My experience with TLC Inc. was a very positive one! I had a well/cistern that was leaking onto my lawn. Apparently the drainage system had deteriorated over the years. Mr. Drew Hall came out to look and discuss the project. When we later met at TLC to discuss solutions, Mr. Hall clearly explained what has to be done and showed me photos of a similar project. Mr. Hall also worked efficiently with my town's public works and the county agency to create a system that was satisfactory for all. As the work progressed, Mr. Hall diligently kept me updated. Excellent work... I had a problem with my sprinkler system making loud noise when operating...woke me up early in the morning. Routine maintenance techs had no idea...but said they would talk to supervisors. Following spring system turn on, tech said he was unaware of previous report of noise, and did not know how to fix it. Sonn after I called the Customer Service staff. They quickly apologized and sent "most experienced" tech out. He did several tests, confirmed the noise was not right. He determined that there were bad valves that controlled the zones where the noise was coming from. He returned a week later, changed out valves and problem solved! read more

They came to my house to give an estimate on some repair work and installing a new sprinkler zone. They quoted the work at $4800. I got a second opinion. The new company showed me that I did not need a new zone and I could just adjust my current sprinklers to cover the areas that I was missing and did the repair work that was needed for $235. Contractors often come into my neighborhood and see the value of the homes and Jack up the price. I'm glad I found an honest contractor and did not take the TLC quote. read more

We contacted this company to repair and restore our irrigation system back to full working order. They gave us a quote for full repair and replace. When they came out to do the work the installer said he did not bring enough supplies to complete the job and the office scheduler said they would return on Monday. They never came back. The office continued to call saying we need a "new zone". We have made no changes to our yard, there were no new zones requested. The zone in question was previously there when the quote was provided. The individual that provided the quote did not do so by zone reference and now we have a partially operational sprinkler system. The crew that they sent tried to make a side deal with my husband and when we did not want to go outside of the quote provided we got an incomplete job. The company would not acknowledge there error of their employee, they kept trying to insist we pay more for a "new zone" that was always here. We would not recommend this company. This company wanted $2,000 to change 30 sprinkler heads, none of which cost more than $5-15/piece no matter where you buy from. There is no world where it makes sense to pay $2,000 for someone to install 30 sprinkler heads which screw on like bottle caps and are super intuitive to adjust. I went with another company in the area who offered to do the same work for almost half of that amount. And if you don't live on the opposite coast from your rental like me, do it yourself. You won't be sorry. To be clear my review does not speak to the quality of installation or service from the people who work there. I think they are just doing their jobs. But I am simply speaking to exorbitant quotes that do not make sense given the scope of the work. Shop around for sprinkler head install. read more

I'm a builder of single family homes in Bethesda and over the past 20 years have worked w/ numerous other irrigation companies. A builder recently suggested I try TLC so I hired them to install irrigation at my own house. Then today, they finished a job at a house I am building. I am happy to say that the work ethic of the guys they sent out was AMAZING. They arrived on time, actually earlier than I expected, started working immediately, didn't spend time chatting w/ each other or on their cellphones and got the job done quickly and efficiently w/ no muss or fuss. Wilder, the crew boss installed the controller and left me w/ a diagram of exactly what areas would be watered on which days and for how much time. Last but definitely not least, I should mention that the salesperson I worked with and the office staff were excellent. Michael Hannegan, who handled the sale, couldnt have been more accommodating to my schedule and my needs. At my house he suggested running a drip line around certain plants instead of spray heads. When I ended up not liking the drip line system, he replaced it w/ heads with no questions asked and no charge! Was looking a quote and sent the guy a simple email from the internet form but the form didnt specify garage size or anything at all- just a free-text. Anyways he emailed me back all rude and said if I was "serious" about a quote I needed to give more info... but he didn't specify what info he needed and frankly didn't even address me by name or ask any questions. That's as far as I will go with this company I mean I can paint my own garage for free and I won't even be rude to myself. I love the floor. They did a great job installing the floor as far as I can tell. However, they emptied out the garage by literally piling (not placing) everything in a POD in my driveway. The result was damaged property for which they ignored my request to rectify. When they "organized" the garage upon completion, I had spilled paint, spilled gasoline, and a massive pile of things in the middle of my garage. They also had not actually finished the job. My new work bench was a piece of duratop laying loose on rolling cabinets. Locks were not installed on cabinets as promised. Far from complete and far from organized. They apologized and two weeks later, came out to rectify the issue. They fixed the work bench, cleaned up the paint/gasoline. Two months after they promised they'd finish, I'm doing it all myself. And when I'm done, I guess I'm going to have to repair all the things they broke while moving items in and out of my garage. Bottom line: Not worth more than the garage floor install. I have loved this floor if I had been able to get someone to honor an appointment to come out and give me an estimate. The first appointment was canceled the second time the representative just didn't show up even though it was scheduled and confirmed via email. That's a shame. I wanted my pool deck surface coated and a friend was going to meet us here to discuss the coating of his commercial garage and the car wash he owns. Their lack of commitment and or communication cost them three jobs in this case.
