Great! The people were really nice and helpful. I'd definitely go back. I went for lumber and hardware supplies.

Lowe's Home Improvement

Lowe's Home Improvement

I've lived in DC for seven years, and unfortunately, I've become accustomed to customer service…read morethat can often feel dismissive, defensive, or simply indifferent. So my experience at Lowe's genuinely took me by surprise--in the best possible way. I worked with Enrique in Kitchen Design, and the level of service he provided was truly first-class. Despite being a very young professional, he was incredibly patient, attentive, and genuinely interested in helping me get my kitchen design right. He asked thoughtful questions, listened carefully, and whenever there was something he wasn't certain about, he had no hesitation in seeking input from his colleagues to make sure I received the right information. What impressed me even more was that the excellent service wasn't limited to Enrique. His colleagues were helpful, his managers were helpful--everyone I interacted with seemed willing to assist and genuinely cared about the customer experience. I honestly couldn't believe I was receiving this level of customer service in DC, let alone at a large home improvement store. Enrique and the entire team completely exceeded my expectations. This is what great customer service should look like. Well done, Lowe's--and especially Enrique!

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the numerous problems I…read morehave experienced while attempting to purchase products from Lowe's, both online and in person at the Washington, D.C. Market Street store. For reasons that have never been adequately explained, I have been unable to successfully place orders through the Lowe's website. The only way I have been able to order products has been by telephone, which is both inconvenient and unacceptable in today's retail environment. Customers should be able to rely on Lowe's online ordering system to make purchases quickly and efficiently. The day before my visit to the store, I purchased more than $600 worth of materials for delivery. My order was accepted and processed, only to be canceled the following morning because the items were reportedly out of stock. Some of the items in my order were supposed to be shipped from the New Carrollton, Maryland, Lowe's location, yet those items were also canceled due to a lack of inventory. It is unacceptable for Lowe's to accept and process an order without accurately accounting for available inventory across its stores and distribution system. Inventory availability should be accurately reflected before an order is accepted and payment is processed. Canceling an order of this size the next day due to a lack of supplies demonstrates a significant breakdown in communication, inventory management, and customer service. As a result of Lowe's inability to fulfill my order, I was forced to travel to the Washington, D.C. Market Street store in an attempt to purchase the materials myself. My experience at the Washington, D.C. Market Street store on July 16 was equally unacceptable. I waited in the lumber aisle for more than 40 minutes attempting to receive assistance. During that time, I spoke with two Lowe's associates and explained exactly what I needed. Neither associate appeared interested in helping me or cared enough to ensure that I received the assistance I requested. Despite my repeated attempts to obtain help, no one ever returned to assist me. It is incredibly frustrating to spend nearly an hour waiting for assistance only to be ignored. The complete lack of customer service demonstrated by the sales associates was disappointing and unprofessional. Customers should not have to chase down employees or wonder whether anyone intends to help them. I left feeling that my time, my business, and my concerns were of little importance. The combination of an unreliable online ordering process, a canceled delivery order worth more than $600, inaccurate inventory information, and poor in-store customer service has left me questioning whether Lowe's values its customers and their time. Consumers should not have to navigate multiple obstacles simply to purchase products or obtain assistance when problems arise. I am requesting that Lowe's corporate office review the customer service practices and operational procedures associated with both its online ordering system and its inventory management system, as well as the customer service provided at the Washington, D.C. Market Street store. I would also appreciate a prompt response addressing my concerns and outlining what steps Lowe's intends to take to improve the customer experience. I have been extremely disappointed by the lack of consistency, professionalism, and basic customer service I have encountered throughout this process. As a customer, I expect better from a company of Lowe's stature. I sincerely hope that Lowe's will take these concerns seriously and work toward providing the level of service its customers deserve.

I am a property manager (25 years in). I have worked with many contractors over the years. However…read morethis was a big deal for me, because this was my own home. (Not that i didnt care about the other it just became much more personal to me). I can honestly say that Julio's painting company has been one of the best I have ever encountered. It is my practice to gather estimates from several company's , Julio was one of the 7 that showed up and wrote up a proposal. He was the 3rd lowest in the group, but what put him to the top, is that i needed someone to hang a chandelier in the foyer and he wrote it into his proposal, while others wanted to charge separately with additional fees. I always find it Leary, when contractors try to make allowances to charge you more with their "IF something happens" or "IF more time or material is needed". You know what i mean. I just want one straight up number (amount) and we are good to go!! He also took his time and made lots of notes when he did a walk through. You could see that he truly knew his "Work"! We hired him and he and his crew showed up a week later right on time! They were there for Aprox 3 days repairing and fixing the drywalls sanding it down and then painting (walls, ceiling, trims and doors). They then took a day break, because we had our household goods delivered. (Yes, they were very flexible and willing to working with us). They restarted the next day and by day 5 they were all done. During the job, my husband and i set up camp in our basement, so we wouldn't be in there way, however whatever encounters we had, he and his crew were very respectful, accommodating and mindful of there presence there. They cleaned up at the end of each day. On the day before completion, he had us walk the house and gave us painters tape to mark any areas of concern. They showed up the next day and addressed every nicks and scrapes that we tagged. On completion, we were extremely happy and satisfied with the job they had done. So Pleased that we contracted him to do the Exterior of the home. They power washed the walls, gutters, siding and even my windows. they then painted all the trim and areas that they had power washed. They did such an AMAZING job that two of our neighbors have already requested a referral. I cant say enough about this company and Julio. We are extremely greatful that we contracted the RIGHT people for the job and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

He took the old one down and realized the new one had a different style of mounting bracket. He had the whole job down in under 45 minutes and the end project was clean and professional looking. Will do more work with them again in the future. I also like that the price never changed. They quoted me $149.99 when I first booked and that's exactly what I paid. They didn't try to sell me on a harder job for more money.

I hired FixTman and do not recommend them to anyone…read more They outsource their work, and communication was very difficult. The handyman Ali Kharamesh was scheduled to arrive at 8:00 a.m., but on the day of the appointment I received a text saying his car broke down and asking if he could arrive between 12-1 p.m. He eventually showed up with an additional handyman, which I never agreed to. All three closets were built incorrectly in the exact same way and did not match the reference image or instructions. When I pointed this out, I was told it must be a manufacturer defect. He throw away pieces of the installation without consent. The closet manufacture confirmed it was incorrectly installed. There were incorrect drilling and the back board was all incorrect. I contacted FixTman customer service and was told to call the manufacturer and that FixTman would pay for replacement parts. However, the store's only option was a full return, which I accepted. FixTman sent another handyman Chris the next day who looked at the previous person's job and told Nihal he could not fix it because some of the primary tools that came with the closet were missing. After that, FixTman - Seattle attempted to charge me extra for the additional handyman I never approved. I was initially promised a full refund, but later received a call offering only a 10% refund instead from Nihal. This company does not stand by its word and does not take responsibility for poor workmanship. I am still trying to obtain the full refund that was promised, and they are unwilling to honor it. Avoid this vendor at all costs. The company proceeded to deny my refund and I filed with Thumbtack who saw the incident gave me $284 fully back.
