OKAY THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST MANI/PEDI I'VE EVER HAD! SHOUT OUT TO LENNA AND LEE. While I was in town visiting my sister, I decided to get my nails done. I looked up places on Yelp and came across this one, so I decided to give it a try. I called to inquire about their availability, and they responded that they were able to take me that day. Upon getting to the nail salon I was greeted by these two wonderful ladies and immediately loved their customer service. Lee did my dip powder manicure. She was very detail-oriented and very accommodating. She frequently asked if I liked my nails and if something needed to be fixed she would take care of it right then and there. I decided to go with a baby blue color and when I tell you she exceeded my expectations, SHE DID. I usually dislike getting my nails done because they either come out uneven or the nail tech cuts me but Lee was so meticulous AND she was quick. My pedicure was done by Lenna. She was so gentle and careful with my feet. She would also ask me if I liked the shape, color, etc. I really enjoyed my experience here. Whenever I'm in town I will certainly be coming back. They advertise stuff they don't actually know how to do. Then they don't accept that they lack the skill. No apologies nothing after wasting your time. I asked for a cat eye gel as offered in their options. She said yes and got to it. Then when it was time to actually make it "cat eye" she skipped the magnet and pretended that she forgot that I wanted cat eye and tried to finish it up with a regular gel, I reminded her. Then she tried working the magnet and said well..it doesn't work. Not I'm sorry I can't do it or I'm sorry can I do a different one for you, just blamed the tool and when I asked her have you done this before at all then she said it works sometimes. Um what? LOL. I was super impressed with this nail salon. I called in the morning to see if they take walk-ins and they had availability for me in 20 minutes which was awesome! I got my current acrylics removed and gel put on instead and the entire service was ONLY $40 which I was so surprised by. I kept asking to make sure it was correct because other salons charge over $40 just for gel and this time I even had acrylics that needed to be removed. I think that this is so insanely cheap especially in comparison to other places. I paid $40 + $15 for tip so $55 in total. I don't know the name of the woman who did my nails, but she did fantastic. This week was pretty tragic-- on top of being already in dire need for a fill, I snapped three nails in three consecutive days bumbling about my daily life. I thought I could hold off until the weekend, but somehow I managed to break another one opening my laptop :( Desperate times call for desperate measures!! I rushed downtown and found Looking Good because of the great reviews. I called around 6 for a walk-in and they were still willing to fit me in despite being so close to closing hours. Coming in on a Monday evening, I was the only client in the salon. They finished my nails within an hour; both fixing and the fill! Beyond impressed with the speed-- I'm sure closing factored into how fast she worked, but I appreciated that she still did an amazing job on my nails!! My nail tech was Ivy. She was gentle with my hands and always checked in with how I was doing. She didn't charge extra for the fix, only the cost of a standard fill! I'm thoroughly impressed with the service here. After class on Thursday, my friend and I wanted to randomly get our nails done. We were going to go to a salon nearby but they were booked so we came here and I'm so glad we did. We both got our nails done by Cindy and she was amazing. Despite having to switch off between my friend's and my nails, she was very good at making sure each of us got the full service we needed from her. We shared conversation and a couple of laughs as well. She made sure we were happy with the shape, length, and texture of our acrylics through each step of the process. My friend got pink and silver glitter coffin acrylics and I got faint gray stiletto acrylics. During the drying process, I accidentally bumped my ring and pinky nails and Cindy said "No problem, I can fix it" She did and it looked as if the bump never happened. The other ladies working there were very tentative and nice to their clients as well, making sure we were comfortable and even providing some snacks. All in all, our experience here was amazing and we can't thank Cindy enough for giving us a memorable time there. read more

I came to get some gel acrylics removed which were getting too long for me. The ladies were friendly in answering all my questions and concerns. Ivy helped me with my nails and she was not aggressive at all in removing the acrylics. I did get a little scared when she was fixing up my cuticles because those are sensitive for me but overall she did a great job. It was $10 to removed the acrylics and then I also wanted to get a gel manicure. I think the gel manicure was supposed to be $25 but she took $5 off and told it would just be $30 for removal and the manicure which was really nice of her. The manicure came out great and it was very even. Overall it was a very pleasant experience here especially since it was my first time and I really appreciate the quality work! read more

Never come here for waxing! It's horrible!! I'm sorry I don't remember the name of the lady who did the wax for me, and I really should've asked. I actually just asked for an underarm wax, and I've had that so many time before. Never bleed before, but this time she made me all bleeding!!! First, she blamed that my hair wasn't long enough for wax, and that's why she only had an extremely small amount of my hair removed. That was BS! I did wax periodically, always waited until the length is sufficient! Second, she claimed the blood comes from the root of my hair. Maybe yea, in some areas, but definitely not underarm. Seriously, the lady pulled my skin every single time using her tweeze! And she refused to admit that because I wasn't jumped off the table. Are you kidding me? This is by far my favorite salon in the whole area. Constantly good quality nails. I've been going here for almost four years now. Any technician here will give you quality service. I feel like part of the family and thoroughly enjoy this salon. I usually get gel manicure on a natural nail - so many colors to choose from!- but have also done dip powder nails many times - just as many color choices and they last so long! Gel manicure lasts me two to three weeks and dip lasts about four to five weeks. Pedicures are also wonderful here, they use the disposable liners and everything from the scrubs to lotions to hot stone and warm towels are wonderful. Although the ladies are very, very nice, they just lack the skill to do a good nail job. I should have asked to see their current beauty license! I think most of the good reviews are on hair. I'm really disappointed I spent $48.50 (they charge 50 cents if you use your CC which, if you check with your CC company it is probably against their policy) and wasted 3 hours of my life on this crappy nail job. I got a full set, gel. I asked for it to look natural with rounded corners. I asked her for rounded corners twice. What I got were some jagged, pointy corners, uneven edges, some gel gaps on the sides of my nails, and my right pointer finger nail was noticeably longer than my left pointer finger nail and the left pointer finger nail was way shorter than all the the rest. So, needless to say, my pointer finger nails are now shorter than the rest. She also cut me. Additionally, a lady came in while I was getting mine done to have hers redone because, in her words, "they looked weird." Her original nail technician happened to be the one that was doing mine. Now I'm not surprised!! I went in the next day (today) to have them fixed. The lady who fixed my nails did a decent job except for the paint job and she also cut my finger while using an electric nail filer. As you can see in my pic, it's fairly sloppy, even my BF asked if she painted my cuticles when I sent him a pic. Don't let the reviews deceive you, unless there's another nail technician who can do a better job, I'd avoid this place like the plague. I guess unless you wanna get your hair done. I'm seriously considering going to another salon to have them taken off. Waste of my hard earned money but I am NOT happy. read more

Service was nice. The ladies made conversation when she found out I could speak Viet although their English is very good. I came in for a fill because G-Nails didn't have their worker who did acrylics in that day. It was my fault for not asking ahead of time but while she was filing off the color, I asked how much a fill was and she said $25 for a fill + $10 for gel... It's definitely $25-$30 elsewhere but they kept trying to insist that nowhere else charges less than theirs. But I decided to let it go since it seemed like the lady, Cindy, was careful with her work and I don't mind paying for someone who takes their time to make sure it's good. I appreciated that she didn't rush and file my skin like many places I've been to. However when she put on my gel color, it was not what I picked and also it was way too thick, which makes it look really unpolished and jenky. Idk if it's Bc other customers came in and she wanted to finish the color quickly or if that's their technique but I'm definitely not happy with the result. I wouldn't come back since the prices here are higher than most and they don't seem to be experienced in gel polish. I did appreciate that she was very accommodating when I asked her to fix the shape of some of my nails. Overall, come for the service but expect a subpar set of nails. read more
