The double-decker Starcade was the best in the 80s, always luring us out of the Space Mountain line (back then, we'd rarely wait if the line made it "outside"). My games of choice were Rally X and Tron. Hell, even the escalators were fun. Once separated from your friend, you had to search for them- sometimes you would catch them coming up as you were going down. Trust me, before smartphones this was considered fun. As passholders, it wasn't uncommon for us to go to Disneyland in the late 80s just to play air hockey, because they had a bank of old-school, heavy, air hockey tables. [That might sound crazy now, but in the pre-DCA days, we could tell the parking booth we were dropping someone off, tear the windshield marker off, and park just 100 feet away from the turnstiles to get in.] It will always be a special place because it was the setting for two of our home movies, one being "Compatibility Report" in which I type in the names of Joe and myself only to be called a homophobic slur from the robot. The other was a parody of "Rainman" where Joe helps me beat PacMan (and then I teach him how to kiss). Note to self: maybe I am gay.

Severe ADA Violation - Denied Entry by Manager Josie for Medical NecessityReview Text:…read more I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by my experience at this establishment regarding a blatant refusal to accommodate a legitimate medical necessity. I have Sjögren's disease, a chronic autoimmune condition that attacks moisture-producing glands. This causes severe, constant oral dryness and extreme thirst, requiring me to have immediate, continuous access to water. When I tried to enter with my water bottle, I was stopped. I explicitly explained my medical condition and the physical necessity of having hydration on hand. Despite this clear medical explanation, the manager/employee, Jose, refused to allow me to enter. Instead, he gave me an unacceptable ultimatum: I could either repeatedly walk back and forth to my car in the parking lot to drink water, or I could purchase water directly from the venue.Under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), public businesses are strictly required to make reasonable modifications to their policies to accommodate individuals with medical conditions and disabilities. Forcing a customer to pay for water or exit the building repeatedly just to access a medical necessity is a clear violation of public accommodation laws.Manager/employee, Jose and the rest of the front-line staff desperately need proper training on ADA compliance and basic customer empathy. I expect the ownership to take immediate corrective action so that no other patron with a medical condition is subjected to this unlawful treatment.

They have a great variety, and the claw isn't weak, although it did take a few times on some machines to get a winning, I think that could be from the prize being a little heavy. Overall, I think the price is good a dollar per try, they had good music going on, a good amount of customers in there, even though it's in a mall that's slowly closing down. Me and my daughter had a great time, we probably spent over an hour there.

This is located within the Westminster mall, on the second floor occupying a pretty large space. I came to this location because the Groupon I had only worked here and not at the Alhambra location. The worker at the location was nice and took care of my Groupon. She gave us a basket for our tokens. She mentioned that this is probably the largest Kawaii Klaws location out of all the another areas. There are easily 30+ different claw machines in this location. There was enough variety in plushies among the machines, but I wish they had more as there were a lot of commonalities among Sanrio and a lot of bunny inspired plushies. We left with 4 plushies on this visit, the staff working their was friendly and she said she loved my bf's and my energy which I thought was so lovely of her to mention...I asked her name but forgot but she was really sweet. If you're looking for a place to kill time and want to try and score some cute plushies this is the place!

Idk how much…read morehas changed when it comes to bowling and food there but I did try out the food and drinks. I actually thought they were decent and especially when going bowling with your friends and all. I remember my friend ordered the standard chicken tenders and fries for his other friends and I to share. The arcade selections is not bad, better than my last visit but I sort of missed the selection they had when I first visit this place. Especially since my first visit had tons of variety ranging from fighting games like BlazBlue and Persona (I miss that Persona fighting game), racing games, rail shooters like Time Crisis, and games where you earn tickets like Space Invader and that pirate wheel spinning game (don't know the name). I didn't mind the airsoft ones like Onpoint and the Cyberpunk game (which didn't work when I visited btw) because it always felt good using those but I'm not a fan of the VR ones. Mostly because it invalidated the rail shooters and you get sick of it easily. It's the reason why I rarely see anyone play those. The good part about the arcade selection is that unlike most arcade places, tickets are a lot easier to rack up and especially if you know which game to play. The plinko ones I highly recommend if you want to earn tickets. Speaking of comparison, this is place is surprisingly a lot quieter (outside of kids acting like you know kids) but that's because most of the people that go to Round 1 are like teenagers and young adults. Which makes sense given the amount of anime stuff this place provides. The claw machine is obviously the main attraction and they've honestly gotten much harder than previous first few visits, which is why I deduct one star. Though the staff were helpful enough to reposition the plushie so that I could get it but I'm not sure if they still do that. They have a lot of selections of anime merch but good luck trying to win those given how hard they've gotten. It'd be a miracle if the claw even lifts it up. The balls underneath the prize certainty didn't help either.

The staff was friendly and we had a great time. Little touches like the Fog Factory and the round-the-park train really made the experience better. The closer your kids get to 10, the more uncertain I am that it would be the best choice, but for toddlers it's heaven and for a decent price.
