Walking in, I was greeted kindly and offered a soda, water, and candies. Wow! Very considerate. The atmosphere was upbeat and comfortable. They told me I'd wait about 15 minutes and sat me at a pedicure station while I picked a color and sipped my water. About 10 minutes later, I was offered another refreshment. Ok, sure. These little candies were good! My nail tech Debi was great and she handled my feet with care. I didn't feel pressured to add services at all. Being that I came in at the last hour of business, I was concerned about having enough time for what I wanted but Debi worked fast and efficiently. Upon paying, I was already feeling satisfied about my experience, but as I walked away, she said wait! Here's a gift for you. I was shocked. A full size lotion! I've been in and out of nail salons for the past 28 years and have never been given anything as a token of appreciation. I thought it was a nice touch. Bumps and uneven color. Just horrible Gel Polish on my toes. The man who did my Pedicure I remember from years ago ( at another salon) and he painted horrible then too. I let the guy know I didnt want GEL on my fingers, just regular Polish I must have said it 3 times, so he is doing my manicure then says allll done & hasn't even painted my finger nails! Luckily another lady painted my fingers with polish so they came out looking great. But my toes? Horrible and stuck with them for 3 weeks at least. For some reason, she always gives me a stank face when I come in and stares me down. I don't hold back and stare back, but it's definitely uncomfortable. If I go in, I always call ahead to see if they have time, since I usually decide the day of. The last time I tried to go, they said they were fully booked. No worries, saved me the drive, so I went somewhere else that was able to take me in. While I was parking, Merry Nails called back to let me know their appointment had cancelled and asked if I wanted to come in. I couldn't since I was already at another place, but I appreciated that they called me back. Overall, the good technician makes me come back, but the rude staff member is a downside. I was specifically looking for a salon that had a little kids chair because I was taking my almost 3 year old to get her nails done with me. Wonder nails consistently came up. Pictures online looked fine so we called to see if they could fit us in - they said yes. Showed up and I asked if they by any chance had time to do gel x nails for me rather than a basic gel mani. They hesitated, looking around - one woman offered acrylic I said no thank you I want gel x but if they can't do it I'll do a regular gel mani it's totally fine. They said they could do it and the woman who started doing my nails, basically in my OPINION, did not know what she was doing. I am making an assumption based on my experience and compared to my experiences at other salons - but it seemed like she was just learning gel x and almost as if I was her first customer she'd ever done it on. Here's why: - she cut my skin with the drill multiple times, multiple different nails - the shape and length is different with each nail and even more from hand to hand - on a couple of the nails, the size of the nail she put on was clearly the wrong size and went onto my skin rather than strictly being on my nail bed - I brought up these issues and after a couple times of me requesting she fix it, I realized this lady simply was not going to do a good job and I would be getting them fixed elsewhere. I was with my young daughter and was more infatuated with the experience my daughter was having for her first salon visit and paying attention to her, not to mention I didn't have the time to sit there and have this woman continue to fix mistake after mistake. - the first nail she cut for length, I told her that's too short a little longer and she still continued to cut it at that length. I was visibly annoyed but she continued to cut the rest of them and again - being with my young daughter is unfortunately not a time for me to extend the duration of our time there. If you have kids, you know. This visit wasn't about me this time. - I requested almost shaped, pointy / stiletto, but for some reason she cut the nails square (even tho the gel x nail was already pointed) and filed it down into the pointy almond shape. I have never had anyone else do it this way and given the final shape, clearly this is not the ideal way to do it. They are also all different lengths and different pointedness. My pinky nail she cut first is so terribly ugly and short. But again, I didn't have time to sit there and have her take it off and fix it. However I would have still expected a professional nail artist would offer so that I don't leave the salon with their work looking crazy. Multiple other staff looked at the nails after and tried to say how pretty they were and I'm just confused which leads me to believe I was an experiment for her as her first customer with gel x nails. My fingers all look different, I have cuts on multiple of them from her drill, and when she was done shaping before the polish I had to blatantly tell her to file one of them that was so visibly the wrong size for my nail bed which was crazy to me. Also, the woman who did my pedicure was better however my toes are also sore from her picking at them so much. I will say - my toes were looking crazy going in there but I feel it's their job to know when to stop picking on my cuticles. It hurts to walk now because my big toe is so damn sore. I'm sure the rest of the staff are better. But we will not be returning. Keep an eye on them if you're getting services here. You may have to step in and tell them what to do....

She told me the curved French tip would be $10, but when I said I didn't like the curve, she said "that's the best I can do" and she'd just charge me $7 for a regular one instead. At checkout, she still charged me the full $10 anyway and said she did the curve disregarding what she said before. It's not even about the $3--it's the fact that she said one thing and did another. She also continuously tried to argue with me about it after the fact I paid. That kind of service just doesn't sit right with me. I wouldn't go back.

She's so unprofessional and has a temper and will YELL at you. I had called ahead of time to ask if she could take me in 5 minutes, and she said yes. She asked where I was and I said down the street. When I got there, she was mid pedicure on someone, so I was like jeez didn't she say she was free???? But I waited patiently and didn't say anything. Then the customer said they also wanted a manicure. She didn't tell her no, hey I have this other customer who called and she's waiting. I waited a few minutes to see if she'd tell me something but she didn't. So that's when I had to ask Lana, "are you gonna do me next after that pedicure?". She hesitantly said yes. Honestly, I feel like if I hadn't said something, she would've just continued with that customer. I should have just left at that point. When she finally started my manicure, I showed her the inspo pictures and asked for a light pink base with white tips for a french manicure. She put this reddish, raw beef-looking color on as the base. She did one nail first (no light) and I wasn't really happy with it, but I thought maybe I'd like it once I saw it w/the white tips, so I told her it was fine and she continued putting the raw beef color on all my nails. Then, after she finished one hand of white tips, I told her I really didn't like the base color. THAT'S when she lost her temper and yelled at me in the shop, "YOU WASTED MY TIME." While I admit I should've said something sooner, I was trying to give the color a chance. and let's be real, it was 1 coat of the base color and white tips on one hand that took her probably max 5 minutes at this point. I told her to just take the gel off and I'd go somewhere else. She ended up drilling the color off in a rush and did a sloppy job. See pictures. She still charged me $25 and I said for what?? she claimed for the manicure, which she did a crappy job. The cuticles are rough, not trimmed, skin wasn't trimmed, and the whole thing was just messy. I ended up going somewhere else to get them fixed. If she couldn't do the base color I wanted, she should've just said that. I even showed her the inspo beforehand, and then had the gall to yell at me I should've picked just a solid color. why?? because that's all she knows how to do. her skills do not go beyond that. I've been here a few times and always enjoyed her work, I also only ever got a solid color. But after this experience, being yelled at, and paying $25 for a sloppy manicure, never again. I hope she enjoyed the $25 bucks.
