Referred by a friend, G&V Tree and Landscaping Services did an incredible job renewing my entire front lawn while working around and improving all the tree and garden areas with new mulch and edging. Last April the sewer line broke just inside my front wall which required the line leading to the county sewer connection to be uncovered, replaced, and back-filled. This left pea gravel and grey stone from below the line interspersed with Virginia clay allowing weeds and moss to take over the yard. Mario took his time assessing the situation, discussed the various problems, then made two recommendations and due to the extent of the damage I went with sod. The soil preparation, attention to the existing garden areas, quality of the sod, and irrigation system left for two weeks afterwards has given me an incredible lawn which continues to receive compliments from those who walk by. The crew worked hard the entire day and paid attention to detail leaving without any evidence of the work that had been done. I will be contacting G&V shortly for recommended summer maintenance. G&V removed two trees, both stumps, and hauled away all debris. The job was $2380 total. G&V was the lowest of three estimates. They were pretty responsive via email (my preferred method of comms). Before hiring them, I found they had a 15% off tree removal deal on their website. They applied the discount to the tree removal portion of the proposal. The day of the service, they were scheduled to arrive between 8 and 9am. They arrived at 7:30am and got right to work. One large branch hit my gutter on the way down as I left the house for an appointment. When I arrived home after the service was done, I found that they had someone work on the gutter to fix the damage. I was glad to see they addressed it without me asking. The entire job took 4 hours total and they did a great job. I would definitely hire them again as long as the price is right. read more

Hired G & V to remove one large maple, trim a rare pecan situated on our adjacent neighbor's property and thin an old, well established magnolia. The offer was in line and slightly lower than their competitors. The two reps met at the house, at the pre-arranged time, were courteous and above all knowledgable! We have been customers of G&V for tree work for a long time. For this job, I needed major landscaping work done. Because the soil is so poor, I requested at least 10 yards of topsoil, about 2-3 inches by my estimate. The contract included 6-10 yards of topsoil. They delivered about 1 yard and it was used just to cover the seed, about 1/16 inch at the most. There are many spots that I had to reseed because nothing was coming up.I would not recommend you use G&V because they do not deliver what they promise. Buyer beware. read more

I had a very large oak that needed trimming. I got several quotes and G&V were the lowest. They were easy to schedule and communicate with, showed up on time, were professional, and did a fantastic job. I have had several trees trimmed over the years and they did the best job and were also the lowest price. A few of the quotes indicated they'd need a bucket truck to complete the job, costing more and also limiting scheduling availability. It would have also required me to ensure several neighbors' cars were moved. G&V didn't require a bucket truck and completed the job thoroughly, safely, and quickly. read more

G&V has excellent customer service and better work. I contacted them about replacing my lawn, as my old lawn was overrun with weeds and brown spots. G&V quickly came out gave me the best price of the 10 vendors I contacted. When they replaced my lawn they were efficient and courteous to my wife. They cleaned up and took care to leave their work space better than they found it. Unfortunately, the lawn they put in browned up pretty quickly even though we watered and did not cut it for 6 weeks. When I contacted Mario, the owner, he quickly had G&V come out and replace the lawn. The new (new) lawn is doing well, and I cannot recommend G&V's services highly enough. If you do not choose G&V, you are making a bad choice and deserve to lose your money. read more

Yesterday, they removed two diseased Plum tree's, including stumps, and pruned nine others, including three large Maple's, a River Birch, and a Bradford Pear. Re'ne and his crew of three showed up on time, got right to work after checking in with me, and I don't think I've seen a group work so efficiently. Later on, a fifth worker showed up with a self-propelled stump grinding tool. After the work, they cleaned up so well I couldn't even tell they had been there, except for two missing trees, and nine others professionally pruned and shaped.
