Fantastic set done my Tina at G Nails. Her and Kieth have always gone above to make my dream nails come true. Highly recommend this spot. Great prices, amazing attention to detail, and overall great people. Their salon is always clean and relaxing. I cannot recommend them enough!!
Best Nail Salon in Davis. GO HERE!!!!!! They are understaffed because of the pandemic, and as a result, do not do walk-ins, but by appointments only. You can easily get an appointment for the next day. My appointment was for 12:30, was seen right away, and I believe I was out ~1:45. I made an appointment for a mani/pedi, no gel. Not only did Keith give me a long and strong massage, hot stones that were actually hot, callus removal, lotion, hot towels, cuticle care, etc, but watching him effortlessly put the polish on, in seconds, was so satisfying!! We talked the whole time and he told me about his kids in college and their career goals and aspirations, along with how hard it's hit their business during the pandemic. It really makes you want to support this business, like many Davis locals do. The female nail tech was super friendly as well, smiled and asked how my day was and asked what shape I wanted, asked how I liked it throughout her shaping my nails as well. They accept cash, card, Venmo and Zelle. Entire treatment was $43, without tip.
Update: just want to show you guys how good it looks a month later. No peeling or chipping, just grown out they did such a careful job shaping my nail to what I wanted. They're always so good to my nails and do such a good job with gel, it lasts for a while (3 weeks) the only reason I get them redone is bc my nails grow out. Annnnndd all for $25 love th
I've gone to G Nail twice for dip nail extensions and had appointments with Tina, and both were very pleasant experiences! It took 3 weeks before I had any lifting and needed a fill and I work with my hands a lot so I was surprised. Tina always makes sure I'm happy with the nail length and shape, and always does an amazing job!
I went there to remove my acrylic nails. The lady didnt soak my nails first, instead she tried to take it off brutally by using other fake nails. THIS IS NOT THE PROFESSIONAL WAY TO REMOVE ACRYLIC!!!BUT THEY SAY IT'S OK !!I told her it hurts so she soaked the other ones remained. I asked her why she didn't use it at first, she said because it takes too much time to remove it. (so she rather makes her customer feels extremely painful than using the proper way)After soaking my nails, she used the drill and accidentally went to deep that hurt my actual nail. It was too painful that I screamed and told her to stop. The guy (manager?) asked me to leave and told me this is how they remove acrylic nails. i went to other nail salons in davis and they said what she did was a total bs and she was just trying to save her time. Look at my nails they look so awful. No apologies. No compensation. But ask me to leave with a really bad attitude.
3 weeks later and still going STRONG! These nails just won't quit. I have a lot of grow but I'm rolling with it because not a single nail has chipped. I'm not sure how they did it. I'm super active and not the most careful person in the world and they're in great shape.

Nice people, they stayed an extra hour past their closing because they were backed up and my friend and I happened to have the last appointment. They didn't rush us because they wanted to close. Got acrylics with gel and came out to $40, gave me a $5 discount since it was my first time there. A couple of my nails had bubbles, the sides weren't painted all the way through, left a big gap between polish and cuticles, and the acrylic was SUPER thick. It looks good in pictures, but I'm super picky about my nails. I'll come back, but only if I absolutely have to. I'd rather go back to SF and get them done there. read more

Got my nails done for the first time after moving to Davis by Tina at G nails. Fiberglass overlay, matte black with nail designs, needless to say, my nails came out beautiful! Better than I expected, which is rare because I am super picky. It's a family run business tina, her husband Keith, and her mother (didn't catch her name) are all great at what they do. They take pride in the quality of their work. I didnt feel rushed, they took their time to get to know me and worked to a level of detail that is rarely seen in the hustle and bustle of busy nail places. Tina has an eye and steady hand for making cute nail designs. I've lived in many different cities ranging all over bay, and in the valley from Roseville to Sacramento, so I've had many different nail places... A lot of trial and error, so I am so glad I found G nails. I will definitely be a returning customer. read more

Awesome. First nail salon I've been to that didn't just run the drill over my nail because it had to be done. They take the time to shape everything and make sure everything is done right. They even use different solutions so you can soak your acrylics off just like shellac instead of the ripping and tearing. I'm pretty picky about my nails - thin, short, natural - and the guy asked at every step if I wanted anything different or changed. If I did, his response was "Easy" and never made me feel guilty for making him put in extra work. I've paid twice what they charged me for half the expertise at other places. read more

Went in to get a gel manicure. I was going to just get a solid color until they showed me this new custom color that they call falling leaves. Really awesome looking. Comes in three different "leaf" colors. I got the red/orange version. They did a great job on my nails! read more

I had a great experience at G Nails! I was very impressed by the big selection of colors, especially for gel nails. Both Keith and Tina worked on my nails, and took their time making sure that I was happy with length, shape and my nail design. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing. Overall it is the best experience that I have had in any Davis nail salon. Definitely recommend G Nails! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I have been to several nail shops in Davis and g nail spa has the best costumer service, nail color selection, and quality in the city! The main nail stylist there is very sweet he takes his time to make sure you leave with very cared for ! More than worth the money and at a great location ! read more

I'm giving out 3/5 start to this location. I would given a 4 start but theirs some few things. I went yesterday to get my manicure & pedicure after searching a lot places in yelp since I'm new in the area because I work. I live in the Bay Area and I drive 1 hr to the nail shop I always go to. But this time I was let's give a tried to another shop in Davis. I pay $60 including tip, first at all I don't know why they always complain when your nails are short. I like to have my toes nails short. Pedicure was overall good just the nail polish it seems I apply it myself than them. Yesterday it good but today looks like I did. I go for my pedicure tropical and manicure the dashing. I had an appointment at 5:30 and waited around 15 min which was okay gave me time to use my colors. Later in the night I realize that my manicure they didn't completed how it's describe. I didn't get the hot stone and warm towel with 10 min massage. I had Keith he's very nice but with my manicure felt he was rushing because someone had been waiting for 20 min already. He didn't do none of the things I mentioned before. I will give them another chance just for manicure maybe. I'll come update in 2 weeks to see how my gel manicure end up. read more

Got gel nails done 9 days ago, and although I had called the day before and made an appointment for 5:15, I was taken at 5:50. The nails looked great for a few days after. But then they starting peeling exactly on the 7 day mark. I'm disappointed, gel stays on my nails for 2-3 weeks minimum before it starts to lift and peel. read more

I first came here my freshman year, and ever since, i have never gone anywhere else for quality mani/pedis and service. I came here because of a visit to another nail salon in davis(i won't say where) completely botched up my french manicure and was so painful that I had to have the acrylics taken off ASAP. the lady at g-nails not only carefully took her time to take off my acrylics without causing more bleeding, but also gave me a hand massage with hot stones and towels that made me feel better instantly, and my nails didn't look as damaged as i worried they would be! they have specials very often for their pedicures, i often get the tropical pedicure because it goes from $35 to $27 when they have specials going on during the winter. HIGHLY recommend their tropical pedicure, do it when they have specials! what's great about this place is that when you need your most recent manicure removed, they only charge $10. but if you get a new manicure done that very same day, they no longer charge for the removal, but simply the manicure. so instead of $10+$25, they only charge $25. great job on saving college students money on luxury. massages-i've never gotten a massage here, but my friends have and they said g-nails is great! service-great, they always make sure to ask how I want my nails filed, rounded or square, they ask me as they work on them if it's to my liking, and make sure to ask if i see any errors before leaving. cleanliness-amazing, I never find any nail polish stains on the ground, I always see them clean the pedicure tub right after a customer has used it. nail polish colors-great selection, none of the nail polish looks more than a year old, they also have a huge variety of acrylic and gel designs read more

I'm honestly disappointed I wanted long coffin nails and I got mishapen potato looking nails this is honestly work I could have done myself at home my nails jus look super unprofessional and are just funny looking I've been getting my nails done for the past 3 years and I've never left a salon so upset and the worst part is I let the woman know I didn't like how the shape was going and she kept dismissing it as if it would alll come together at the end but it didn't if anything just looked worse at the end she couldn't tell I was unhappy and asked me if I liked I said I honestly didn't like the shape and she ignored me and said it was the color but it's not the color is beautiful it was the unprofessional work that was done. Ans staff I've known there for years knew I wasn't happy and didn't do anything to help I splurge 50$ to 100$ when getting my nails done but work like this shoukd b free my money should be refunded I was still charged 45$ read more

Always happy with my gel manicures and pedicures here. Have been coming for a few months now, and I've never been disappointed. Everyone is so friendly here and you can tell they really care about their customers. I'll definitely be coming here for years to come. I recently got a new gel manicure (called Illumination, see pictures) and the top layer was starting to peel. I came in for a pedicure a week after getting the manicure and didn't say anything about it, but Keith remembered me and wanted to see how my nails looked so I showed him. He immediately offered to fix them free of charge. Great customer service. read more

Great atmosphere and positive vibes. I'm a pretty indecisive person when it comes to getting my nails done, but they definitely helped guide me in what would look best on me. I asked for a more sophisticated design this time and they did an amazing job! They didn't have all of the materials I wanted as was in the original design, but they compensated for it with great precision! Will always go back again read more

KEITH is amazing!!!!! I wish I still lived in the area just so I could go to him! By FARRR the best nail salon in Davis, and I can't imagine any nail technician being better than Keith. He completely repaired my nails with vitamin stuff, and the gels he did lasted beautifully over a month! He also stays up-to-date on the absolute latest nail trends, and was the first to use this awesome metallic chrome gel; I got sooo many compliments. He is a painstaking artist, as sweet and accommodating as can be, and the salon is super clean and sterile. Definitely hope to see Keith next time I'm in Davis! read more

Keith and his staff are the best. They totally pampered me and fixed my nails from my botched manicure at another near by nail salon. He gave me exactly what I wanted on my nails and I am in love. Didn't Catch the girls name that did my pedicure, but she also did an amazing job. They both really took the time to make sure I left satisfied and happy since I walked in there disappointed from the other nail salon. Definitely coming back here again and no where else. read more

Best nail salon in Davis in my opinion, super friendly and always leave satisfied and feelin great about my fresh gel nails, and at a great price too! They can be busy sometimes so call ahead or give a yourself a decent time frame...LOTS of gel colors to choose from, about 400 and working up to 500!! If you're indecisive like me, go there with something in mind or you will have a real hard time deciding on color(s)! read more

My friend and I made an appointment to get a mani pedi and the second we came in they were really nice to us. There pedicure are amazing and they are very nice people to talk . Thanks to Tina my nails came out wonder full I got full acrylic gel set and it was my first time and I was really nervous but when Tina started doing my nails they were ready coming out really good. These people are so kinda and really work with you to get exactly what you want and they are very understanding about time as well! Their menu includes many different levels of treatment depending on your budget and your time and they do their best to make sure you are relaxed. I'm sitting on the message chair getting my normal French tip pedicure as I write this review. Let me just say that this is the best nail salon I've been to so far. The massages are relaxing and they use heated rocks! (Something I've never experienced before). The French tip is clean and beautiful and I'm hoping it lasts for at least a month like most of my French tips do so I'll keep you all updated. The cost for the pedicure was affordable (~$25) and the service was so friendly. They even let me sit on the message chair for a while longer to let my nails dry! Even the atmosphere was great, the music relaxing and the area clean and aesthetic! Will come again! read more

So I have enjoyed getting my nails done until yesterday! I had my acrylics taken off and I asked for a manicure. The person who did my nails forgot to put the top coat on which made my nails chip! I'm so angry- I've always been a pretty damn good tipper and this just makes me so mad. I'm a regular and you should at least make sure you put a top coat!! read more

G Nails is by far the best nail salon in Yolo County. I am very particular about my nails and I refuse to go to anyone other than Tina. She always takes her time, pays attention to the details, and makes sure things are perfect before I leave her chair. I honestly wouldn't dream of going to another nail salon! If you are looking for high quality, nice people, and great service then G Nails is the place for you. read more
