Their studio was able to accommodate 10 people and they provided us with all the materials. I chose a Tangled inspired image with a silhouette of a couple on a boat and the night sky filled with floating lanterns. I would be lying if I took all the credit for my masterpiece. I asked June to help me paint the silhouettes of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask - which turned out the way I envisioned! June and Diana were very accommodating. I made sure I asked at least 2 months in advanced to schedule my paint night on a weekend. They were outgoing, energetic, and VERY patient with my party. The studio is overall a really cute space. A big plus that it's near a Starbucks and Ten Ren's. Props to the bright and cosy decor! The walls are decorated with incredible art pieces that were made by Diana and June (at least most of them were). Their regular art classes are for children and adolescents. The last time I sewed was back in fashion school 9 years ago. I was never good at sewing,…read moreimpatient, and my biggest ugh - figuring out how to even start and work the machine. I found this place on Groupon a month ago, consulted handy, dandy Yelp, and now just completed my second class yesterday. During the first class, I brought in my brand, spanking new sewing machine that was starting to collect dust. May taught the class, and one-on-one ( aka me) how to wind the thread and bobbin. When sewing, you have the needle thread on top, and the bobbin thread on bottom. I know, I know, confusing stuff... She also showed how to start, stop, and introduced features of your machine. Everyone brings their own, so get to know yours. I am proud and happy to say, I finished the first project of a drawstring bag. I dance regularly, so this will be my new shoe bag. I love that it stands out and is one-of-a-kind. Some of the events I go to range from 40, 400, or 2,000 people. It's good to have a bag that's different and stands out. Looking forward to our next class, which is choosing a pattern of our choice.

Sometimes I am amazed by how much he knows and I like to ask him where he learns it from and most of his responses are from school. Today I got to pick him up and his teacher Ms. Nancy was so nice. Because of covid, everyone was wearing masks even students. Pick up is at the front door and only students and teachers may enter the building. I'm just happy that when I picked up my nephew he was so happy and told me about his day. His response is how I know that this place is a great school.
