Air hockey table

Great location across the street from the Seattle convention center arch. Can be a little intimidating with two stories of games. Can easily spend hours here and find just about any arcade game you can think over. All machines were clean and great working order. The staff was very friendly and service was excellent. Even during peak hours, there is ample seating and can accommodate large parties. We enjoyed the appetizers of chicken strips and an order of poutine. Both were good and hit the spot for an establishment known more for the games than the food. I would've preferred thicker gravy on the poutine, however my son enjoyed the thinner style gravy.

Was there for a group party organized by others and got a free unlimited card for the night, so I cannot comment on prices. This kind of place seems to be anachronistic, games are waaaaaay better at home with a console or pc. Very noisy with outdated arcade games from a distant past. The nostalgia effect lasted like 10 minutes, after that it was kinda boring and obnoxiously loud. Not sure what kids might think about it, didn't see too many, mostly adults. Not for me.

Lots of fun games to play, awesome drinks in the bar too! Took my godson after the Sounders match and spent the rest of our night, just having fun! Awesome service from both bartenders and game rewards people. Very welcome and clean interior, very well kept up. Can't wait to come back and rack up more rewards points!

If you're a fan of arcade games, this is the place to be -- Gameworks is nestled right into the heart of Downtown Seattle, and features many levels of all the classic games. It was a great way to spend a Friday night and my only qualm is that it's closed by 10PM on Fridays and Saturdays. The game tokens are fairly affordable and you get a decent amount of gameplay for ~$30 per person. Most of the games were functional, but there were a couple either out of order or acting up! I particularly loved the Street Fighter, Skee Ball, carnival-esque games, Pac-Man, Jurassic Park, among others! There are tons to choose from and I would totally come back with a larger group since there's something for everyone!

GameWorks is back! Not much has changed and they are still ramping up but I had a blast. The areas are clean and there are a variety of games. The bar areas downstairs and upstairs have seating and is 21+. They have a variety of drinks and the beer is cold. There is also a limited food menu downstairs as well. For the arcade, the machines worked mostly great. However, some of the games are pricy and it would be great if the credits were lower. For credit options, there are a few. I understand the staff are still getting up to speed but I asked if the options by the register were the only ones available only to find out there was a special as well (which I would have purchased as I spent more for less). I will be back to check it out again soon and see changes. Overall, it's worth going to as they work out the kinks.

Heads up: due to counterfeit bills, this place will not accept anything higher than $20 bills. I also did notice that there's a small fee when paying with a card for the restaurant. Other than that, the food and drinks were great, me and my fam had an awesome time playing the games. The prizes seemed to get cooler too hehe.

Ha! So fun! Sure we spent $200 between 6 people.... But we got 3 unicorns! Blah blah blah

A huge arcade spanning across two floors with lots of different games! There's even dedicated areas for various genres such as board games and PC. A couple of areas are blocked off still, but for the most part is open including the restaurants. I am only interested in rhythm games, particularly the dance machines. For DDR, this place has DDR Supernova 2, DDR Supernova 2, and DDR Revolution X for 10 credits each round. I tried two of the machines but the pads were too insensitive. There is a PIU XX though! It's a new machine that costs 12 credits to play. Note that it is popular and can have waits to take turns with other players. As for other rhythm machines, Pop'n Music was functional. The right side of left drum for the Taiko game is not however. A game card has an upfront $2 activation fee that deposits 14 credits worth $3.50. After purchasing, I filled mine with the supercharge value of 120 credits for $22. The Wi-Fi is slow and not reliable.

They've got tons of pinball machines, but the thing I absolutely LOVED were the booths with the pinball machines built right into the tables. I've never seen that before and immediately thought it was such a cool idea. Definitely the kind of spot you stop into for a drink and then end up hanging out way longer than you planned. Overall just a really fun little bar with a lot of character. I'd absolutely come back.

They have games, an ATM to get quarters to play the games, free condoms box above the quarter ATM. And my favorite part a Photo Booth! A great bar to me has a Photo Booth, street fighter, and private booths. This has it all. Love how we can have fun playing games, taking pics, choosing a song, and having great conversations in the comfy booths. Service is helpful. One night one of the games ate our quarters up and never worked so we let the bartender know and a few minutes later he gave us our quarters back. Staff is efficient and keeps the bar clean picking up any left behind glasses quickly. The bar is quirky and fun. Private and comfy booths, and lots of clowns everywhere. Sad clowns, happy clowns, creepy clowns, and more clowns than you can count! The bathrooms are unisex with plenty of stickers to look at. Always hand soap and toilet paper available even when busy. Hard working staff! Some areas of the bar like near the bathrooms have flashy lights and makes it feel like you're at the circus. The vibe is laid back and care free. Have yet to try the food so no words on that quite yet! Always a great time at Shorty's. Literally one of my favorite bars! Highly recommend!

During the hours I was not working my five-hour shifts, I was permitted to freely roam. PAX has definitely changed since the pandemic. Tickets no longer sell out and the exhibitions are not as grand, but lines are much more reasonable. Plus with the completion of the new Summit building, the event was split between the two convention buildings instead of across multiple hotels in Downtown Seattle. Dividing the Expo Hall between Arch and Summit did cause participants inconvenience though. The Summit hosted the majority of the activities like console and tabletop freeplay, panels, and tournaments. The Annex also held a couple of sections. When not wandering around the Expo Halls, I spent the rest of the time in tabletop trying out board games. All in all, PAX is still a good opportunity for folks of shared interests to mingle, demo newly and to-be released games, and partake in trading or purchasing merchandise.

I came here just for their bowling but it looked so fun I might just come back for their other activities. For bowling they allow you to play by the game or by the hour. They also allow you to book all 12 lanes for a private event. All of the prices are on their website and they were all pretty reasonable. They also have discounts for faculty, staff, and students. We played three games with two pairs of shoe rentals and the total came out to be about $30 with a UW staff discount. Our lane malfunctioned once but one of the workers was swift in helping us resolve the problem so we could continue having our fun. The facilities were pretty clean and overall we both had a great time. Most people were students but even as a visitor I still felt welcomed. It made me feel old being in the college atmosphere around all these youngins but at the same time I felt like I looked like them and probably could've fit right in. One thing that made me feel old though: the worker at the front asked for my ID and my mind defaulted to my driver's license and the worker replied, "Oh, I meant your student ID." Ouch.

That said, there are only 9 holes and they're pretty small, so it goes by quickly. Drinks are all on tap and feature local/Washington breweries, which I really appreciated. I love supporting local! We came during their February deal and it was such a great value -- $45 for a pizza, two pint glasses to take home, two drinks, and unlimited games. Honestly, that made the experience feel totally worth it. Duffleboard was fun, though it looked a little outdated. They also had cornhole and a ping pong table, which made it feel like like there variety of things to do. Loved the vibes/ambiance (fun art and murals) and music. Overall, a fun spot for a casual hangout -- especially if you catch one of their deals!
