When I moved to Mountain House from San Jose. I have tried pretty much all the nail salons in the area! I have to say, this is the best nail salon by far. People are very friendly, but most of all they do a great job! I had Sue do my pedicure and my daughter did manicure by Tammy. They both turned out amazing! This is my go to place! read more

Merry Nails & Spa - Feels so good! - Nail Salons Near Me - Tracy, California

I don't get my nails done often, but I always go for the same light color. Since it's so light, it usually takes 3-4 coats of gel for the color to really show. Some technicians are hesitant to do that many coats, but this lady happily did it for me, I think I've gone to her twice now, and she's great. That said, there's one lady there who is always unpleasant. She constantly gives me mean looks and once did a rushed service for me, my nails and hand/foot massage were a total quickie, and I hated it. For some reason, she always gives me a stank face when I come in and stares me down. I don't hold back and stare back, but it's definitely uncomfortable. If I go in, I always call ahead to see if they have time, since I usually decide the day of. The last time I tried to go, they said they were fully booked. No worries, saved me the drive, so I went somewhere else that was able to take me in. While I was parking, Merry Nails called back to let me know their appointment had cancelled and asked if I wanted to come in. I couldn't since I was already at another place, but I appreciated that they called me back. Overall, the good technician makes me come back, but the rude staff member is a downside. The callback was a nice touch, though. read more

I was very disappointed with the service and customer experience. I brought my 10-year-old child in for a manicure/pedicure and was surprised when the salon refused to honor the children's pricing. Despite my child clearly being 10 years old, I was charged the adult rate with little explanation and no willingness to discuss the issue. What was most frustrating was the way the situation was handled. Rather than trying to resolve the concern or show any understanding, the staff were dismissive and unhelpful. Good customer service means treating customers fairly and addressing concerns respectfully, and unfortunately that did not happen during our visit. There are many salons that value their customers and clearly communicate their pricing policies. Based on this experience, I would not return or recommend this salon to others. read more

I wanted to like this place and was utterly disappointed with the nail service from Eugene. He did a shoddy job, showed no hospitality and he knew it. Overcharging for sub par crap work. I won't be returning, today was the last straw and I won't be recommending either. I regret having done so recently. Some of the other Techs seem good but I keep getting a bad one. read more

Tina does an amazing job every time! I've been going to her for over a year and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I get dip nails with a French tip, and they always turn out flawless. At $60, it's super affordable for the quality, and my nails consistently last up to five weeks. Highly recommend if you're looking for long-lasting, beautiful nails! read more

It's always so relaxing here. My only regret is that I didn't get the woman who did my nails name. She took amazing care of my nails the entire manicure, didn't get gel on my fingers, and didn't nick me a single time. I'm a week in and this manicure is just as beautiful as the day I got it while only being a solid color. Having a manicure that lasts and look nice is great when you work in fast food like I do. I will absolutely be returning! Despite only getting a manicure I felt absolutely pampered. It's so calm in there, very relaxing. The lavender product they use for the massages smells divine, and the arm and hand massage was fantastic, so relaxing. I would absolutely recommend those that want to get a manicure that will last and look as gorgeous as the day it was done to come here. Everyone was so friendly as well, along with great prices. read more

I stopped in this salon. The women at the register was very nice, but they didn't give me any color options. I am not sure who I got because she dis not even say hello to me but pointed me to sit down. I asked about colors and she seemed annoyed. The worst part was she had in her earbuds and held a phone conversation with someone the entire time. It was not a good customer service experience. I asked for shorter nails and he said okay and proceeded to do the nails her way. I waited about 3 days and went to Manteca nail salon to fix my nails. That was an expensive week for nails but it was my fault for choosing this place read more

Ugh, this is why I dread shopping around for new nail techs. I recently moved to the area and chose this salon to get my nails done on Mother's Day. I made an appointment and was sat shortly after arrival. Started off with a pedicure and chose the top tier package since, why not, it's my day after all. The tech scrubbed and massaged my calves with barely any pressure. I'm used to my tech kneading me like a ball of dough but he was too gentle with it. It was nice that it included hot stone but again, he barely applied any pressure so there's basically no use in the massage at all. Now for the manicure. The language barrier was the root of our problem. I showed my tech a photo of Korean glass nails that's been popular for some time now. Basically a magnetic gel polish on top of a jelly polish - and instead of the "cat-eye" effect I wanted a halo effect. I even pointed at the little board they have as an example of what I wanted. I said, "I want this color of magnetic gel but make the metallic part a halo like this color," and pointed at a different color to show that that's how I wanted the halo effect on my nail. The tech didn't understand and thought I wanted a pink magnetic polish on top of black. He did one finger and that's when I told him that I didn't want black. He looked confused and had to call another nail tech over to help me translate. So then I pulled up my reference photo again and somehow they both thought I wanted a jelly base with french metallic tips (See attached photos for what I wanted vs what I got)? Did I mention he butchered my cuticles and didn't bother trimming them? He also used his nail to painfully push my cuticles back to apply the gel-x tips. Anyway, at that point I was over trying to explain what I wanted since he clearly wouldn't understand anyway and left very disappointed. I ended up going home, sanded everything off and fixed my nails the way I wanted them. Basically wasted a whole bunch of money on my nails. Anyways, I hate to be that person, but a language barrier shouldn't be *that* detrimental to your ability to give clients what they ask for. read more

I stopped into Merry Nails to have some gel polish removed. I asked the nail tech to please be careful not to get my natural nail with her drill. She proceeded to drill my natural nails. I asked her again and she kept drilling through the gel to my natural nail. Not only did she not listen to me, but she was extremely rough twisting my fingers very hard. I told her she was hurting me, but she didn't seem to care. (I'm not easily hurt and pretty tough). It truly felt like I stepped into a facility that hates their job. Will never go back. read more

The vibe is cool and I really like the fact that they offer services for kids (for the future with my daughter). This is the first place I've been to where the pedicure chairs are in a circle vs. in rows along the wall, but I liked it. We called at 11am to book for 3 people. We asked for 3pm they said they had 2pm appointments. We showed up right on time and the salon was full which I love that for them. There was a lady waited in the lobby. She walked out. I got called at 2:15pm and this guy started on my nails. The same lady walked back in. He stopped me and said he had to do hers bc she also made an appointment. LMAO. We waited five more mins and I just could not do it. So we all left. I was so confused of what just happened. I am sure this place had potential to be great. It was so much cuter inside than outside. At this point though please don't ever overbook your clients. Be respectful of everyone's time. They could have called me to come in later. I was so disappointed. I walked out with unfinished process. I gave them 2 starts bc the guy was kind of nice. read more

The pedicure was really nice. Give you wine and line cute rose petals up and down your lower leg. Pedicure was amazing. The reason for 4 stars is when my nail technician started her work. Only a fill. From the beginning to the end, she cut me four times. Not a knick, but where she cut me, good enough for blood to show. Nails where they were cut (cuticles and side to inside of my nail) hurt for a couple of days. Under my middle finger, it now looks like there is dry skin. Overall, we went by a picture my son saw on Pinterest and I requested a similar design. She did the matte and glitter but, the two nails that should be gel, no top coat was applied. It now looks dull. If I go back, I will not have her fill my nails. read more

My friend and I came here for pedicures, my gel manicure, and her eyebrow waxing. We were impressed by the overall appearance and feel of the place. so airy, light and welcoming. The equipments are new and modern. The shop flow and work areas are not crowded. You will feel relaxed, pampered and not rushed in this place. I hope they keep it that way even when they become busy. We came Wednesday morning. The service is another thing. I love my technician, THI, just love her. She was very thorough with cleaning my toenails. She also did a great job on my gel manicure. Uncomfortable experience . Employee seemed to dread being at work , rushed through the appointment after upselling me. Poor quality gel/polish. Scrub/massage was below average. Did not bother complaining in person because there was nothing that could be done to have turned the experience into a positive one. This has always been my favorite shop in Tracy sadly up until today. My first time never leaving a tip and my first ever bad yelp review anywhere. My nails already look grown out and I just left the shop. This was the worst customer service I've ever had here everyone's usually very nice and talkative very good customer service she didn't even introduce herself or just a simple hi. When it came time to do my French tips it was very obvious that she was frustrated with me because I kept asking her to change them because they didn't look like the picture I had shown her, then when I compared each nail to the other hand and the tips were very different and I asked her do they look the same very clear she was frustrated with me. Not worth $65 dollars at all I'm so sad because I could've gone somewhere else that would have did a wayyyy better job:( read more

Absolutely love this salon. When my usual nail salon was super busy, I decided to try out Merry Nails & Spa, and I'm so glad I did. I've returned 3 times to be sure my review is solid. I absolutely love the variety of options for a pedicure and appreciate the service breakdown of what you're paying for. They're honest people in telling you what they think would look better with your nail type and finger shape. They're gentle but are thorough when taking care of your nails. I just had a pedicure here and would not recommend this place. After sitting down the lady kept pushing for me to get gel instead of regular nail polish. That was really uncomfortable and not a good start to what was supposed to be a relaxing experience. She then mentioned my heels are dried and asked if I want her to scrub them. I said sure thinking isn't that part of the routine? At the end I was charged an extra $10 for the "service". I don't mind paying extra if it was done well. Except she did not do anything that other places don't normally do without charging more for it. Lastly, she was very rough and the experience was painful. I would not return to this place. read more

This is my first time going to this nail salon. I've been to other nail salons here in Tracy for a pedicure and by far this is the best one! The place is peaceful, relaxing and clean. The nail technician who did my nails was super nice and did an amazing job! Initially I was going for more of a really light pink color, but my nail technician recommended me a different pink color and I absolutely love how they turned out. I am definitely coming here again! I came here because it was close to my home and I wanted to try something new. I chose a simple design just in case it goes bad, which was just a French straight tip. It was very simple to place an appointment which I appreciate. The 2 stars is for the service given, I don't think the quality was there for such a simple request. When getting my nails done, I noticed how dirty the station was of my nail tech. The acrylic smelled bad and the towels smelled unclean like it's been left in the washer for a few days. I didn't like the shape of the nail and there was a lot of acrylic piled on top. I was cut with the filing and if you notice some of the nails are lopsided. I'm not sure if short nails are more difficult to design, but I was not pleased. I don't want to disregard anyone's positive experience however I was not satisfied and had to go to my regular nail spot to get them shaped and filed correctly. It's still fairly new, so I'll give it some time before I return. read more

Love this place!! Great customer service. Came here with my sister and Alex and Dylan were the best. This is my new salon.

This is the only place I trust to see my feet and take care of them. This is my second time getting a pedicure at this fine establishment and they never cease to amaze me! The staff really takes the time to scrub your feet and remove the dead skin to ensure that your feet are smooth and look incredible. Most people are reluctant to schedule appointments with salons due to the gossip and judgmental environment, but this salon is not one of them. I've also gotten acrylic sets done here twice by Dylan and he knows exactly what he's doing. Walk, don't run to this salon! ***They have massage chairs for you to relax in while getting a pedicure!
