I had a very disappointing experience at this store. I purchased a game based on information provided by the assistant manager, but after getting home I discovered that the information I was given was incorrect. When I returned to the store and explained the situation, I requested a refund because I relied on the employee's recommendation when making my purchase. Store Manager Richard Beltran stepped in and refused to issue a refund, despite my explaining that the mistake originated with his assistant manager. Instead, he directed me to contact customer service. I spent a significant amount of time speaking with customer service, only to be told that they could not assist me and that the store manager should have known they were unable to resolve this type of issue. What frustrated me most was being sent to customer service when there was apparently nothing they could do. When I told Mr. Beltran that I wanted to record him advising me to call customer service, he responded by saying he would call the police and have me trespassed from the store. I would not recommend this location based on my experience. I understand that businesses have policies and need to make money, but customer service, accountability, and treating customers fairly should matter as well. I am not a hardcore gamer and relied on the expertise of the store staff when making my purchase. I usually purchase items here for Christmas gift cards and items. Service is always welcoming and helpful. There's a good selection of various games for game consoles. Pokémon, funko pops, apparel and accessories. Great deals available for frequent shoppers. Parking right in front they have a few 15 min parking spaces if you're a fast shopper. Right next to the habit. If you can't find front door parking there's a rear parking lot behind the theater with walkway to the plaza or other nearby lots surrounding. read more

Wonderful customer service here. I had an issue with an item I bought from the instore online catalog never being shipped. Abby was so helpful and called in to customer service for me and was able to get everything sorted out and a tracking number by the end of the day. Ricardo also went above and beyond for me helping out when another store turned me away with an attitude. I'm in here every week seeing what's new and happy to spend my money here. Hands down the worst GameStop I've ever been to. For some context: We excitedly came here on release for the newest Pokemon set Phantasmal Flames. The staff were rude, condescending, and carried a noticeable superiority complex. They aggressively pushed the Pro membership and even questioned customers decision with disrespectful comments. I still can't believe management allows employees to speak to customers that way. Some of the snarky comments I overheard when some customers declined the membership was: "Everybody says that, but I'll see you next week," and, "That's not a smart decision, but okay." They also said things like, "You waited an hour in line and you're still turning down the Pro membership?", "Okaaaay then.". It's honestly disgusting that they think talking to customers like that is okay. I get that release days are busy and they want to push memberships, but the attitude and behavior they show while doing it is completely unprofessional. Literally everyone who works at any store in the Riverside Plaza has a nasty attitude. This was my first time visiting the plaza and I only had interest in visiting Miniso, Tilly's, the theater, and Game Stop. Anyways, my boyfriend and I were interested in getting a PS5. The store was about to close but we still had 20 minutes left and we knew exactly what we were getting. Anyways, I grabbed three horror movie plushies since they were advertised RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE PLUSHIES, that if you bought one-- the 2nd one would be 50% off. This took us like, 5 minutes. Mind you, We had 15 minutes left until closing. We get to the register and this white girl (didn't get her name) said for the discount was only if we have a phone number with them. We didn't. We were going to pay full price but she explained since we didn't-- they came out to $28 extra. This was on top of the original prices for the plushies all together. We said we didn't want them and didn't bother to argue. We were going to get the ps5 but she didn't want to sell it to us either since "it was too close to closing time and it was a lot of work." bruh. we didn't say anything else but just walked out while she spoke. i am not going to say each worker was bad but she was lousy as hell. wish i would've caught her name. read more

Never coming back to this store. I came to pick up some Pokémon cards from the new Phantasmal Flames release, and the guy running it was rude. The workers at the register were rude too, and even the manager made comments whenever someone said no to the Pro Membership. The guys at the register were just as bad. They act like it's a problem if you don't want the membership and make rude comments when you decline, which makes the whole interaction uncomfortable. I shouldn't be bullied into a membership. Watching how they treated the customers ahead of me who said no made me feel uncomfortable just waiting for my number to be called. I wanted to leave within seconds of being let in there, and only stayed because I had waited in line for a while and Pokémon cards sell out fast. I will never come back to this store. Ben is bad vibes. Selectively polite to some folks and flat-out rude to most. Don't know what his problem is but he is very bold and border-line bullies customers to try to sell them stuff or acts like any question you ask him is the stupidest question ever. I try to disarm people like him with kindness, but it's like talking to a wall with a superiority complex. I've come here several times and dread any time he's there, which is almost every time. Luckily, most of what I had to do yesterday was a trade-in with another employee named Jose, who was actually very helpful and nice, but I wanted to make a purchase with my trade-in credit after I got out of line to decide what I wanted and Ben did the transaction. He asked if I wanted to buy a warranty for a controller and I said no and he said with a cocky tone, "okay, see ya in a couple months when you want to trade it in for stick drift." Mocking my decision to my face as if the product I'm buying is going to break right away--ew bro, get out of here with that. This is what quota-based service results in. I just clicked my tongue and gave him a disapproving smile. Got out of there soon as possible after and never going back there again. During my trade-in I wanted to trade in some switch joy-cons I wasn't using for a while but they weren't charged and Jose was trying to see a solution and asked Ben for assistance who said, clearly bothered, "Did you bring your switch? If there's no way to test them, we have to enter them as defective." If that's GameStop's policy they lost another customer if they give someone the leeway to act like a jerk to customers. Sucks that there's no way to report employees like this to the company. Locations get avoided for employees like Ben. I sure am avoiding this place at all costs now, which might be what Ben wants, but I don't think that's how GameStop would feel... read more

Customer service is good but this towards the company as a whole. Star Wars Topps Galaxy just came out recently, and GameStop is selling at market value as opposed to retail value. Why are you selling it at such an inflated price? I have asked store associates about seeing cards being priced so high, and they said GameStop will go for market prices after something has been out for a year or more. Galaxy isn't even a month old at they're already selling it almost $100 over retail price. read more

After a bad experience at my usual Canyon Springs Gamestop with refusal of service, I headed on over to this location and was provided amazing customer service by Nathan and Nico! They were very friendly and helpful and had no problem looking into a trade-in value promotion that I saw on their company website that was for today only 1/26/26. They were a little surprised at the excellent promotional value offered, but did confirm that the offer also showed up in their system. They indicated that they would have to make a phone call to a higher up to confirm, but I didn't mind because at least they were making an effort to look into the matter, unlike other Gamestops I could mention. After getting confirmation, they happily provided the trade-in value quoted on both the website and in their system. I left a very happy customer and am very thankful to Nathan and Nico for such wonderful assistance! I will have to come to this location more often. read more

This has always been my go too GameStop solely for the fact it's the closest to my house and growing up we'd always check out the GameStop. Over time not exactly sure what went wrong buts is fairly obvious with the amount of price gauging that happens in this store or at GameStop in general? It's weird to see consumers just eat it up though. I've made a few hefty purchases and the staff is normal for the most part until they're trying a little too hard to either push their upsale or warranties. For Christmas I bought my friend a video game here and I bought myself a game too alongside the rewards membership and honestly, the value isn't all that there and not usually worth it. Not to mention I bought two alleged brand new games but they were missing all manuals and included posters. (They came with the manual so it's not like they were in short supply) and when I came to ask about it. They simply shrugged it off and said ask Sony.. I tried reaching support and I've been left unanswered since December 15th. Honestly just not even worth the hassle, in my experience targets been the better option. Looking forward to canceling my account. So all I can say is when looking for games or consoles, there's better alternatives than GameStop. read more

I went here on May 17 after going on a hike at Mt Rudiboux and eating at the nearby Habit burger place. This had been the first time I'd gone to a GameStop in a while. The service was decent. The worker up front was helpful and kind, especially when I felt a bit clumsy when asked if I had a membership. As for what I bought, it was two pre-owned PS3 games for a total of 15 bucks, which was a good deal. Unfortunately, one of the games was buggy and didn't work halfway through, but that's the price of buying pre-owned. Overall, I was glad to have stopped by here. Had a bad phone experience with a manager named Patric was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was given a corporate number that was not a working number so I called back and asked if he could give me another number he said nothing he could do for me and that I refused to understand that. I asked him if I could leave my number so the store manager could call me , " you don't understand no one can do anything for you " is what I was told and he proceeded to hang on me I of course was livid !!! This use to be my go to store nothing out the ordinary just good ol game stop but I had a experience there with one of their employees that really shifted my way of viewing the store. On top of having me wait 3mins with no one in line just to help since he was busy looking at game cases and instead of helping me fix a issue I had happen their prior to that visit the employe (blond guy five below looking justin b with jewelry) just wanted me out the store with a refund. I used to come to this Gamestop all the time when I was growing up. I stopped going by the time I was 16 or 17 and was buying games online for about 10 years before I decided to come back to Gamestop for old times' sake. Now I go frequently for preorders of games or just browsing all the collectibles and merchandise they sell now that they didn't have when I was a kid. It's a smaller location than other Gamestop stores, but it has a nostalgic quality for me. I'm a Pro Member and I appreciate all the coupons and the improvements to their trade-in values they've made over the years. I've had good experiences with the employees here too as they are always nice and helpful. read more

I tried buying my Pro membership online for $20. I didn't end up getting it even though I had been charged for it and it came out as a charge on my bank statement. I complained to Customer Service and they gave me points to spend it here. The guy in the store Jorge was telling me that I couldn't spend it on a Pro membership. Received a phone call tonight from the nicest person named Mel. He was calling to let me know my deposit on some game reservations I had made would be expiring meaning I would lose the money. He said he could move it over on to another game and I wouldn't lose the money. What amazing customer service and care for the customers. This is my favorite Game Stop location (355 Riverside Plaza Drive). Front door entrance hospitality, prompt service, friendly and professional staff. The Establishment is organized and clean. Variety of game selection. Games and items that my grandson's come to GameStop to purchase are usually there and if not the staff always calls a near store for pick up for inquired orders. Helpful with game age-appropriate purchases. The atmosphere is great at GameStop from beginning to end. There is always enough parking space. So I am super late on this review, but better late then never! I want to say about two-three weeks ago I purchased a used PlayStation 4 at one of Game Stops Redlands locations (Citrus Plaza). Well the next day after mulling over my decision I decided I made an impulse buy and I should return the system, I have my Xbox One with two new games, I didn't need the extra system at that moment. So I returned to the same store early in the morning when they first opened and was informed that unfortunately at that time they did not have the bank to make the return transaction because the return would have to be made in cash. Basically what they were telling me was I'm sorry but we don't have enough cash in my register to give you the return amount. I smiled and said, "That's no problem, I understand. Can I come back later maybe?" (I have worked retail before and I'm a server now so I have defiantly been in situations were I couldn't get into my register or didn't have enough change and at freak moments there is no manager to help me correct the situation) So I wasn't about to get upset over something so minor. I was told to return around 3 and she should have enough for the return. I returned around 3 and again was told the same thing, again I smiled and told her, "No problem, I can go to another game stop correct?". The woman helping had already told me I could go to another store that morning I just wanted to confirm. The next store was only a couple exists down the freeway so it was no big deal to go there. Unfortunately for them their system had just went down and they were scrambling to get it back up when I walked in. The two gentlemen speaking to me were super friendly, but even they told me, "Even if the system was up we don't have the cash to make the return either, but you can go to the Citrus location they do more sales then us". I laughed and told them they were the ones that sent me here. We laughed about that and I wished them luck with there system and set out to find another store. This time I was a bit smarter, I called the next three locations. The first was the San Bernadino location in the mall. Again I was told they didn't have the bank for the return ($250 dollar cash return). The second location in Colton told me the same thing. Finally, the Riverside location at the plaza told me they would be happy to make the return. The man on the phone, who I'm sorry I didn't catch his name but I'm sure will remember this story, took this call one step further by collecting all the information I have written above and told me that all the locations I visited previously and called could absolutely do the return and were just refusing to. He told me that I could walk in to any of them and demand that I make the return. I laughed and just asked if it would be ok if I came to them because I just really didn't want to deal with the negative conflict, he said absolutely. So I made the trip out there, not too far only a 25 minute drive from where I was at, and I was greeted by a very friendly woman who was also angry on my behalf for what the other locations told me. All said and done making the trips and calls were a pain yes but not a horrible ordeal or anything, I was more amused than anything, but if this happened to someone else I imagine that the situation for the other staff members of the other locations would have been worse. I really appreciated this locations honesty and helpfulness. They showed excellent customer service and caring by taking care of me. Thank you guys and I'm so sorry I never caught your names! But there is no way they could forget this story lol. Whoever was working the day Crash Bandicoot did its midnight release were the two staff members who helped me! read more

This place is a normal Gamestop. Organized, not smelly, nice location... So why the low rating? Well, I don't like being lied to. As a PowerUps reward member, I know that I have to input my phone number at some point in the transaction. Since that didn't happen, I asked why the purchase would be excluded from my transaction history since my number was never asked for. Then it begins... Lie #1 - "I got your number earlier." No you didn't. I'd remember giving my phone number during a transaction that took a few minutes. Lie #2 - "It's on there. It counted towards your account". Nope. Checking the receipt showed that no discount was applied and no membership number was indicated. Then I give my phone number... Lie #3 - "Your membership is expired, that's why it didn't apply.". Try again, buddy. He then confirms my name & address and asks for my phone number again. Lie #4 - "Oh, I see what happened. I put in your phone number as *switches positions of last 2 numbers*." Really? That's funny since you were able to give me my name & address w/the wrong phone number. Not likely, unless you can read minds. Honestly, the issue was really so minor, but the guy had to lie several times about what happened just to... to what? Heck, if he said that he just forgot to ask, I would've taken that no problem. I only got a $2 discount using my membership anyways, so no biggie there, but I do like to accumulate points for their catalog. However, to lie to me and assume that I don't know how to read a receipt is unacceptable. read more

This Gamestop is probably one of the most helpful in the area. Most of the staff is pretty knowledgable on all systems and games. They will let you know what they think is cool or not, or if it is worth it to purchase it. The staff is super nice, they got a lot of regulars who are loyal to the store. They have a really large selection of new and used games. You can find a lot of hard to find titles at this store. I never liked the stickers on the game cases either, but hey, if that is how the company wants to do it, so be it. There are new games sold at Gamestop, like factory sealed. I mean think about it. So you get a huge shipment of this one game. The game company doesn't give you display cases for the game. So what they do is that they take a select 1-3 games out of that shipment, gut them out, put the new CD in a special labeled place, and use those as display cases. They sell the factory sealed copies out first, and then they sell the still new CD and use the display case to put the CD back in. I used to work at Gamestop...so that's how the system works. read more

This Gamestop is conveniently located near the movie theater here. I'm not sure why but the majority of Gamestop venues seem to like placing sales stickers on the inside of their used game sleeves, essentially damaging the case sleeve itself if you attempt to remove it (or if it's old). However, despite that you can sometimes find some hard to find games that couldn't at other Gamestops. My biggest gripe I have is the fact there are no "NEW" games sold at Gamestop, just opened ones that they sell as "NEW". Purchasing from a game from here will be used no matter how much they sugar coat it. read more

Customer service at this store is the pits. My son went and bought a game card. He got home and proceeded to rub off the sticker for the PIN, and the pin rubbed off. He took the card back to the store and they said that he rubbed too hard and that it was his fault and nothing they could do. They could only help him if he had the PIN. They sent him on his way. I, then, went to the store and they tried to tell me the same story. I was given a corporate number and the number for Sony. I called both and same story. Nobody can do anything. read more

My husband and I walked in , mind you we're both African American, and nothing was said to us even though "Mel" walked right by us. A white man walks in seconds after us and he is immediately welcomed by both employees working, a man named Mel and a young blonde female. A few minutes after another white male walks in and again he is immediately greeted by BOTH employees. Not a single word was said to either of us during our visit here. I find it very rude and unfortunate that we weren't offered the same treatment as the other men in this store simply because of our ethnicity. Will not return here again. read more
