Favorite part of the class! Such a cool feeling to make fire without any lighters, devices, etc. :)

We took the "core" survival class.... SO fun! My boyfriend and I love watching survival shows, so we thought it would be a blast to actually learn how to do the stuff they teach you in the episodes. This class was extremely informative, interactive, and a total blast. Great instructor. The class wasn't too big. It was a beautiful place. We loved everything about it! And the part we were looking forward to most was trying to make a fire, which was pretty easy with the instructors guide! This was an awesome class and I would definitely recommend.

Usually the first class is free but I did pay $30 - $40 for each trial class. My son didn't like the robotics class at all. He said the instructor was having a hard time keeping the kids engaged or on task. He also said the classroom was dirty and there were not enough parts or components so they had to get some from other rooms. As a new trial student you would think the instructor would give some background or guidance but he said there was no explanation or instruction from the instructor on what was going on. She was just helping kids that needed help or find parts for them. He knew one of the other kids in the class so he just sat next to him and observed (not sure why I had to pay for him to just sit & observe). He was supposed to take the coding class right after, but he was already done and didn't want to go back inside. We went after school on a Friday so he was already tired. Since I already paid for both trials, I rescheduled the coding class. They were very accommodating & rescheduled us a couple of times. He said this coding class was much better and the instructor was better. All the coding was done on the computer. My impression from the 3 times I walked in was it's chaotic: kids darting here and there and some parents picking up their kids. There are tables with robotics and coding plaques or instruments by the entrance and hallways, cluttered & dusty. The 2 young gals there were very nice but just sitting at their desks looking at their computer monitors amidst the chaos. They didn't ask him how the trial class went. Didn't seem organized or clean. I had high hopes with all the 5 star reviews on yelp but was not impressed. It's in a narrow and long strip mall with different businesses: a dentist and 2 - 3 other tutoring type afterschool places. Looks like a lot of local kids hang out after school. My son has gone to a dozen or so lego, coding and robotics camps over the last 2 summers and he said he prefers those classes/camps.

My son is 19 years old and on the autism spectrum. For years, we tried different approaches and instructors, and despite his interest, he struggled to learn how to read musical notes. In just a couple of months with Yolly, he learned to read music, something several others were unable to teach him over many years. Watching that breakthrough happen was nothing short of amazing. Not only is he learning, but he is thriving. In less than a year, he is already preparing for his first recital, which in itself is a huge milestone. One of the pieces he is performing is The Entertainer, a challenging song that speaks volumes about Yolly's high expectations and her confidence in his abilities. She never limits him; instead, she believes in him and gently pushes him forward. What also stands out is the attention to detail. My son now maintains perfect posture while playing, something Yolly consistently taught and reinforced. Her teaching style is structured yet compassionate, and she truly knows how to connect with her students. I was referred to Rowland Heights School of Music by another parent of a young man on the spectrum. I admit I was skeptical at first, but I decided to try it, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made for my son. If you are a parent looking for a music teacher who is patient, skilled, and genuinely invested in their students' growth, I cannot recommend Yolly and Rowland Heights School of Music highly enough. They have made a lasting impact on our lives.

Ms. Wonju and instructors are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely committed to helping each student succeed. They provided thoughtful guidance and really understood how to bring out my daughter's strengths. The program is very well structured and professional, which was especially helpful since my daughter began her portfolio preparation a bit later than most. The school created a clear plan tailored to the specific requirements of each college she was applying to, particularly for design majors, not just traditional art majors. With their support, my daughter was accepted into most of her top choice schools this year and received scholarships from every school she got into. And it truly reflects the quality of the program. I have two daughters, and based on the experience we had with my older one, I've already enrolled my younger one, who is currently a freshman. I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in pursuing a major in art or design.

My kids go to Stemtree afterschool and they do homework, enrichment such as math and English, then Stem hands on activities such as science, making light up lantern (physic), make crystals (chemistry), slime, 3d printing, build legos that move, code (robotics) and more. The stem portion is very structured and organized with different activities planned out each week. Kids will move between different modules. My kids don't particularly have strong interest in stem initially but I choose Stemtree for exposure to science and hands on activity to build creativity. Also they try to prepare kids for future and just started testing reading comprehension with Star test for their AR level monthly. My school does Star AR test quarterly, but it's nice to have it monthly here to see the progress, help them see results and also improve on test taking skills. During the last school holiday (no school) they have a Columbus theme day where kids builds boats and have a competition of see who's boat floats the best in water and kids got prizes.
