    Water damage to ceiling

    I write this review with much regret for doing business with Wheeler's Ace Hardware. Initially, I reached out to Ace's Hardware to repair my bedroom window screen and patio screen door. I was so impressed with the level of care and professionalism from that job that I began to ask what other services they provide. I began to speak with him about re-caulking my bath tub and fixing my tub spout that had come out from the wall. He took a look at my bathroom and ensured me it was something that can be done and added me to the schedule. Fast forward, Andrew and I believe Stepphon was his name (another tech) arrived to my home on May 15th. They workes for about 2 hours doing the re-caulk and fixing the spout. The work wasn't the neatest but satisfactory. It was better than the broken down caulk from before. Later on that evening, I took a shower and the spout popped out from the wall again. I called the next morning and Mike answered the phone and I explained the issue. He stated he would dispatch Andrew and have him reach out to me. Andrew came over on the 16th of May at 4pm and replaced it with a new spout which took him about 20 minutes. To my fault of being busy, I took his word for it and thanked him for squeezing me in. I went to take a shower about 45 minutes later and noticed that water was leaking around the spout. I said to myself, it's no way he could've missed this. Rushing for work, I took a quick shower because I didn't have time to call him back. To my surprise when I came downstairs, water was leaking in several places in my ceiling. My carpet was wet and there was damage to the ceiling in the exact location of the tub. Not only that, when I showered my tub was filling up with water as if it was stopped up. I honestly believe that they rinsed some of the debris down my drain. Total disregard for my property. I left a message around 6:30 that evening but no one responded. I called the next morning and Mike answered. I explained to him what happened and his response was, "What do you want us to do about it?" Baffled by his response, I expressed my disregard for his rude behavior but he continues to be rude and condescending even alluding to the fact that this was a pre-existing condition. His suggestion was that I hire a plumber because they can't do anything about it. He then begins to say the only job he sees in the system is the job for the screens and begins to ask me if I even paid because he doesn't see my payment. Seeing that I wasn't getting anywhere with him, I asked if I could speak to his manager. He said that he is the manager. I then asked to speak to someone above him, the boss that he has to answer to. He said he doesn't answer to anyone but God. Livid at this point, I told him how unprofessional he was, that there was damage to my living room and he laughs and states, "Oh there's damage to your living room now? Ma'am I have other calls to attend to. You have a good day," and hangs up on me. At this point, I'm just at a lost for words and numb to the disrespect and mistreatment I experienced. I contacted Fabian the store manager who agreed that the behavior was unprofessional but nothing was done about it. I then spoke with another assistant manager and nothing was done about it. Both managers said they would contact Mr. Wheeler but I have yet to hear from any of them. TODAY, May 18th, I had a plumber come out and what do you know, the tub spout placed on by Andrew was placed without a gasket on the inside which caused water to leak through the wall and around the spout. Incompetent work and a rushed job is what caused this mess. Take my advice, don't use them for any household jobs. RUN! They don't take accountability and they try to make their customers out to be liars. Mike, since you only answer to God, may you answer to Him for falsely accusing and mocking me, being condescending and unprofessional when you were in a position to correct a wrong. Attached I have proof of everything I have spoken. Don't just take my word. The pictures speak for itself. People may lie but evidence doesn't!

    I needed a new barbque grill in January as I grill all throughout the year. After researching & deciding on a Weber model, I found that Ace Hardware had it priced much lower than everyone else. However the ONLY Ace Hardware store that Ace' website would let me order from is 14 miles away from me as supposedly they had it in stock. Closer locations were not available to me. Well, I called Wheeler Ace & a gentleman answered the phone. His name is Sean or Shawn, and he identified himself as the store manager. Long story short, he had only the floor model to sell me. None in the warehouse & none coming in. He was gracious with a discount for the floor model, gracious, kind & courteous throughout our many phone calls on a Friday. In the end, I had to rent a Uhaul trailer to pick it up. Shawn/Sean made everything go smoothly. He was so helpful & really excelled at customer service. The other employee at the location greeted me as he walked by. The store is spic & span clean and organized. If you need a hardware store & want to be treated right, Wheeler Ace is your place.
