One Up Games is awesome! If you haven't checked it out, it's in Plainville near North Attleboro. My kid's favorite store for Pokemon related merchandise :) They have all the platforms and thousands of games to choose from- $6/hr. or $15/day. A great way to check out games before you buy them! They also have a machine with tons of old school Atari games! The people there are so friendly and nice and create such a welcoming atmosphere. They are very clean and go above and beyond in the precautions against Covid. I highly recommend checking them out!! :) read more

Remember the days of Atari and Asteroids? I was quickly reminded when I visited 1UP Games this week. As other reviews mention, they have a large selection of used games that are competitively priced along with gaming systems that go way back. My son's Wii kicked the bucket shortly after moving to the Valley. What does one do with all the games that we've acquired over the years? Sell them? Nah, we found a used system with a 30 day warranty for $55 at 1UP Games. It was clean and came with all of the hardware. My family and I came here to revive an old Super Nintendo from years ago. The man who helped us was super knowledgeable. The store is clean, well organized, has just about any retro game you can think of, and some toys that my daughter (6) was in love with. I usually feel awkward when going into a small store but the man let us shop without hovering over us. We are not big gamers but this store accommodates every level and age with various levels of interest. We can't wait to go back and are so happy this store exists in our neighborhood! read more

I accidentally found 1Up games as I went in this shopping center to turnaround and go to get lunch. It is a cool video game store that sells modern games/systems SNES/Sega and retro games and portable systems like Game Gear, Gameboy and occasionally WonderSwan and NeoGeos. I bought some old gameboy/Gameboy color games and a 3ds games. Prices are great and some things are cheaper than Ebay. Games I purchased work fine and that is my favorite thing about box stores like 1Up. Service was friendly and helpful. read more

Just walked in here for the first time, and wow, what an awesome little shop. I didn't get the same dreadful feeling I get when I have to go to one of the big chains. Tim was perfectly content to just let us browse, and he didn't even try pressuring us into preordering any games I've never heard of. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. There was some awesome videogame inspired music playing, and lots of Nintendo Power posters on the wall. I'll definitely check here first, the next time I'm searching for a retro game. read more

One of many places I hit up this past Saturday on my never ending quest to find a copy of Ghouls N' Ghosts on the Genesis. I ended up chatting with Nick (?) for quite a while. Definitely a place I want to hang out again soon! While I didn't find the elusive Ghouls N' Ghosts cart, I ended up leaving with a pristine boxed copy of Super Mario Bros 2 for a fair price. I'll be calling today to see if they can fix my chewed Super Famicom controller wire that my dog thought was a tasty snack last night. I haven't actually been into the store, but I've called a couple times in search of a certain game and a used controller and each time the co-owner, Nick, has picked up and is extremely helpful! They didn't have the specific items I was looking for, but gave me recommendations of places close to where I live. It's not a bad little store As they have game for many different consuls from x box Atari Nintendo play station and the likes. The problem was I think the store is just a little too small so they don't have a lot of selection between the console games. If they can fix the problem it would be a good better place to go for games read more

Ok, so this place is amazing! If you are an old school gamer or even a new school gamer...go check this place out. I've been playing games since the late 80's on my Sega Master System and its so awesome to be able to see all the old systems and games I used to play...and yes they have master system games. The prices are also very affordable for an indie games boutique. I just picked up a copy of Tetris Worlds for my GameCube. Seriously folks, go check this place out. The owners are super cool too. Just go in and chat with them. I spent my first trip there simply sharing our love for video games, I'm sure they'd love to talk video games with you. I don't know much about old school games but this place takes me back to the few I played. And they have a very nice selection of modem games that I and my son are more familiar with so there is something for everyone here! The staff are friendly, prices and trade-in values are reasonable, and the tourneys they have are fun. Went there for the first time today & great selection from the owner ; by the name of Eric . I stopped in the shop yesterday and Nick was very helpful. I told him how I was on a mission to find a Nintendo 64 game to send to a soldier who was deployed for part of his Christmas box. Even though you did not currently have the game Nick went above and beyond to help me find the game I was searching for. Whether you are a hardcore gamer or just love the nostalgia of gaming in your childhood, you have got to check out this place. It may be small but the owners have it set up perfectly. Only the best titles and selection, great prices, fun atmosphere, and the owners are the friendliest ever. My husband and I have a great time whenever we stop in and it feels good to support a small local business that so clearly pours their heart and soul into what they love. In addition to tons of great video game decorations throughout the business & video game soundtracks playing on the speakers instead of the radio (at least I think I noticed that last time?), they also have a couple TV's set up with different video games and fun challenges that go along with them. For instance, the first time we stopped in they had an old Super Mario Bros water level pulled up and if you could get through the level holding the contoller upside down on your first try you won a drink from the cooler! Another time you could win a drink by landing a helicopter in a game after spinning in circles 10 times. We used to go to Zia for all our used video gaming needs --- but we are total converts to 1UP Games now! Better selection, fair and reasonable prices, and GREAT environment. read more
