I have always wanted certain arcade machines for my home, but the question was, "if you had to pick just one." I certainly have favorites, but they were all my favorites at one time or another. A couple of years ago, my wife got one of the machines you see in various box stores. I was elated. I loved being able to play the classics like Malaga and Pac Man. I added a Tron / Discs of Tron game. Still, something was - off. The buttons didn't feel quite right, and it wasn't perfect. I couldn't replicate the scores I got at the local pizza place, and I had a machine in my home where I could practice as much as I wanted. I fell down a small rabbit hole about the quality of the sticks and buttons as well as the machine emulating the arcade. Somewhere in all that, I stumbled across Game Room City. They made machines that used authentic controls and high end parts. The larger screen would allow for horizontal games like Joust and Street Fighter. The whole unit was considerably larger. It came with a higher price tag. I seemed and hawed a bit, but eventually called them up. I had a few questions, and they were quickly answered. Dennis gave me every confidence that this was the experience I wanted. I placed and order. A week later, I had a giant box on my doorstep. Much to my dismay, I found it had been damaged in shipping (no fault of Game Room City there). I reached out, and they immediately got on the ball. They had a replacement shipped out to me quickly, and this one arrived intact. I hade it up and running that same afternoon. With over 7000 games, it covers almost everything I played growing up. I joke with my friends that it is a crate of nostalgia in the game room now. Everyone who has seen it, even in a couple of days, loves it. It feels like a real arcade machine - because it is. The machine is commercial quality. The experience is just like playing at an arcade. The customer service is top notch. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU BUY FROM THIS PLACE! I bought a video game console from them recently at the Orange County fair. I paid in full and waited for delivery after the fair, they said. I was in constant communication with them to arrange a delivery date. They called to confirm the date and that i paid in full. They said they would be here between 2 and 4 pm, on delivery day. At 340 pm, no call, no delivery truck. I called and got no answer. Worried that they wouldn't come, I called 3 times and got no answer. Finally, the truck arrived, and I put my thoughts aside. They set it up and left. My kids played it for 1 hour, and it stopped working! I posted a picture of the error on the game screen. I called game room city for the next 2 days. Both my wife and I called, and no answer! The message says they will call back within 24 hours well its now been 3 days and nothing. Your their best buddy until they collect your money and then leave you high and dry. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from this place and I will continue to warn people on social media, the BBB and any avenue I can think of to keep people from going thru what we are going thru. read more

Buyer beware with this company. I bought a table top neo geo arcade multi system with 600+ games a few years ago from Tommy. Upon buying the arcade they let me know it comes with lifetime tech support and 1 year warranty on parts. Time went on and the game got slower so I called Tommy. He said it happens bring it by and they'll give it an update. So I did. That's when I didn't know if I would ever get my arcade top back. I dropped it off on a Friday and they said come back next week and it'll be here ready. Went there the following Sunday (last day of the fair) and they said they took it back to apple valley cuz they didn't think I was going to come get it. Not to mention the owner was a very rude old man with a girls pony tail who was basically telling me to deal with it. So I dealt with it the only way I knew I could. I called Tommy since I bought it off him originally and he said he or another driver would have to drop it off to my household. I said no problem just let me know when. Two days later I got a call from their office telling me when they would be dropping it off but they didn't even have my address so I gave it to her. She said after their tech worked on it some parts were replaced and I owed the $100. I asked her what was replaced and she flipped out at me and started telling me I was harassing her. I simply inquired with what was done to my arcade and what was replaced since I had spoken with their tech Dustin during the week since he was the only one present at the shop and everyone else was working the fair. He said it was a simple switch update nothing was broken and nothing was replaced (that falls under tech support). After that she told me they didn't want my business anymore since I was to much of a hassle and it wasn't worth it to them. Not only that Tommy told me that he's no longer affiliated with that company even though he sold me everything and comes back to apple valley (wherever their location is because it isn't the fair dr address) and picks up product and sells it in Vegas (pretty shady). I've bought a game system, neon lights for myself and friends and for any company to come out and outright say their denying your business when they did a rock solid job on being wishy washy is just plain bad for everyone. Furthermore when any repair is done to anything there's an invoice that's created and when my system was dropped off by their driver there was no paper work. So they basically wanted me to pay out $100 to have the driver drop off my game system even though I was there to pick it up at the fair within the timely threshold. Communication is key and these people who run this company don't posses it. A bunch of pictures have been taken off of their Facebook page as well as I'm sure people are looking for this guy due to his unprofessional ism, big mouth/dick mentality and shoddy professionalism.
