A friend of mine turned me on to this place a couple years ago. You know what's funny as you get older. You forget about the things that you really enjoyed in your youth. And playing pinball was certainly one of them. From the moment I walked in, I knew that this was a great place! Plenty of pinball machines, all lined up. It was almost a sensory overload, but I'll tell you what when I drop that first quarter in the machine I knew I was home. Folks at Captain's really know how to keep a place running smooth. The machines are clean, always a new machine popping up and just actually making an enjoyable environment. They have a Coke machine and a snack machine and a little area to sit if you so desire, but you will be spending your time punching the flippers! Well, the arcade is absolutely enthralling, and you will be there for hours and hours if your budget allows, the real magic is in the back where they have all the auction items. Whether you're looking for a pinball machine, maybe an old arcade game from you youth or just some sort of interesting piece of machinery that you can't live without. Captains has you dialed in. I've seen more than one thing that I want to take home there. The bottom line? You can absolutely not go wrong going to this arcade. Can't really complain. The location is in an industrial area. I actually went to the wrong building at first and waa directed to the correct one. I would guess around 40 to 50 machines. Most are newer models priced at .75 and some older ones at .50. Most of the machines are in competition mode and have extra balls turned off which I did not like. Some even had the ball save turned off but there are signs on the machines to let you know. All machines looked to be forsake as well. One note, lots of these played very floaty which was nice. If you are in the area it is totally worth checking out. read more

after 7 years of purchasing from captains large item tickets, it seems they block me from bidding now because i requested a refund on a $100 move poster that was stated to be an original beatle juice movie poster from the 1980's as i read the discription and thats what it stated on there as well as what the auctioner had stated. once i recieved the poster it was printed in 2000's and had an instagram logo in the back which i looked up and can be purchased through amazon. so i called and stated it was falsley advertised i was exepecting an original peace if i wanted a print i could have gotten it from amazon. and so they decieded to refund. today i logged in to view the auction and bid on some big items.. they said i was blocked from bidding now for conisistintly calling and asking for a refund. i cant believe they are treating a long time customer like this really sad. it should be illegal to falsley advertise an item as orginal when it absoultly is not. they say there items are sold "as is" but thats bull because its all on the discription read more

I mean it's an auction house what do you expect You're going to end up paying good money for stuff whether it's good stuff or not. Like with anything you're going to have to do your homework and you're going to have to look at all the pictures and you're going to have to assume things are missing or broken, and sold as is unless it's specifically spelled out. My specific case the last time I actually been on something I won it was a piece of art but it came damaged I didn't spend much money on it it sucks that it was damaged but, I couldn't spend the time trying to make a federal case out of it. It was pretty clear that it was done when packaged and not done by the postal service has the item was damaged but the box had no damage on it. I still give them four stars because they know their stuff. At least Chris does. Will I buy from them again? Only if I start making good But yes I would buy from again read more

Upon arriving at 9 am, I realized that I had completely goofed and misunderstood Google's operational hours for this establishment, as well as its corresponding showroom. I arrived as suggested for the warehouse opening hours - wanting to visit the showroom and play some pinball - but I did not realize that the showroom hours are evening times compared to the warehouse's 9am-5pm (Monday-Friday Hours). Nevertheless, I was instructed to speak with the owner Chris whom was thankfully in the warehouse office. Chris was understanding of my mistake and was generous enough to offer me a tour of the Captain's Auction Warehouse, as well as providing me with the opportunity to enter the showroom and play some Jurassic Park with the Captain himself! Furthermore, the staff is very friendly, welcoming, and have the best interest in mind for their customers! Absolutely love all the effort they put into their machines (arcade and pinball), as well as the extensive amount of work that they put in to their tournaments! I went to pop up showroom slash pinball room today! Man what a place first this place is setup amazing!! Super nice super clean!! Just perfectly honestly some puns had some really minor lights out or semi weak flippers but come on there is like over 50 pinballs there so impossible to know every one I am sure they are all in amazing shape I was super happy to see the Spider-Man pin there!! They have al the new ones from stern as well did I say this place is awesome!! Ok so this place gets a 9.5 out of 10!! What would make it a 10 you ask if they just charged a flat rate to get in and didn't mess with any coins. I spent 10 bucks today and I felt like I gotta super deal. I would love a $15 all you can play thing. Talked to the Captain himself and btw a super nice guy said the showroom slash arcade is still in pop up shop status so like the Facebook page for when they have them. So I am sure it will only get better again place is awesome super clean every game even has a cup holder!! Imagine if he can sell beer there . I watched this auction from 11 am Aug 22nd to 2 am Aug 23rd. This was definitely shill bidding. These games were bid up 2 and 3 times over their value. Sometimes nobody would bid on an item so they would keep going lower and lower until finally someone would bid. Within seconds the bid would be over the original bid price that nobody would bid on in the first place. There are games on ebay in nicer condition for a fraction of the price but Captain's is getting 3 times that amount for a worse condition game? Yea right! Waste of time. I wouldn't take a game here or buy a game from this place. Also it's been said that a seller only has to pay a $10 fee for winning his own game. Hence why the same games are always for sell during the next auction. These are people buying and selling their own games until they get a price they are happy with. read more

Beware! This company is the worst auction house I've ever been to. They scam, cheat and steal. They employed ghost bidding to increase their bids. I bought 20 machines and only 2 worked. I drove 2000 miles to be scammed and pick up their junk. When I caught them ghost bidding they immediately said I could have the machine for my last bid, what about the actual high bidder? They weren't real hence the ghost bidding. If you are foolish enough to buy from here you will live to regret it. read more

I have participated in several games auctions that Captain's has put on the past few years. I have been there live as well as bid through their on-line auctions. I can tell you Captain's Auctions is one of the few "honest" auction houses. Each item is fully described and they give you great visuals so if you can't be there in person, you can really see the item up close. They are not a "pull a fast one" or pull a "switcheroo" auction company. Chris, who runs the auctions has pulled items right before bidding that he didn't feel comfortable with the quality of the item, or there was something not working perfectly. If something isn't working, he tells you up front. I even had an item that a small part didn't work probably when it was moved and they repaired it for no charge. I have stocked a complete game room in my home from the Captain and saved 1000's of dollars. The crew is pretty motley looking, but don't let that intimidate you. The Staff is very friendly and a helpful. They have an amazing amount of games and I have walked away with games that I did not even existed. I have picked up everything from a Classic 80's multi game to a full sit down driving game. This is where all the game room stores come to buy games, then rehab them and sell them for a pretty penny. Make sure to get there early enough before the auction to try the games out, many have problems, but many are very clean, its up to you to figure it out. It makes for a fun day too. read more
