I had never heard of Gamers Guild until my son came here for a birthday party. Such a cool place! The private game rooms were perfect for a teenager's birthday party - and really reasonably priced too. Great selection of games and items to purchase, and I love that you can order food to eat while you play! What I love the most is how Gamers Guild has truly managed to create a "third space" for the community and allows you to come in, hang out, and play games without a requirement to pay anything. I also love the inclusive environment. They are truly a gift to the community and I wish we had more places like Gamers Guild. I'm so happy to support this local business! read more

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. I'm currently recovering from surgery and my sister was kind enough to take me out to try something new. The space is HUGE!! There are soooo many tables to play games at and it's free to play and bring your games. There's tall tables as well if you'd like to stand and play - I saw many people play beyblade! There's no time limit as long as you follow their code of conduct. There's a huge free game library where you can borrow games to play with your friends! Free water, plenty of restrooms, lots of ADA seating and an ADA bathroom, all gender bathrooms, approved autistic friendly center, free ear buds and headphones to borrow if you're overstimulated, and so much more. There is a huge selection of board games. Everything and anything from expansion packs I've never seen to a whole area of art supplies to make props for games. The pricing of all the board games are fair and to be expected - nothing was overpriced or increased! The best part is the food. You can scan the QR and buy food and it'll be brought right to your table! It's quick, fresh, and delicious. They have side tables that are perfect to hold food and underneath it is a shelf to keep your belongings. They also have gaming mats already on the table for you to use or you're more than welcome to bring your own gear! If you want drinks you can go to the other side where Forks and Board is. It's a full kitchen and bar area with delicious food and yummy gelato and drinks. This place is still new and has only been open for 6 weeks so they're still building their drink menu but you can ask for almost anything! I will absolutely be coming back to this place. We had so much fun here! This place is awesome, you can leave your ID with them and they have a wide variety of games you can play and they also have more than you can imagine for purchase. We can on a Friday night and there was plenty of tables available. Super cute date night idea if you want a unique place to play board games at. They also have a restaurant / bar attached so you can order food and drinks while you play. The staff was friendly and it wasn't super Crowded. read more

I love that they have so many board games, Legos and many more things to choose from. You can order food right there and the service is wonderful. The prices are very reasonable. It smells like McDonalds water in here. The Magic Card system they have for singles or trade ins is very slow service. They are nothing compared to other stores with a glass case. Dont come here for MTG singles only sealed products. Some of their sealed product is limited so you dont get much of a choice here. The environment is welcoming and open and thats the main reason why we come. The service people and hosts are very friendly here. read more

I walked into the store originally out of curiosity and now I go there almost every week to look around and shop. Great selection of family games, trading card games and puzzles as well. The environment is fun to be around. Prices are great, especially for the quality of product and customer service you get. I really enjoy gamers guild and would recommend it to anyone to visit, even if you're just into casual family games. The first game I purchased was Splendor and that's what got me back into card games after getting bored of the traditional family games like uno, monopoly etc. The staff helped me pick out which kind of games I'm most interested and pointed me to Splendor which was the perfect recommendation. Another cool feature about Gamers Guild is they have a game library. It's a perfect date night or entertainment option. You can pick a few games from the library and play them so you can decide what types of games your family enjoys playing the most. 11/10 would recommend Gamers Guild- even to the "non gamer" types like myself. read more

Absolutely love this place! I come every Thursday for board game night and always order the appetizer sampler from forks & boards. I've tried the fried shrimp, fries, onion rings, and chicken and it's all good and they bring it right to your gaming table. I also like the gelato, banana fosters flavor is my favorite. My family and I love coming to this place. We often get the GF chicken tenders and chicken tacos. The food was delicious. When we ordered our meal we asked for waters and it came with plastic cups. We paid for our food and it automatically tipped 20% once we closed the tabs. We stacked our plates and gathered the cups together to make the clean up easier for the staff. On our way out, a bald staff member yelled at us to come back to our table and throw away the plastic cups. I did not appreciate the tone he used as if we did something wrong, especially when we did not leave the table a mess. There was also no signs anywhere that suggest we had to throw away our own plastic cups. read more

How did we not know about this place sooner? It's incredible! Such a cool "third space". Safe, inclusive, fun environment. Gaming tables abound with no fee to use. Massive selection of games...board, cards, RPGs, and more. Some hobby supplies and miniatures. Free game library to borrow and play there. Awesome way to try out a game, with no pressure to purchase! Loads of events daily and a membership option for those who may frequent more often. The restaurant looks great. They have movie and meal nights with some great titles included. Worst service by Mike at the Phx store who said he was the manager. Cussed out veterans over a soda and offered no customer service. Was rude to customers and US ARMY vets. Got offended and verbally abused customers in front of many other patrons. Mike got mad at the customer and would not shake hands and also insulted and retaliated on customers as he felt insulted. Pretty awesome setup and space, and very cool to see this open up. Really would love the crew here to carry more Games Workshop / Other Miniature products in store though, I can almost never find a kit I want to buy as it seems they have thirty of one thing and never any of the cooler stuff and it's always at their warehouse (honestly a problem in Tempe as well). Look to Old World Games for that as somehow as a smaller store they manage to keep a better product line and inventory in stock constantly for miniature wargames and Magic the gathering. Looking forward to them completing the build out as well as the store is vast and barren missing a lot of the cooler stuff things (display cases, artwork, etc) that make coming to a space like this special! That being said they have an excellent selection of paints, a decent selection of basing / modeling supplies, and lots of fringe board games which is fun, and a literal ton of tables to game on. The food from my experience was excellent all things considered and surprised me with quality and presentation! I hope they keep the same quality and cleanliness as things progress! Ultimately Gamers Guild is in a weird spot where they seem to be moving from literally the greatest game store in the valley into more of a meeting place (which is rad), but when I come to game I usually also want to make purchases as well and tough to do that when they have such a limited selection of actual products to buy. Love this space. My husband wanted to introduce me to tcg and we found lorcana. We now go regularly on Sundays and Mondays for shift leader and local constructive tournaments and other events that they hold for lorcana. My favorite people to see are jordan at the events counter, who is always friendly and helpful and rose at the retail counter, she always pulls the best packs for me! The atmosphere that these two employees bring are what keep us coming back. Keep up the great work! The only reason I gave a 4 star and not a 5 is because they do not have baby changing tables and high chairs, which we bring our kids with us regularly, so it's a big inconvenience to us not having those available. first time visit. they were insanely rude. i brought a friend who is a nurse and served as a medic in the marines. she was discharged due to a brain injury. she now runs multiple transition homes for people with eating disorders, vets with injuries and PTSD and victims of domestic violence. they refused us service the second we sat down. we literally didn't even order water yet. i had only introduced her to my friends and got menus. we were not rude and did not cause any problems and tried to reconcile multiple times. the staff and management insulted us many times and tried to act like we were the problem. claiming some right to cut people off when we have not had any alcohol there or anywhere else. even when we tried to move on and talk about order something else like food they insisted on being insulting and they wouldn't even talk to us like we were people. after humiliating my friend on her first meeting with my other friends. she was upset, but she wanted to hang out with my friends anyways. so we moved over to the gaming section and even bought a couple of games. we didn't make a scene. we just went about out business and started playing a game. they then insisted on kicking us out saying they will call the cops. they are ANTI DISABLED and ANTI VETERAN and i strongly suspect they prejudged her and just decided to harass her. i bet they looked at her and decided she was a right wing person when she very much isn't and decided to abuse her based on their bigotry. i cant wait for them to respond to this comment with their LIES. because that's how shitty people like this act. every person in my very large group i was with was beyond stunned at their behavior. they were all offended. this was well beyond offensive and inappropriate! read more
