I didnt commit then but called Monday (day after snow storm) . told him I had already cleared my front and sidewalk, but needed help making a walk way in my driveway in the back and small pathway in area between two cars, in the front . He quoted $300! which I thought was insane . He came to location and said $200. I was desperate as my unit faces the back and I have a dog . had meetings and guests too so agreed. the first picture is what I expected (sent him this pic prior) and the second pic is what he did. he Left before i could see the finished work . When I called to complain the work he did was not worth $200 , he yelled at me for changing our agreement after he left and hanged up on me. I didn't want to have any issues , so I did pay him the $200. I just want to give an honest review because prices and quality of things are inconsistent and customer service (at least this time around ) was bad.

Samco was one of the few companies to respond when I sent out inquiries recently about having my…read moredriveway (which was about 50+ years old) replaced. After some email contact, Sam Jr. and I got in touch, and he came out to give an estimate. Despite the age of the driveway, he said it was in decent condition and said there were 2 options. I could resurface the driveway at a cost of about $4.50 a square foot, or we could replace the driveway at an original cost of $7.00 a square foot. We went over the pros and cons of each option, and it made more sense (given the age of the driveway) to fully replace it. When he gave me the written estimate, he had knocked a bit of the cost off, and it was down to about $6.10 a square foot. He knew I had some other contractors scheduled, and was polite about it. Later that evening, he gave me a call, and since they were going to be in the area on a job, he was able to get the price down to about $5.00 a square foot. At that point, I jumped on the deal, as that price was only a minimal amount more than the resurfacing would have cost. Sam and the team showed up on time the day of the appointment and went over things one last time. Their work was professional and quick. They take care to ensure straight edges, and that cracks (such as between the garage, porch, and sidewalk and the driveway were filled in. They also elevated the driveway a touch as the grass line was higher that the original driveway. But there is still plenty of slope for the driveway as well. We got some strong storms last night (and overnight), but the driveway was bone-dry this morning, instead of the usual puddles and lakes that would form after a storm on the old driveway. I would peek out at them as they were working, and Sam was always fully involved working on something, including getting down on his hands and knees when needed to check a spot or correct something. Their clean up was just as thorough and professional, and Sam gave me all the information needed for letting the driveway cure given the hot days we've been having. All in all, I'm highly satisfied with the job they did, and would highly recommend them for any residential paving need.

I asked him to do an assessment of some recent landscaping that I was disappointed with and to give me an estimate for remaining work. He told me in writing (two emails and one text) that he was going to do the assessment. It was important that he do it by a certain timeframe for a dispute with my credit card, and he was aware of that. He had from Aug. 9 through Aug. 17. Because of him, my allotted time ran out and my claim was denied. That means he cost me $3,400. And he left me no choice but to now go to small claims court. I strongly recommend against him and his company.

We paid Nolan and his crew of 3 high school students $2,000 for approximately 3.5 hours of work. He did directly express to me that finding qualified "help" was hard and that his staff did not know the difference between a weed and a plant. I can attest that it is true that he does not have a qualified staff. On our contract was for the following: yard cleanup (removing sticks, leaves, pre-bagged debris), mulching edging and weeding beds, aerating the lawn and seeding, and two mows. He asked I pay in full before the work started. Which I did. I should have known better. I generally trust people and this experience has taught me otherwise. The photos showcase the state our yard was left in. He did not pull any weeds, simply weed whacked and covered with old dried out mulch, left entire areas full of leaves and debris, failed to fully mulch the beds. He destroyed many of our annuals, with weed whackers and despite promising to make it right and replace them, never did. He was hostile, impolite, and non responsive despite many attempts to ask he simply execute on the work that was promised to us. This was a big expense for our family and I felt stolen from. I ended up doing the work myself, buying an additional 48 bags of mulch to account for the mulching that was not done, and replacing the plants that were ruined. If not for the quality of the work I would advise against using this company on principle alone - Nolan is not an honest person and I hope you are not the next person to lose money to him.

We recently redid our walkway leading from the driveway to the front door. Below that was poorly laid sand and cement, which left us with the pile of debris you see. It was too big of a job for us to do ourselves so I went out to Yelp for a quote. Jeremias was friendly and offered competitive prices for the job. They showed up at a reasonably early hour (8am) and worked diligently to clear away the debris. By the time they were done, I couldn't tell that there was ever a pile of crap to begin with. All in all, a fantastic job for a competitive price. I will be utilizing them for future jobs.
