I never make reviews but the time I went to this store made me very irritated, the process for returning or getting a controller is very difficult, I ordered a controller online from GameStop and only had trouble since, package was never delivered to my house so I had to go to fed ex myself to get it, than when I got it, was not working with the bumper, so I went to exchange it and only got a controller back while paying 10 additional dollars for it. Mind you my device had all the paddles and extra thumb sticks and now I got just the controller and now need to get paddles again very frustrating and unfortunate. NEVER GOING AGAIN read more

I was just in the store to trade in towards my Nintendo Switch 2 and I was met with a condescending comment. "Oh another trade in." And an associate telling someone on the phone that they have to bring their trades in tomorrow. I worked for EB Games and Gamestop back in the day. Those comments would never be acceptable as they are bad for business and their used games/console business. I and three other people walked out. They sold me a gamestop switch 2 grip when i asked them for the nintendo branded version. Garrett lied and then used the store policy to say im stuck with my mistake.. but he lied and hide info that the grip I was looking for was actually out of stock. He made zero effort to correct the mistake. And he likes to like my reviews as if i care but all it tells me is that he has nothing better to do than harass people who arent coming back to his place of work. Hes taking the time out of his offtime to beef with customers online and thats weird that he still playing dk bananza. I've used came to stop for years. Lately the company has gone downhill in my opinion. Stuff like expansion cards for consoles are hardly ever in stock. As far as aftermarket console controllers they're almost never in stock. I went to trade in my Nintendo switch first generation and they offered me 50 bucks bookmans music and entertainment offered me a hundred. They are obviously underpaying for equipment that they're going to overcharge for once it goes on their shelf. That to me just shows greed. I'm not a big consumer or expect much, but when I'm treated like dirt at a business I'm going out of my way to leave a bad review. Waited for them to open and unlock the doors to get a copy of a new release, employee did not open the doors or welcome us, not even a smile. I've come here when it's crowded and the line takes forever and the employee is clearly annoyed/over it. I've come here and been ignored - not even greeted when I walked in the door. I've come here and had the employee working spend more time chatting with friends or regulars then trying to help me make a purchase. I usually don't really care since I'll know what I'm looking for anyways, but it can be off putting. However, this latest visit was totally the opposite. I was promptly greeted and asked if I needed help with anything or was looking for something specific. I mentioned title I was looking for, the employee quickly looked it up, quoted me the price for a used copy, and pulled it out of the cabinet behind him. I paid and off I went. It was an easy transaction and a pleasant one. Overall, you'll never know what you are going to get here. But do some research and don't be afraid to stop in if they have the best price. read more

My experience at any gamestop is never really pleasant but this was by far the worst. We were in the parking lot of walmart ready to go in and get a ps4 gc. We decided to go a bit out of out way and give our money to a smaller business and we made our way over to the tatum gamestop location. They were under staffed and the guys was super overwhelmed. He was doing a refund on 1 register and the other he was doing something else which made is not available to use. After about waiting patiently for about 20 min or so he tells us he can't ring us up. One of the dudes working there had the balls to enforce social distancing while his mask wasn't fully covering his face, his nose with all the boogers in the world was exposed and they were taking forever to get people out. Well I can see there has been no reviews for this locale in awhile.....so let me just say things have improved.I really like the customer service I receive each time I visit.....not to mention they are always trying to make sure you get a pretty good deal. They don't do any real "hard" selling and I appreciate that.....however they do try to get you to take the store credit rather than cash. Personally I don't mind taking the store credit because you can get some pretty good deals when you do. This is a great store. I'm new to the video game world and they are extremely helpful. They even sent me to another store to buy a particular cord when their power paks were more expensive. Their reward program is also worth it and you can track the games you own and even set a up a wish list. The kids are having a blast here! read more

I should start by saying I'm not a big gamer...I'm pretty much a gaming novice. I called about a certain game I was interested in buying and they were very friendly and helpful over the phone. I was pleased to discover Game Stop was by far the cheapest place to find the game I wanted. Later when I came in to pick up said game, they answered all my questions and helped me find a few more games I might be interested in but they weren't pushy at all. I appreciated being spared the hard sell. A few hours later called because I was having a small issue with a game and they were very patient and helped me figure out the issue, which was completely my fault. I felt bad for wasting their time, but they made a great impression by how far they'd go to help a customer. I will definitely come back here for all my gaming needs. read more

This Gamestop is not bad. The people who work there are nice and helpful but can be creepy at times. I'm not sure if they are bored or whatever but there have been several times were they have had weird conversations right in front of my games. I am a total non-gamer and came in with my kiddo who was looking for new and used games to check out. The customer service is FANTASTIC here. And more specifically, Sarah is AMAZING. So much so, in fact, that when it comes time to buy a new gaming system this Fall, this Game Stop will be the only shop getting our business. Who am I kidding? They'll be the only shop getting my gaming business for everything! They offer great advice on what games to get and which to skip, they patiently answer 10,000 parent and kid questions, and they're super friendly throughout the entire interaction. The clown at the register insisted on doing all the updates and installing a game before they'd let me finish the trade. The system works great. No clue about customer service. I used to really like going to GameStop, but that has changed! My husband went to buy a new controller and the guy at the counter told him about some coupons he could purchase toward a new controller. He bought them and when he went to check out, they could only be used for a pre-owned controller. He bought the controller and the employee said, "you can bring it back within 30 days if there's an issue and you can get a new one." Forward a few weeks and...imagine this...the controller started to not work. I brought it back to this store and asked the guy if I could just purchase a new controller. He told me, "you are past the 7 day return and now you are in a defective stage and have to get a pre-owned one." Ok, I did. Got home and the adapter for the headset won't plug in...and has caused issues with our other controllers. I brought it back the next day and again asked if I could just get a new one and to pay the difference.... Wrong question...holy attitude batman!!! "It's no wonder this broke, the Xbox is a junk console as well as all the things for it." Ok, I see you are a Playstation guy... "I'm going to get sick of you, so I'm just going to get you a new one." Alright, thanks.... As he was ringing up my purchase, "just to let you know, I'm going against my stores policy to appease you guys." Well, Chris....thank you for doing your job, I guess. Isn't that what customer service is about?! Making the customer happy?? If I am still paying the full price of a new controller...AND you have another junk pre-owned one to pawn off to some other lucky customer...what's the difference?! My mom came in hoping to buy a new Xbox One Slim and the Minecraft addition it came with. She was almost ready to buy until one staff member decided her questions were stupid. She was curious about the storage ability and the difference between the Xbox One slim and the Xbox One original. The employee, who was a rather older gentleman with spiked hair, name unknown, (not introducing yourself to customers is a little unprofessional, but that's personal nitpicking, not anything super annoying), told her that buying a new Xbox One is stupid and that a refurbished one is just as good, and that being interested in the slim is as equally stupid. My mother was interested in buying this as a gift for one of our family members so buying a new one was more of a gift qualification than any real issue. But, come on, she came in there ready to buy a brand new one and the employee decided that this was most dumb thing he'd ever heard of. Before she left very displeased with her provided service, he told her that the new gaming system coming out next year would make her purchase obsolete and that buying anything she described was a waste of time. We have actually been long time customers of GameStop, and normally the employees are very nice. However, after this we plan to take our business elsewhere. read more
