is now in Ms. Aruni's class. Ms. Aruni fosters a love of learning which I am really grateful for especially after Covid. My son comes home talking about his day, asking if he can do homework. When he started he couldn't count or differentiate letters, and in four months he can count and even count backwards. He writes his full name and other words too. He can sing his continents, days of the week, and months of the year. He loves school. Every day he gets excited to go to school. My kids were covid babies and they didn't have much interaction with other children. My daughter was at an in-home daycare but I decided to move her to Norco Montessori since my son is ready for school and wanted them both together. They have been at Norco Montessori for about 7 months now and they love it. In the beginning, they both took time to adjust and wasn't interacting much with other children. After a few months, they now have friends and whenever I pick them up or drop them off, they're either saying hi or bye to all their friends. My son has always been very shy and didn't know how to express himself, so he would have frequent tantrums. He's now able to express himself verbally and do not have tantrums. My daughter has always been independent and helpful. She's created a special bond between her and Ms. Sherese. They adore each other so much it's too cute. My son did a trial back in august and I waited this long before i put my review just to be sure that my son isn't the problem. I called before doing a tour, explained that my 3 year old is an only child, who is used to getting all the attention, never played with other kids on a regular basis, only used to seeing us (parents) and NEVER tried to be in any daycare, preschool or any other structured environement. So it is very obvious that he will have a hard time adjusting (i don't need to be a preschool teacher/owner to know that) and the person i spoke with was very welcoming and said they understand and have a lot of same cases due to pandemic. So my son did a half day free trial and i was told that he is not really participating on activities and keeps on running to the backyard on his first day. The next day, i got a call and was informed that i need to pick up my son because he woke up from a nap screaming, kicking and BITING (i know my son kicks-- which is not intentional to hurt other people but because he is frustrated and he screams but never, ever did i seen him bite whether intentional or not) so i know they exaggerated that part just so they have more reason to kick my son out. i went there and was told i can't bring my son back anymore because he is too much work, he doesn't participate in class and needs more care that they can't provide... while i do understand that he is a lot of work since it is his first time being away from his parents and to be in another environment. What i don't understand is why he was never given a chance to adjust. They gave up the SECOND day. this facility is supposed to teach/help nurture and they should know that it will take time for him to adjust. The mission of school is the complete opposite on what i/my son have experienced. The week after, i found another preschool, i was given the same feedback about him not participating and that he is a lot of work and cries a lot. But never ever bitten or hurt anyone. They were very undrrstanding and been giving me assurance that everything will be ok and i was told that it is normal and we should give him time and space to adjust and grow which this facility has failed to do.. now after a couple of mos, my son loves participating in circle time, loves to play, sing and dance, have learned to write from 1-100, a-z, spell his whole name and a lot more. The teacher even said that my son is very obedient. He has grown a lot and i guess i have this preschool to thank for kicking him out. Aruni acts as assistant director which means she collects tuition. She has no problem overcharging you, not updating your paperwork per licensing appropriately to continue overcharging you and when you find out and make them credit your account, she avoids you and then starts treating your child differently. My child is suddenlly not receiving the support and guidance from her anymore (as Aruni is also her teacher), she is suddenly in trouble everyday since the money issue and my child is losing her zest for learning and school being in Aruni's class. Just stay away. Find a place that is supportive of the parents and the child. read more

My older son started here over a year ago, and I've feel so fortunate to have found such a great, positive and nurturing school for him. My son is thriving in ms arunis class, as she is very attentive, patient, and kind. He does very well with the extra support, and I recently enrolled my younger son as well. He loves school so much and learns new things daily. I wish this school continued into elementary age as well, because my boys are doing sooo good here. My daughter asks to go to school during school breaks because she enjoys it so much! She is currently 3 and I plan to keep her at the school through kindergarten. I appreciate that my child gets outside play time multiple times a day, and does age-appropriate learning tasks that help her develop intellectually in all of the essential academic domains.
