Based on the amount of body damage on their company van, not the first time either their employee fails to yield at a stop sign. I have a small front lawn, 16x26'. Very disappointed after paying for their 7 step program for two years. Second year same dismal results. Size of the lawn should not matter. Repetitively calling 'Complete Lawn Care, LLC' to come back to either reapply or do something else that will keep the lawn in the condition expected of a lawn service. Fungus, brown spot, sporadic weeds, etc. By end of July/August for the 2nd year in a row, 65% of the lawn is lost. Cannot attribute to dry hot summer. Summer of 2020 had plenty of rain. I had a huge lawn when I lived in VA Beach and the local lawn service was able to keep on top of it for 'show lawn' quality results throughout all seasons. 'Complete Lawn Care, LLC' should be able to adapt to the changing environment throughout the seasons and not blame the weather temps/precipitation for poor results. In September I was asked if I wanted aeration and power seeding. Absolutely! given the poor condition of the lawn since June. However, I requested this next service be free of charge due to my dissatisfaction to date. 'Complete Lawn Care, LLC' offered only $25 off its $125 quote. That did not make me feel like a valued customer. I declined and stopped service. Will look for another company that can provide better care and attention to my lawn throughout all seasons at a value earned price. read more

Two very large Bradford Pears on the sidewalk completely covered the front yard steps and front door when big hurricane hit metro area. It was a big job and CLS removed every branch and twig and leaf. Left the front yard squeaky clean. Very impressed really. Top notch job and then some. They are the best. Could not ask for a cleaner transaction. They are very nice people too. Wish many other businesses would behave as honestly and forthright as they did. The swamp would rock. read more

We inherited complete lawn care when we bought our house and discovered that they installed the sprinkler system. They have been there for any and every issue with it. Tess is awesome, friendly and calls you back with answers. We recently sold that house and moved 20 miles north. I couldn't find anyone to come out and do a mosquito spray! Guess what!! TESS and the Mosquito expert (with all natural essential oils) came out within the hour of me calling them (granted this was a little luck that he was in the area) but WOW! That was awesome. I have been trying to contact Complete Lawn Service to discuss work that they did but they have not responded to my phone messages and emails. Complete Lawn Service was contacted to take the steps needed to eliminate standing water in the back yard. They wrote a proposal of over $4,000 for trenching, piping, and other drainage work. The proposal was accepted and Complete Lawn Service did the work. From the time they did the work we were not happy that it did not eliminate drainage issues. Rains have left the back yard completely flooded and both trees and grass have been killed by standing water. I would not recommend this company for drainage issues. read more

I used this lawn service for years until I switched to a start-up service run by one of their former employees. Complete lawn is ok, but they seem to have enough customers that they can actually refuse new business. As you might expect, they are pricier, less flexible, and, while their customer service is friendly, they are less responsive than my new guys. Lawn service is not brain surgery, so there is no need to go for a big company like this if you can find a small, competent company with lower overhead and thus better prices. We have been using Complete Lawn Service for over 10 years. My lawn always looks great. Last year I started to have them mow my yard. It is so nice to have someone show up to mow the lawn on the same day each week. The people they send out are so nice. They really want to help. Periodically we will have them do special projects. Someone will come out and look at the job. They give me a quote and then come back to do the job. When it snowed last month, my snowblower wouldn't start. I called Complete Lawn and they came by and cleared my walks and drive. I am thinking about having them do my snow removal whenever it snows. I know I can count on Complete Lawn Service. read more

My Complete Lawn Service experience: 1. Hired them in 2012 to take care of a tiny lawn. Took 10 minutes to mow, but I travel a lot and didn't have time. 2. After a few months, noticed my bill was running $150 - $170 a month. 3. Called them to discuss. Was told I would have to talk to a billing person (Annie). No one else was/is able to deal with billing. 4. Emailed Annie about concern that price was too high for small lawn. 5. Annie suggested fewer services. We emailed back and forth. I asked if they could do bi-weekly mowing instead. Was told they don't mow bi-weekly. 6. Emailed asking them to cancel my service and send me a final bill. I mailed them a payment at the same time. That was in September 2012. 7. No response to my email. I moved to a different house. Forwarded my mail. 8. In March, 2013 -- six months later -- received email from CLS notifying my bill was now $500 (yes, that's correct), I was in arrears and would be sent to collections unless I paid. They claimed the bills they were sending me had been returned undeliverable. 9. Emailed them back asking why they never emailed or called me. Asked for a final invoice. Got one. Was charged a $100.00 termination of contract fee plus monthly penalties for non-payment. Essentially they just let the charges pile up. Never took the time to respond to my September email and say "Hey, we sent you a bill, it came back, what gives?" Worst customer service experience in a long time. $500.00 for a tiny lawn. Might want to avoid them. There are other companies out there -- Alexandria Lawn, for example -- that do the same quality of work for a lower price. And offer bi-weekly mowing. read more

We selected Complete Lawn Service to install our irrigation system and couldn't be more pleased. All of their personnel - from the office administrator, to their VP, to their on-site people have been extremely professional and responsive. These were our reasons for selecting Complete Lawn after requesting proposals from 3 companies: * They responded immediately - called to set up appointment, followed up with email confirmation, and re-confirmed the day of the visit. * Larger, more established. Russel Stout is a certified residential irrigation designer. On his initial visit, he took time to measure and walk the property, measured the water pressure, asked lots of questions, listened to us - in general was much more knowledgeable than the other two representatives who came. . * I liked the that he recommended a combination of drip and sprinkler - the other guys didn't - because I know it really is the best way to go with all the shrubs and the vegetable gardens we have. * When I asked about permits to connect to the main water valve, one of the other reps said no worries. No permit required! Stout said, we did need a permit and they took care of it. * The cost was reasonable. The new irrigation system has now been in place over a month. Here is what we observed about our experience. * They started and finished in the time frame promised. * Their people - supervisor and two other workers were friendly, meticulous, and extremely hard-working. When they finished, the ground was smoothed, the tubing covered - hard to tell where they had dug. They tested the system several times and made minor adjustments. Made sure we understood how to program the controller. They were very careful not to hurt the plants and shrubs. * We chatted with them a couple of times. All of them have been with the company over 5 years - one man 15, another 7 years.. This speaks highly of the company and the work environment. The system is working perfectly. We've now contracted with Complete Lawn Services to do further landscaping work. read more

We had a terrible customer service experience with Complete Lawn. After being pleased with their lawn care and attention, they admittedly made an accounting error in prepayment of annual services and tried to stick me for an additional payment. This was despite the fact that a representative of their company gave me a specific $ amount for a year of services. I tendered payment (which they cashed-and the cancelled check states that it was for prepay) based on their representation. I have never in all my years of dealing with contractors had a company quote me a price, I paid the price, and then halfway through a service agreement tell me "We made a mistake, you actually owe us X". But the implications were much more severe: they implied that i was dishonest, that I was not a worthy enough customer that they would eat the cost, and put me and my spouse through several days of emailing/phone calls over a few hundred dollars. Finally, we had no choice but to terminate the agreement. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer (one who paid on time over multiple contracts) in my life.
