There are things about this business that aren't bad at all. The teachers were kind and friendly.They sell snacks to the kids so they don't get hungry, too. And their tutoring is very helpful. My tutoring would be the reason my math grade was a perfect 100. School-Connection has clean restrooms(a separate one for boys and another for girls) and a large tutoring area. They have pick-up services from schools for $5 a day and a summer-school program with fun field trips every Friday. The tutors even looked over homework and helped the students study for upcoming tests and quizzes. However, there are some downsides to this place. School-Connection tuition is pretty expensive though. Also, the extra packet work they gave us was a lot, especially for the older kids. I admit that this extra work has helped me in school, but sometimes I just didn't have enough time or energy to do them. Overall, I would say School-Connection is a pretty great place. I spent so much time there that it practically became my second home.

The space is very new, clean, and has many classrooms, including a dance studio, art studio, music room, and plenty of space and materials for kids to learn, do homework, or take extracurricular activities. Emily and her team of educators are very caring and attentive to each student. They help with school homework and offer a huge selection of classes and activities each day, including Chinese, English, math, dance, and art. Emily is very flexible about the times that my son attends and is incredibly accommodating about which classes he takes. They keep the classes purposefully small to ensure individualized attention and safety during COVID times, and they offer transportation from nearby schools. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality of care, education, and attention given to each student. I can't rave enough of about this place and I can't wait to see this center grow! (P.S. My son was previously in Emily's Busy Bees preschool for almost 2 years and my daughter is a current student - just another testament to the amazing quality and care of Emily, her team, and the Busy Bees program!)

Since FutureLand took over, we've noticed a lot of positive improvements around the school. The campus feels refreshed, communication with families has improved, and there seems to be a strong focus on creating a warm, organized, and engaging environment for the children. What we appreciate most is that the new ownership has respected the existing families and teachers while also bringing in new ideas and improvements. It feels like they genuinely care about building a strong school community rather than changing everything overnight. Our child enjoys coming to school, feels comfortable with the teachers, and comes home happy. We are also excited about the school's Montessori-inspired approach and the additional Mandarin and English learning opportunities. Sylvan started by doing a full assessment and then walked us through which program would best fit her needs. We began with homework help, but after seeing her results, we switched to their reading comprehension program. She now attends twice a week, and they focus on helping her understand what she reads--things like cause and effect, main ideas, and writing at a 5th‑grade level. One thing I really appreciate is that they even reached out to her school teacher to get a clearer picture of where she was academically, so everyone is working together. Since starting, my daughter has grown so much. She actually enjoys writing now and is slowly building more interest and confidence in reading. SAC so parking is fairly easy. First off, the staff here is AMAZING. Everyone is so approachable, and accommodating to my son. He likes that they have a point system to earn punches to redeem for fun prizes. My son already has his eye on getting a gift card. They also have themed spirit days during the summer like cookie day, pajama day, crazy hair day, etc. My oldest son did Kumon for a while a number of years ago. The Mathnasium system is different than Kumon as there are no worksheets that you have to bring home as additional homework. With Mathnasium there is an instructor assigned to work with a small group of students to help them understand concepts, so it feels like a semi-private tutoring session. I signed up my son, not with the goal to make him advance to high school math in 5th grade, but to help him with the basic grade level concepts that he was having trouble with. My son enjoys his sessions (which to me is already a win when a kid likes going to a math and I can see his confidence growing as he completes his mastery checks. I like that he's not stressing out about doing worksheets at home like my oldest son did with the other program. FYI, session fees for elementary school kids are less expensive than middle schoolers, so if you sign them up while they're in elementary, you can lock in the same costs even when they continue in middle school.
