Horrible customer service. We had an appointment- they did a NO call, NO show. Then I had to have 2 appointments so the cost was $700 to get my sprinkler system up and running. They never checked the rain feature and wanted to charge me additional $130. Did I mention that you have to call over and over and over to reach someone and no one returns messages. read more

I have been a customer for many years. They opened my system this spring and informed me my controller was bad as were a few heads and the office would call me back and they would return in a few days to make the repairs. I never heard from them again. The estimate was pretty high but I did not shop the work as we had a good relationship. When I called them today and asked why they never came back 6 weeks later (and 100 degree heat) the person who answered had an attitude and set me off with his indifferance. I answered to him that they never f&@ing showed up again and do I need to call someone else. His answer was he told me to take my business elsewhere and hung up on me. It sounded like the customer service guy may be someone's kid as he should not be answering customer service calls. I contacted Chesapeake Irregation and they were $300 cheaper for the unit and about the same price for the wintering. They also said they would come right out to do the job. The person was polite and easy to speak to. I have moved my business away. read more

The automatic irrigation system that Atlantic Irrigation installed for us is wonderful and is a real boon to help us stay in our home as we gae. Their after-installation service is just as good. Their technician was here because I had realized that the sprinklers were not getting my new marigolds watered. He made the necessary changes,and now all is well. However, he did not stop there. I had planted flowers in several locations, so, without my asking him, he checked to be sure they were all being watered as well. Well, one litlle patch of hibiscus was not, so he fixed that as well. Atlantic designed and installed an irrigation system for our very challenging yard. They managed to quickly install a very high quality system that included getting under multiple obstacles in an established landscape. When they were finished, you could barely tell they'd disturbed even one shovel full of dirt. We've been running that system for a week, and it is functioning flawlessly. They cheerfully and clearly explained how everything worked. Listened to every concern and request we had, and every member of the crew was highly professional. This was the first time using this company. For 25 years I have used a competitor that could not do the repair I needed. Called Atlantic they got me on their schedule ASAP. From beginning to end, the process with Atlantic was outstanding. Ian, the sales person, explained the process to me, explained the options and delivered a design that exceed my expectations. I don't often write reviews, but the experience today went above and beyond and was absolutely worthy of the time for feedback. The technician arrived wearing a mask, and kept a distance standing off of the front steps. Atlantic Irrigation installed our sprinkler system We just had our mid-season irrigation check, performed by Ricardo, and what a consummate professional he is. We had our siding replaced a couple of months ago, and the siding installers did not securely attach the controller box to the new siding. Ricardo immediately secured it properly without a mention. He also noticed an area where the siding crew had damaged the grass, we had spread fresh seed, and gave advice on a revised watering schedule to improve the chances of the seed taking. This prompted questions from me about a flower bed and he quickly assessed to provide feedback. In summary, this experience solidified that we picked the right irrigation system provider. I hope that they will send Ricardo for every appointment, because he is simply the best. read more

A leak was discovered shortly after an opening, Atlantic was notified of the issue. It was clearly discussed that no work would be performed unless an estimate was provided. Technician informed me that he would repair and discuss with management. Repair consisted of 15 minutes of digging, an $8 part and a short section of PVC; (1') and a coupling. I was notified it was $261. After being a customer for 12 years, this is the service I receive. I attempted to reason with them on the repair, there was no reasoning, it was 1 way..I suggest shopping around and finding an outfit thats not just in it for the $$$ but actually works with you...Guess the $261 was well worth it for them, and a loss of a dedicated customer that was under contract each and every year...Disappointing.. read more

I contacted several companies to get a new irrigation system installed. Atlantic was quick to respond to schedule an appointment. The appointment was thorough and included what would work best for me. I was given all of the options I could take and did not feel pressured to include any options. My irrigation system has been installed and I am happy with the professionalism I received from day 1. My entire system was received with me during the initial appointment, one the day of installation, and again after it was installed. read more

Contacted Atlantic in Feb to get an estimate on a new irrigation system. They responded right away and Ian came out for estimate. He walked the property and checked the supply. Following the visit, he wrote a complete proposal and say down with me to walk through all the details. It was an extremely detailed presentation and it was clear Ian knows what he was talking about. I ended up getting another 6 estimates and Atlantic came in right in the middle (a few less or more expensive), but went with Atlantic as I felt comfortable with as he had no issues answering the many many questions i had.On the day of install, the team arrived and quickly got to work mapping everything out (which Ian had done earlier and they verified). I told them about my cable and drain lines. They then mapped those out using additional equipment. They marked everything and started digging. Between hand digging and using the cutting machine, the team was able to install the entire system in a day. The pipes/controller/valves were all installed very neatly and cleanly. What really stood out was how they run the wires from the valves to the control box. They buried all the wires and when they went into my house, they used the correct electrical conduit. Inside my garage, they even routed the wires and AC adapter cable inside my wall, which makes for an extremely clean look. Lastly, they left a hand drawn map of the system. I was initially worried about thus, but, the map was drawn very nicely. It included location of the PVB, boxes, controllers, valves, pipes, and heads - a complete system map. Better yet, they scanned it and emailed it to me in case the hard copy is damaged. overall, very pleased with the install. read more

We are new to owning a sprinkler system. A neighbor said we should have it winterized. I can't say enough positive, and kind words about Mauricio. He was so nice. He patiently explained everything about the system so that I knew what he would be doing that day. He explained everything that I would be charged for, and let me know what could wait until the spring. I'm a SAHM so I'm cautious, and it's important to me to feel safe and listened to when anyone comes there to do work. Mauricio was everything that defines customer service. The price was reasonable too! I would've given 5 stars except that when I called the office to offer my praise to the manager, she literally couldn't be bothered. She sounded irritated when she got on the phone with me, and then rushed me off of the conversation. I didn't get to say much. I hope Mauricio is a valued employee. He obviously knows what customer service means. He's the only reason I'll call there again. read more

"BEWARE of DOING ANY business with this company by all means". Dianne Flurry, President (elder lady, with a smokers voice) is very rude, unprofessional and disrespect. Tell me who calls a company to do business, and deserves being hung up on twice. To be courtesy to a customer that is spending their money, is not one of this companies guidelines. It all started when I called Atlantic Irrigation to schedule an appointment to have one of of my sprinkler heads replaced. The answering service is terrible , no one ever answers the phone, so I left several messages. Two days passed, I called again only to speak with one of the most evil,and wickiest people I have met in a very long time. I was transferred several times before speaking with her, and when she answered she had a very nasty undertone. I mentioned my name, and said that I wanted to have someone come to my house to repair a sprinkler head that my gardener damaged in error. She replied, "did we do you winterization last year" I said no, I had another company do my winterization, however, your company installed my system, and I felt confident with your company making the repairs. Dianne Flurry, replied, "well why aren't you calling them back to do the repair work. I replied "that I felt comfortable with your company during the repairs, and is this request going to pose a problem. Diane replied "no that's not going to be a problem, but let me check my calender. She returns and said "My next appointment is May 4, I replied, do you have anything sooner because I really need to water my flowers well before then. She said No..I replied "can I be placed on a wait list" she mentioned that the wait list has about twenty people on it waiting already. That's when I said, "this was pretty much the reason why I used another company last year!! My statement was only to help her recognized that maybe more help would be great so that customers needs would be met. Instead I received, "I'm the owner of this company, and I am taking your name off our schedule because you are very confrontational.....First of all, Miss Owner,Im not being confrontational, I am just giving customer feed back. Something that MOST grateful companies appreciate. But instead the phone went dead, because she hung up. Any company that does not value me as a customer,one who has spend over $7000. with them, is a company that I don't need to support. Reflecting back on my day of installation, the workers were late, and the foreman of the job tried to inflate the cost on me and not honor their original quote. Too note, Diane seemed partial to minorities, she was rude, disrespectful, loud, over zealous, over confident and under-minding. She owns the company mind you. She a great leader, from her actions I can just imagine the example she set for her staff It is terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE that people like her are issued license to even operate a business. read more

I called them and spoke with the owner regarding sprinkler system spring turn on. I asked him what the service charge was. He gave me a quote way out of line with FMV. Normally, a charge for turn on is around $105. He quoted over $160 plus charges for additional zones. All of a sudden these type of sprinkler system companies are attempting to charge for zones above a certain amount. I think eight. He became very rude, angry and hung up the phone. Horrible interface. No interface skills whatsoever. I'd never ever recommend this chump or call ever again. Neva! read more

Mary handled the whole process very professionally from beginning to end. When she first visited the property she took her time and hand drew a diagram of how the irrigation would be laid out onsite! I had three different companies perform estimates and none but Atlantic Irrigation provided even close to amount of detail. Once the install began, the foreman was very courteous and professional as well. He addressed any questions and concerns I had. He walked me through how to operate the system and they were finished in under 2 days in the middle of the summer. I 100% recommend this company and would most certainly do business with them in the future. read more

Originally the installation was great - a bit expensive but they had come recommended from a trusted friend so I used them anyway. Have had some issues regarding sprinkler head washing away my mulched beds and asked to have them please space the heads further apart - I was given several explanations as to why my request was wrong but since I persisted they moved them (however - I am still having the same issues and my system was installed last year -2017) I also requested that sprinkler heads be moved - I changed the configuration of my raised beds and after some discussion the representative and I agreed on a fee of $200.00 - he originally said it would cost over $300 since it would take time and they charge $150/hour. However - we still agreed on $200 - he became somewhat short with me and explained he had other appointments. 45 minutes later - that's how long it took to do the job he handed me a bill for $307.80 - which of course I questioned since we agreed on $200. He got nasty and I just gave him a check for that amount. I have texted his supervisor for almost 2 weeks now to get no response even though I went through the entire scenario of what took place and he said he would look into it. When I was looking to highlight my trees and landscape I was thinking a Christmas light effect and was advised by Mary to consider subtle LED lights at the base of my trees and I saved money and the ambiance I would have destroyed had I not listened. Back in 2018, I posted a rave review about Atlantic Lighting & Irrigation for the fantastic job they did in designing and installing our irrigation system. I want to reaffirm how great this company is, and give a particular shout out to Mary Singler. We recently had an issue with or lawn and the lawn treatment company was blaming it on our irrigation system. Mary came out to assess and ruled out the irrigation system as the culprit. But, she didn't just stop there. She was with us for almost 2 hours to help figure out the problem, and she did! She caught an issue that our lawn treatment company should have detected, and that's because she brings a lot of expertise to the job and she cares about her customers. (BTW, it did not take her 2 hours to identify the issue; she was helping us with other issues as well--again a testament to her dedication to her customers.) Thank you Mary and Atlantic. Excellent company. We had an irrigation system installed and our yard is not the usual expanse of lawn but a little trickier due to changes in level and large shrubs that can block the spray of water. Mary did a great job of choosing and locating the sprinklers, explaining the plumbing and wiring process, and getting the crew started once the job was awarded. Everything was done very professionally. I love the system they installed and the price was fair. Someone always answers the phone. Communication by email is good too. They were always on time. We recently had landscaping lighting installed at our home. Atlantic also does our irrigation system and has done so for over 20 years. Mary Sears, the engineer designed an excellent lighting system, not offering too little or too much, always tasteful. She invited us to hers and the owners' home to see their lighting which convinced us after visiting her home. We have tall trees in front of the water and it was important to have the lights shoot up to the canopy of the branches. This company, unlike many others uses an integrated lighting system (can't take bulbs out but need to replace the fixture). This type of system, allows for warm but powerful lighting to reach tall branches. It cost slightly more but we found it a value compared to other companies who wanted to attach lights on the trees and use posts The lights last 40K hours so replacement was not an issue. We had gotten several other estimates. The installation was flawless. We had a team of five men who worked constantly and were very professional. Henry the foreman was accommodating when we were ambilvant about using an astronomical timer. Programing was difficult and I had to contact the manufacturer who walked me though the settings with no problem. They co-ordinated our spring irritation system turn on. Atlantic came when they were scheduled and did not leave until my wife and I were satisfied. They cleaned up too! We would recommend this company highly. If after reading this, if you wish to see our lighting we would happy to show you though arrangements made by Mary. Another reviewer described an individual being rude disrespectful etc. This was not our experience. This is the most professional and courteous irrigation company in the area! We watched several of our neighbors using other, lesser companies come in and install sprinkler systems over the past few years. When these other companies came out, they were slow, looked confused, took forever and used cheaper hardware. When Atlantic came out, it was like a swarm of professional bees. The installation was crisp, organized and they used top notch quality products. But even more than that, the before and after customer service was even better. They send out top notch people to advise you and plan your installation and pricing. And afterward, they come out and help you program your sprinkler "brain" and answer any other questions with courtesy and expertise. I feel that many people probably go with the cheapest contractor they can find and then they pay the price. When it comes to digging up my yard and burying lots of piping and heads, I want to know the job is done right and with the highest quality of materials and craftsmanship.
