The owners were incredibly professional and took the time to walk me through the entire process, which I truly appreciated as a first-timer. Because of the value of my items, they were also kind enough to return everything to me after about 60 days, which I found to be very thoughtful and fair. Although my focus this visit was selling and not purchasing, I can't ignore how great their selection is -- they have some really nice pieces. I also love that they use Facebook Live to promote items and that they operate two locations. And as a women-owned, Black-owned business, that's an even bigger reason for me to continue supporting them. I plan to try consigning again next season once I go through my wardrobe and decide what I'd like to bring in, and on my next visit I'll definitely be shopping too. I highly recommend checking them out -- whether you're buying, selling, or both.

Low and behold (thanks to the 3 previous yelpers that left reviews), I stumbled across this GEM of a shop! Now, I'm typically not one to purchase from or shop in consignment stores. Nothing against them, but they just never seem to have anything of interest to me. And when I do find something I like, it's usually not my size, so I'd just resolved that these shops are not for me. But when I stepped into New Digz, surprisingly, there were multiple items that I immediately fell in love with! This spot is definitely NOT your typical consignment shop. From the moment I walked in the door, the ambiance was that of a modern and contemporary boutique. From the dresses carefully chosen for the displays that greeted the new customers in the front windows, to the furniture, the layout of how things were placed, the adorable selfie station, and (most importantly) the inventory. Everything about this place MADE you want to buy something before you walked out of the door. I had to remind myself countless times that I was actually there to drop off items, not bring home items, because there was plenty there that I wanted to take with me. From purses, jewelry, scarves, shades, shoes, and even clothes for the kiddos, this place had some of everything! Now I will say that for me, driving to this place was a bit of a hike being that I live right outside of DC, but I must say that it was well worth the drive. Additionally the staff's energy level, and interaction with both myself and other customers was AMAZING! I'll definitely be back!

A polar experience, a different day, a different planet. Let's accept that that one day was just a remarkable exception. Today, super helpful, friendly staff who shared specific and potent ideas about color matching, contrasting and blending fabric v. leather etc. We left smarter, with guidance and great direction re a sofa we really like, in a great fabric on view, and chair we might equally. If you like this type of furniture styling, then Georgetown and Tysons shops are winner. ----- Stars for the service- lack. Lovely scandi-modern furniture if it is to your taste. High end prices but not atmospheric. Service, super, on our day, if your goal is to browse without sales interruptions. That is, ignored is bliss, if sought. But we needed some. And when we sought attention-- a tear sheet, a question, an anything-- no ability to get an acknowledgement from any of the salespeople. Not a one. Perturbing, to say the least, to a thickskinned shopper. Quite liked an Osaka reddish sofa, tufted with angled arms, there but that's a Bo sale likely lost, as there were as friendly sofas we liked at Room and Board, with available nice folks. Super.

He said it was very expensive. I looked very closely at the materials and mentioned that it was not real wood, either MDF or Particle Board with veneer as well as made in China. My friend said that is impossible as he was assured it was real solid wood made in Denmark. I said to him, I will cut part of his furniture and if it is not MDF or Particle Board I would buy and replace it. Lo and behold it was Particle Board. I have yet to find out what my friend did after I left his dinner invitation.

It was barely used and was in excellent condition, but for some odd reason the cushion was sinking. I figured, if I got it reupholstered to the color of my choice and had the cushion replaced, it would be good as new. I took to my handy dandy Yelp app and did a search and Mill End popped up. I'm familiar with the shop, since a family member worked there years ago, but I had no clue they did this type of work. I gave them a call and was told to bring in a picture to evaluate the chair because they didn't want me to be without my chair for a long time. Well, I thought bringing in the chair itself would be easier, since I wasn't in a hurry for it. I was greeted by a very knowledgeable staff member who gushed about how beautiful the chair was. She did an evaluation of what would be needed to repair and reupholster it and then showed me the fabrics that were available in the color I selected. They have a large variety of fabrics on-sight in the store, but they do have options that can be ordered. The one I selected was on-sight. We agreed upon the estimated price, I filled out some paperwork and I was out the door. It was literally that quick and simple. Since they have a pretty extensive client list waiting for their projects before me, my estimated date for the chair to be completed was about 2 months or so. To my surprise, I was called about a month later informing me that my chair was ready. I arrived and was extremely pleased with my brand new chair. The workmanship was beautifully done and the cushion they replaced was perfectly placed. They did such a phenomenal job, my parents wanted their chair back. Lol! Not on my watch! Yes, Mill End is a bit pricey, but so worth it! They're truly professionals. I'm planning to get my dinning room chairs reupholstered in the near future, so I made sure to get an estimate while I was there. I'll absolutely be back in the near future.

Do not trust them with your valuable rugs. If you look at my other reviews, you'll notice I very rarely give a one or even two star review. We have been trying to get our rug back for a whole month (starting two weeks after the day it should have been done) and for the past week the storefront has been closed with no warning or way to contact them. They have not responded to emails or phone messages. We are now moving across the country without our rug because they are unable to return it to us. At this point we'll probably have to seek legal action just to get our property returned. Look up their MD business filing, read the common thread of similar bad reviews. These people will not provide you the service that they promised. We brought them our ring on 6/1/23 they said it would be done 6/15. They evade the phone and when you go in person (if they are even there) they say their machine just got fixed or some other excuse. Update 2: the company finally contacted me and said they would ship my rug. I will update my review once I have received it and evaluated its condition. Would not recommend this place. Brought in my rug over a month ago and was told 14 days. Still have not received it. Even paid in full because they said they would deliver it last week. I've attempted to contact them multiple times. When I went in person they gave me the same excuse that they gave a previous reviewer. The equipment was down for maintenance. Wanted to keep it local and go w Beiler's, but their customer service has become horrible. Had three unreturned voicemails, dragged my toddler and newborn in the freezing cold last Saturday (only day they're open) to meet w them since they don't return calls, and set up a site visit so they could assess our property. This site visit was supposed to be today between 11-1, and at 12:45 pm, still no call ahead to say they're in the way. The guy who answered the phone at their other location said "Oh that happens all the time" regarding the late or missed appointment. Asked him to call me back when he got in touch w his driver, whom he was apparently unable to reach at that time as well. Still no call back and no nobody is picking up the phones over there (during business hours) and now the vm box is full. I'm sick of practically begging these guys to take our money (and in the middle of a terrible economy due to Covid, no less). Clearly they don't need or want our business, so now we are looking to take our money elsewhere. I understand they likely cut staff due to Covid economics, but clearly too many were cut bc they can't handle the customers.
