My kids and I had a great time painting pottery. They were so excited to come back and pick them pieces up.

In The Kiln was such an awesome experience! My family really enjoyed bonding over some relaxing painting, and loved browsing through the literal hundreds of options to personalize. I can't wait until the pieces are fired and ready for pickup so we can see how amazing everything came out. Before we left everyone was already looking for their next piece- I can't wait to return! John was great to guide us through the process and we all really appreciated his expertise and patience.

A finished "Hunny" pot at our wedding. They were everything and more!

This review is LONG OVERDUE! Linda and the whole team did everything in their power to make my wedding dream come true! My husband and I had a Hundred Acre Woods themed wedding, and 6 months before, I thought: could it be possible to paint our "Hunny pots"? I walked in expecting my vision to be too ambitious, however, the team made recommendations that took us on an incredible centerpiece creation journey. Linda ensured we ordered and tested, and experimented with our color pallet and methodology, and she hosted not just one, but two, wonderful centerpiece painting parties for me and my bridesmaids. By the time we were done, we had over 10 gorgeous bespoke centerpieces out on display on our special day, but even more, I could not be more happy to have worked with such a great team, who not only exceeded my expectations, but gave me and my loved ones a wonderful experience to cherish together! Thank you Linda and team! I'm looking forward to return back soon

We had a great experience! The staff was very helpful and kind. I went with my friends and it was really relaxing. We got to choose as many colors as we wanted and they had a wide variety of pottery to paint. The prices were pretty affordable and they did not pressure us to finish. If we needed any help they were always there. I definitely recommend!!

Private birthday party

A M A Z I N G !!! Hosted a PRIVATE PARTY here after hours for my 7 year old. Bob and Linda were incredible hosts for the event - I can't even describe how kind and attentive they were to every detail. Even our guests commented on how wonderful they were. Comments I got all evening - this is the best birthday party ever - way more fun than any other venue - how did you find this place, it's great Provided: - a large 14 foot counter for food set up - all the supplies needed for the painting party - prettiest art themed birthday 8x6 banner All I did was bring beverages, food, cake and serve wear! Was looking for somewhere to entertain my kids for an afternoon & found this place online. We booked online for a 2hr Sat session. The owner was super nice and showed us around. He gave us tips and showed my kid this special technique for painting his owl every step of the way. He's so patient & friendly. We even got a tour of their backstage area where they mix the clay, make the pieces & the kiln. We went back & got our finished product the next week & the kids ended up picking something else to work on. It's a bit pricy but Bob made it all worth it. Owner said they are only open on weekends now since Covid hit them pretty bad. Hope they'll be open more when things gets better. I know I'll end up back here all the time since my kids enjoyed this so much.

I can't speak and rave enough about how amazing my experience was today! We made reservations but overall they were not busy. They had an expansive selections of items to paint! We spent 15 min just looking and deciding. They have great holiday items, gifts, kitchen items! Not to mention that they have take home kits if you're nervous about COVID exposure - so thoughtful ! Bob was so helpful! He was informative but super patient and polite. I am already planning my next visit, bringing friends, and continuing to support this amazing business

We had a great experience!! We weren't rushed to paint, the employees were so sweet and would check on us and it was just an all around fun and relaxing environment :) I can't wait to come back with our family again :)

Such a nice welcoming! We arrived there around 8pm and they close at 9; He didn't make us feel rushed, gave us a full disclosure on the options and steps in the process. It's in a very cute and non-crowded location. I took my niece here for the first time and she had the best time. The kind man who worked there even asked us (right before they were about to close) if we'd like to see the backroom and we were like hell yh! He gave us a mini tour to the back and explained to us this different kind of clay. He gave us way more than what we expected. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back!

In the Kiln is a fun place to paint clay or other fun things. The owners are so nice and hands on, they help as much as you need.

I brought my 5 year old and 3 year old here to paint Christmas ornaments for our tree. We came in the middle of the afternoon and we were the only ones there. The staff was wonderful. As a whole, having kids this age around a ton of fragile breakable products is a terrible idea, but the staff was easy going and didn't flinch like I did every time the kids touched something. The girl assisting us was very patient and accommodating. She explained in terms the girls could understand. She brought out samples for them to be able to visualize different painting techniques. She filled the girls pallets full with every single color on the planet that they requested-and then another couple full pallets because they wanted ALL the colors. Then another pallet with paints that had sparkles in it. Mind you these kids are painting a 4 inch Christmas ornament. The girls haphazardly start slapping paint on and then realize they should have done a nicer job painting and started freaking out. The girl helping us came to the rescue and was able to wash off their paint so they could start anew. The only thing I wished was different was the facility did not call to notify us the ornaments were done. They said they normally do, but I'm assuming they were pretty busy during the Christmas season. The ornaments came out much nicer than I anticipated!! This is definitely going to become a yearly tradition for us.

Just sent off to Japan. A special order.

I walked up to the front door 3 min early to wait. They let me in a minute early unexpectedly, which was kind. My mission? To order balloons for a friend's husband's 60th birthday which is happening at another friend's house tomorrow. Rebecca helped me at the front, explaining how I choose balloons, pay for them, and then she would fill out an order form for my exact request. Latex balloons are 12 for $12. I decided I wanted the mylar ones because my friend wanted gold and silver balloons and they were shinier. I chose 1 round black one with 60 on it and silver and gold confetti design, then two gold and three silver balloons of different shapes. I'll post pictures of them when I pick them up tomorrow. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. Rebecca was kind, patient, and helpful. I also purchased the weights to hold the balloon arrangements since the party would be outside. You can choose what color ribbon so I chose matching as opposed to white. I'm thrilled Michael's has balloons now! It's super convenient. You order ahead of time in person or online (not on the phone). Additional notes on pickup day: the balloons were ready for 1p.m. pickup as requested. Very pleased with the result. Glad I bought the weights because it ended up being breezy today so they came in handy. Thank you, Michaels! It was a welcome addition to my friend's 60th birthday party (60 guests!)

This store is a little hidden gem in the corner of the San Gabriel valley…read more I needed invitations to an upcoming summer event, and something a little bit snazier and with a personal touch than what you buy at the greeting card stores, but not as ridiculously expensive. (My parents were getting remarried for their anniversary). Thanks to the Yelp reviews I drove to this small store, and was surprised by the quality and atmosphere of Periwinkle. * This place was the best of all worlds for me *: - A truly new shopping discovery, as I do not buy a lot of paper products - Hints of quality vintage material, which I am appreciating as I get older - That sense that I am getting a great deal on stuff that would normally be a LOT more expensive elsewhere. (let me translate that into shopping-speak: Prices are SALE PRICES elsewhere!!!!) - Great personal service by the staff, who were eager to help me make style and color decisions without pushing or up-selling anything my way - Bringing back that childhood joy of watching my own product come together before my eyes, done by my own hands. Like crafts shop, but at an adult, professional level - And did I mention the staff was helpful? I felt more like I was at a friend's house working on a project than at some store with a body minding the counter waiting for the clock to hit quitting time. I kid you not that I felt giddy in the store, and wanted to stay long after closing time to come up with different and new ideas of things to create and add to my parents wedding (and my own home.) When I got my final bill for my sale, I could not believe how much I had saved. It is a bit of a drive, but well worth it. Needless to say my family has been surprised by the quality of the invites, and I am very pleased with my experience. I am looking for any excuse just to go back there and work on something again.
