I've been to every other shop in town as well as Manteca. I am very particular about what I like as well as the way the artist work my hands. I cannot rave about galaxy enough. Especially Diane, Mia and Danny. They are my all time favorites and do a good job every time no matter how busy they are. They listen to what I want and tell me straight up if something may look funky or they're unable to do it. On Saturday July 29, 2017 my mother, 4-year-old daughter and I went to Galaxy Nails and Spa to have a mani-pedi. My mother and I, had the $32 mani-pedi and my daughter had the $20 mani pedi. We decided to try this salon because my daughter wanted a mani pedi on the winnie the pooh chair. About the mani-pedi: Well, here is why I do not recommend you go to this salon. No even 24 hours after the manicure, my nails were peeling off (see picture) I have had manicures before and this has NEVER happened. That day we had dinner out so I did not even washed dishes, something was wrong, maybe the lotion they used made the nails greasy or the nail polish was of bad quality. On Sunday morning, I send them a message in facebook and nobody answered. Then, I decided to stop by Today Monday 31, to inform them what happened. Most of my nails had peeled off and my daughter did not have one nail on her hand painted, and on her feet she might have half of the nails still painted. To my surprised I was blamed for what happened, and while I was offered to immediately fix the nails, I was shout at, and blamed for what happened repeatedly. When I asked if I could come on another time to fix it, since my daughter was sick (I just had pick her up from school because she vomited) the lady screamed at me and told me no, because it was my fault. The mani-pedi was ok, truly, I have had better. I loved the massaging chair and the guy who did mine and my daughter's mani-pedi was nice, I think his name is Wi. I liked that we arrived around 11:30 a.m. and the salon was busy but not packed. The salon is nice, it seemed clean and I noticed the tubs were cleaned after each client was done. But I do not feel like paying $32 plus tip for a 24 hr mani-pedi, with an additional side of screaming and rudeness. No Thank you! read more

STAY AWAY. I honestly have never had a worse experience in my life. I've had my nails done since I was 15. I'm 21 now. So safe to say I know the drill and the run down. I walked in at 1:45pm (no appt) and they sat me right away with a gentleman. Now I read the reviews before coming so I was a little worried about him. But I have him a chance since he was nice. He did take pretty long just to shape my nails but they came out even and exactly how I wanted them. Then he put on the color on my thumb and I didn't like it so I told him and he was happy to change it. Then he put on the one I liked. It was called "Velvet cream" and it's exactly how I like it on the sample. Neutral cream color with a purple undertone. He had a bright pink colored nail polish on his fingers that wiped off on my nail and he never cleaned it up. Then the top coat was pretty sloppily put on. Then he put me in the dryer by the door. Now this is where it gets really horrible. The terrible women that has short hair with terrible highlights was behind him and she was already loud that someone walked out because she was trying to Multi task but the women was taking so long that she left. So she was complaining. Then I got up from my nails being dry. And I've had my nails done 6 years and know the feeling when my nails are dry or when they are still wet. She yelled at me and said "no your nails aren't dry yet! Go sit back down" taken back I just replied calmly saying my nails were dry and I showed her while I touched my nails. Then she continues to argue with me back and forth?? What kind of customer service is that??? Never coming back. The gentleman deserves 4 starts (5 if he did better on the color). Oh and by the way. I scrubbed my hands and it still left a residue. It was more of dunk them in the water and get them out then put nail polish on them. Maybe they were in a hurry? IDK. I wanted to like this place but not worth it for me. Nail polish chipped the night i came home. My nails have started to chip and lift already.

Had a gel mani and gel pedi. I could tell during the manicure that he wasn't really cleaning too much skin off from my cuticles, the massage was not good at all. During the pedicure he rubbed skin off the top of a couple of my toes with the buffer. A couple nails started lifting at the sides after 4 days. It has been 9 days now and all nails are lifting at the sides and several are chipped. Giving 2 stars because it was clean. read more

I really enjoy coming here only place I've been honestly since moving to mountain house. I am guilty of trying a place and staying there without venturing out to try other places. Pedicures are always relaxing and I don't feel like they rush at all. Diane always does a great job on my nails and makes sure it's what I like. It really is always a relaxing experience. I think no matter where you go and how consistent you are going to one place their will be hiccups every now and then but galaxy nails always seem to consistent which I like. Ok update I was honestly writing that while I was getting a pedicure which was great and relaxing until I go to get my fill done. They just weren't all that great Diane use to do a really great job don't know why all of a sudden it's just not the way she use to do them on top of her drilling behind my nails twice drawing blood it hurt so bad and the third time cutting my cuticle my hands still hurt. This happened the last time I was there but didn't feel the need to say anything thinking it happens every now and then now three times that's a little careless. Half the time you think they are talking crap about you and wonder if she just did that on purpose not to mention there facial expressions when you don't want to use there atm to take cash out which charges you $4.00 from your bank instead of them using there atm/credit machine I'm not trying to make them sound bad honestly but cutting me three times then asking for $70 maybe I'm crazy but I think it would of been a nice gesture to maybe take $5.00 off for killing my nails three times I really think there has to be a better nail place in tracy any recommendations ? I gave this place zero stars I had an appointment this morning at 9 AM for a fill and a pedicure. I did my pedicure I went to go get my fill done. As I told the lady what I wanted on my nails it was glitter powder With neutral ombre.She act like she understood. She did one now and then she tossed my hand up and I told her this is all wrong so she started putting all her stuff away like she was done. So I asked her how much was for the pedicure and I paid for the pedicure and told her I will just go across the street because I am paying good money to get my nails done here and I'm not getting what I want I go there all the time and I usually go to Mindy. as I looked around to see if anyone else could help her on what I was talking about and what I wanted all my nails they just was talking in their language which was rude and was laughing.I paid for my pedicure and walked out I will never go back there again. I am used to mediocre shops in the Bay Area so when my Sister invited me to a pedi date I was all about it. Rode into the Valley and stepped foot into this beautifully decorated nail shop. It screamed luxury to me with all of the chandeliers sparkling against the light. I'm all about the sparkle. Pros: Decor is gorgeous Spacious Plenty of parking List of services to choose from Sanitary Plenty of parking Safe Quiet Plenty of workers Open on Sundays Cons: I drew the short straw & the guy I got just wasn't skilled in the pedicure life. He took a very long time and I ended up with bumpy non smooth nail polish. It looked really bad and I asked him to redo it. He did and it was only a tad better. He kept layering on the polish and I still ended up with non smooth polish and extra polish all over my toes. He failed to clean them up. By the time I was done, I was pretty over it. He looked frustrated and so did I. Not a match made in heaven on this occasion. I can tell the shop does good work but I just got the bad seed this day. I disliked how the owner was a little judgemental and little too honest on her thoughts about others. My Sister's toes and brows came out great as a side note. read more

I love this place, I went to Tammy's just because it was open later and they totally screwed my nails up. Here, My favorite lady is amazing and I know she's about to fix them and make my Birthday nails look fabulous. I have been here 5 times already and I love the customer service. I love going to Galaxy Nails & Spa to get my nails done. The place is always clean and everyone greets you as you enter. The staff are very friendly and the owner is super nice. They have lots of option for colors. I always get a mani & pedi from them. I'ce tried a couple different type of foot spa from them: Lavender, mango, Rose and Champagne. So I come to this nail salon quite often. I found my visit this time very strange. I bought my husband along with me this time he wanted a pedicure and manicure. We chose to pay separate. My husband (tall black male with dreadlocks) chose to pay with his credit card. The lady looked at him and said "go to the ATM" my husband stated "no I want to pay this way" she then rolled her eyes and took the payment. Prior to him paying I witnessed 4 women of different nationalities pay with credit card with no problem or being asked to go to the ATM. I find that EXTREMELY racist and discriminatory. I began to ask them "why because he's black" they all looked stupid as if they were shocked I asked this question or because I called them out on their racist act. It's a shame that black people get treated so poorly. This will be the last time I spend my hard earned money in this shop. It's a shame because they do ok work in Tracy. Amy saved my life!!! I went to top ten nails and asked for coffin shaped nails and lonng story short they were horrible. Amy told me they were very bad quality and fixed my embarrassing excuse of nails! They are now exactly what I wanted!!! I am now taking my business here.
