When the snow began to fall, I quickly shoveled off my porch, walkway & driveway. My plan was to pace myself & repeat the process a few hours later but unfortunately, my plan didn't work as I fell asleep! When I woke up to return to shoveling, I heard ice coming down. Upon going outside, the ice was already stuck-frozen solid-and kept coming down so I figured, "Oh well." That "Oh well" quickly turned into a frigid "Oh hell" the following day. Even with the sun shining, the ice was stubborn & my house being situated on the shady side of the street also didn't help. Days went by & I dealt with it because I was warm & toasty inside & had plenty of junk food to keep me distracted. But then I realized that it was time to get my car warmed up & on the road so that the engine oil didn't thicken too much; that's when the frustration AKA panic set in. I couldn't find anyone to remove the ice! Sure, I neglected to buy de-icer at the hardware store a couple weeks before the storm, but I never NEEDED it in the past & I don't think anyone was truly prepared for Ice-mageddon. So I started Googling snow removal companies & that's when I found Benitez Landscaping Pro Services. I was apprehensive about contacting the company as there weren't many reviews to check out & those that were available focused on lawn care. But then I saw a couple 5-star reviews praising them for their snow removal services during the same winter storm & that's when I knew I had to hire them. I sent photos of what needed to be cleared, received a reasonable quote (hefty but reasonable for what was performed) & they were at my residence in no time! I complemented the lady I spoke with via telephone when the gentlemen were wrapping up the job at my home, telling her that it was such a relief that they delivered the services I desperately requested in such a timely fashion. I saw the temperatures dip and I bought a dethatcher to get to work. I set this weekend aside to do the work. I scheduled another company to come do the aeration. I spent Friday afternoon and Saturday morning mowing low and dethatching. At 2:30, the person supposed to do the aeration told me their machine broke. It was scheduled to rain at 4pm so I was a little frantic. Luis was able to fit me in at 4:20 and his team got to work. Luckily the rain held off. As they were aerating, I was overseeding lol. Started to drizzle as we were all finishing up. I managed to lay down some fertilizer just before the rain intensified. I can't thank Luis enough for doing such a last min job and considering it was just to aerate. They drove all the way from laurel just to help me out. More than the work itself, I really speak to the kindness he showed. Even when he arrived, we had a very nice conversation and it was just overall a nice exchange. The…read morelatest project was removal of a haphazard wire fence (with "plumbing pipe" supports!) entangled with overgrown brush that probably hadn't been touched in 30 years. Mr. Moreno's crew spent days hacking down the brush and digging out huge root balls so that a new wood fence could be installed. The transformation in the look is nothing short of amazing! Neighbors can't help but pause and look. Once the wood dries out a bit, the crew will return to stain and seal it - but it already looks fantastic. Walter kept me informed every step of the way and was patient and creative in working with my next-door neighbor to navigate some decorative cinder block on her side, and her plantings. He was also creative in fence design to deal with my neighbor's yard being more than two feet higher than my driveway. W&M Services gives great value for the price - Highly recommend!

He was the only one, out of 5 estimates, to FaceTime with me when he had questions and not just text a picture or send a wordy email. Once hired he moved fast! And when the mulch we wanted was out of stock he took pictures of what our other options were, before purchasing or guessing. He also took fantastic after pictures to make sure we had a good feel for what they did and lended advice on how to best maintain it (many would just waited to charge you for another visit not help you understand what your yard needs). Pricing was very fair especially based on the 4 other estimates we received. I appreciated that he itemized each task so we could pick and choose what works best for your budget. Overall I would highly recommend Josh and his crew. I myself won't hesitate to use him again in the future.
