I came in to look for outdoor deck cushions and a storage bench. I've been looking and had already been to the other store. They also had what I was looking for so I just needed to make a decision. I like that the deep cushions for deck furniture comes is sets. They sell the deep cushion and the pillow together. They have an array of colors. While here I went to the plant clearance section. YES! Lowe's has plants on clearance! I always go check it out. I was trying to figure out the prices when the gentlement escorted me to the sign. Doh! I do not typically write reviews, but for my move and remodel, I chose to purchase carpet from Lowe's and have it installed. However, they had to come twice to measure because they did half the job the first time. Once all the measuring was completed, which took 3 weeks, I was told that the carpet could be installed in one week; however, that was untrue. The carpet took 3-5 weeks to arrive. I was not told that timeframe. I had to call three times and was told three different things. I decided to buy a different carpet and get someone else to install it. The delivery was supposed to be the next day, but again the order was delayed, and no one knew why. I had to wait an extra day to receive the delivery. The sales team and the delivery driver were great; however, the service afterward was insane. read more

It took three staff members to figure out why they couldn't process a return for my storm door, even though I had the email receipt and the order number sticker on the door. They scanned the barcode, and it came up in their system--but they still couldn't return it because it had been delivered from the Waldorf store. Apparently, since it was a special order (34" x 81"), it had to go back into that store's inventory. What's the point of shopping at a nationwide retailer if returns are tied to individual store inventories? It feels like they care more about their internal systems than customer service. My advice: never place special orders for delivery--have your contractor pick them up instead. Ironically, I'm returning it because I don't even need a "special order" size after all; I just needed a standard 32" x 81" door. read more

My experience at this Lowe's Home Improvement store was positive. I shopped online for the product that I wanted. It was convenient to comparison shop online to compare products and prices. I made my purchase and selected curbside pickup. A few hours later I received an email saying my order was ready. I drove to the store and parked in a number space. I entered the space number in the confirmation email. And then a few minutes later a store associate placed the item in my vehicle. It was a great shopping experience for me. read more

We ordered 80 bags of raised bed/garden soil around a month ago. We only received 30. When we called the store, they basically said "oh we meant to tell you, we have a separate delivery coming". We had to reach out first. They said the delivery was coming the following monday, I had to reschedule for Wednesday and got a confirmation that Wednesday worked and that the other 50 bags were going to be delivered. It is now Wednesday. I have not heard ANYTHING from the store. I have called the store, spoken to the manager, and everyone is just telling me "you already had the 80 bags delivered!". They said they'd call me back in ten minutes and that was over two hours ago. They seem to have no clue what is going on, nor that we had a delivery scheduled for today. We are still missing the 50 bags. I will update today if we actually hear anything or receive them. I am very displeased with the service we have received from Largo Lowes. I ordered a gazebo to be delivered, only part of the order came.. missing the roof. Called customer srvc was told that Gazebo should be delivered with separate deliveries (only 1 tracking number issued). With the roof coming a week later. Waited the week and NOTHING! Called customer service again & fedex for help on missing item, to only be told that I the customer has to contact manufacture. The number constantly rings with no voice mail! This is dragging into the third week of no help. The delivered boxes are huge and heavy! FEDEX struggled to get them to my door! Today I was only offered to bring the boxes back to the local store myself to get a refund since no one is able to reach the vendor. This is ridiculous! Welp, I went in to get a copy of a key and to my great pleasure there is a "minute key" machine that doesn't involve any interaction with staff. The machine was quick and awesome! True to the name of "minute key". I got in and got out, with a nice cooper key! You simply put your key in and the machine does the work. There are several pattern options to choose from. You also get a second key for free... or so it says... I never got my second key from the machine. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it until I got home. Avoid lowes online and this store. They have no clue what is going on. Tldr; Waited 3 weeks for a Christmas tree to be delivered only to be stood up twice, maybe even a 3rd time. Inexcusablesndnobody seems to care. Full review I ordered 2 Christmas trees from lowes online and a few other items. Truck delivery scheduled for 2 weeks later. Email sent saying delivery is on track. Receive a call 30 minutes before saying they would arrive. Seems like a 5/5 experience. Trucks pulls up and the guy hands me a small box with a paper on it. Paper says "2 trees out of stock". First I learned of that. Told to call main customer service number. They say a "shipling manager from the large store will call you in 24 hrs". 3 days later, no call. I call the customer service number again and they the tree is in the warehouse and ready to ship. Great! Schedule for the next day. Email sent saying 10-2 delivery. 5 pm, no trees. Call customer service number again. "The tree wasn't loaded" even though it says it was ok my account and I waited ALL DAY! Again, told someone will call in 24 hours to reschedule a 3rd time. Not holding my breath. read more

My experience at Lowe's was unpleasant. I visited the store to purchase some wood for slates. I asked the associate assigned to that area for assistance. I needed four 77 inch pieces of wood. Shockingly, the associate rolled his eyes and instructed me to put the wood in the cart. Next, he requested I push the cart to the back of the store so he could cut it for me. He combined and slammed the 77 inch pieces of wood with the 72 inch pieces (the wood was 12 feet long). I told him that I didn't need the 72 inch pieces and sought guidance on where to move the additional wood. He threw his hands up and told me to figure it out and advised I'd be responsible for paying the full price. Paying the full price wasn't the issue. I felt like he should've taken the 72 inch pieces of wood back to wherever they belonged. Unfortunately, I decided to request a manager. I asked the manager if it was standard practice for an associate to have the customer load wood in a cart prior to servicing. The manager said no. Long story short, I received 15 % off of my order. So, instead of giving this Lowe's location a 1 star rating, I'll give it 3 stars. read more

I just had the most upsetting and rude encounter at the floral area with a sales associate named Shirley. I went in today to bring back two hanging plants and small potted annuals that died. One young lady assumed I was purchasing them and begin to ring them up while Shirley observed. I told the unnamed young lady that I was returning them. Swiftly and rudely Ms. Shirley stated "we don't take annuals back before I could even explain myself and mind you no social distancing she was front and center in my face. The other young lady kindly referred me to customer service. There the associate asked the manager about the return to which she responded "Yes". If I could give this place a 0, I would. The customer service was so poor at this particular location. I couldn't believe how bad it was. As soon as I approached the people service desk, no one budged. Everyone seemed as if they didn't want to work (why come into work then?). I came to Lowe's because my bed frame needs certain size slats and I wanted to replace a few that I felt were a bit weak. I brung one of the pieces to get the correct size. They said they didn't sell the thickness or length I was looking for, which I could understand if it was true. Except I was staring at the exact one I needed, but the "cutter" didn't feel like doing work today. I had to get through 3 different people just to get to the cutter and still ended up with nothing. I then asked them if they could give me certain suggestions for an alternative way to do it or if they could give me something slightly thicker. They just shrugged and said they didn't know. I know they may not be experts, but what is their purpose if your not going to help someone improve their home? I am so disappointed in this experience. Do not step foot in this place. This Lowes has everything. The store associates are always very helpful and knowledgeable in the products. The store associates make the best recommendations to fit my needs. The store is clean. I have ordered products online and by the time I make it to the store, my order is ready. I am very pleased with the overall customer service and ease of finding products. I ordered a Refrigerator online and it has taken over a week to be delivered. The website said the item was in stock however I recieved a call from a different Lowes in VA who stated the item was going to be sent to another store to fill. This was a little upsetting. I placed an online Lowe's bath vanity order that was delivered and the vanity door was damaged. I called Lowe's customer service and they sent an inquiry/complaint to the local store. Only to find out that was the 'incorrect' method to resolve the delivery of the damaged vanity. Nonetheless, Derek/Derrick called the same day and proceeded to take matters in his hands to fix the issue. He arranged and scheduled pick up of the damaged vanity using a Lowe's local delivery service. Within 2 days, the vanity was picked up and a full refund issued to my credit card. It's refreshing to know EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE still exist. Derrick/Derek your patient, caring, friendly, prompt, and efficient customer service didn't go unnoticed. You are the BEST! The customer service is very bad. After selecting my items, I headed to the self checkout because of the lines at the cash registers were long. Self checkout was closed. They only had to cashiers ringing up customers and both had lines. I had no choice but to get in line. When it was my turn next to be rung up, he announces that he has to leave. Management instructs the cashier to leave but gives no explanation as to what is going on . Another cashier/supervisor goes to a register next to the one that I am waiting to be rung up and doesn't acknowledge me or apologize for the wait. This store is unprofessional, I and the husband have purchased a washer and dryer in September and were expected to receive delivery on October 2, 2021. Lowes reach out to us and told us that they gave our washer and dryer to another customer that was waiting before us, so we have to until the 10th for the new washer and dryer to come in. Today is the 10th and no one reach out as of yet for delivery. We called the lowes and they told us that we were rescheduled for 20th because all new washers and dryers come in all this week. Poor Workmanship that Destroys Homes! Honestly we as consumers put our hard earned money into places like this, and we trust them to do the best job possible. Lowe's had destroyed people's homes and left many homeless yet hind behind corporate laws that protect them. Case in point there is a story that is breaking right now about how a West Virginia woman and her son are suing Lowe's because of a botched roofing job that violated 3 building codes. These people are now homeless living in a 19 foot camper because Lowe's will not stand behind their work. SHOCKED is my reaction from my interaction with store employees at this location this morning (back in early August). HUGE let down. I found a sale for a TroyBuilt lawn mower for $199 and made sure to get to the store when they opened at 6am or shortly thereafter. Found the mower and needed assistance as there wasn't a new one available on the floor for me to just grab n go. Brutha working just a few feet away from me on the bbq grills didn't say a word to me. I clearly needed assistance, and if any employees cared about their customers' experiences while passing by me would've offered assistance. Not that brutha. I turned around to start walking towards him and he conveniently turned around and walked away, like he knew I was coming and cooly walked away. I thought "ok." I walked to cust service desk and along the way asked the tall white male associate for help, he looks around like he didnt have a clue he even worked there and pointed me to cust service. Just incredible. I went to the customer service desk, the two associates standing there took about 30 seconds to acknowledge me standing there and said they'd be with me in a minute. Ok, cool. I ask for assistance for a mower and the associate kinda looked around as if she were brand new there and didn't have a clue what to do. She was babbling about no one there to assist and by now my bad feeling about this started degrading further. So I said again as clearly and firmly yet patiently as I could "I want to buy a mower, can someone help me?" She said she'd find someone. Another TOTALLY unenthusiastic and rather unkempt teen without any sort of smock or uniform came over to see what I wanted. He checked his little handheld computer device and said hold on. Went looking for one only to come back empty handed. i wss so done at this point. left this Lowes, went to nearby competitor Home Depot, where I should have gone in the first place, and found an even better similar mower for $197 on the rack and some Associates nearby even offered to help me load the Box on to the cart and rolled it to the front for me and being early in the morning there was no line, and after a very pleasant interaction with the cashier I was out. I was in Home Depot probably a total of six or seven minutes and left completely satisfied. I will never again step foot in this Lowe's location. Done! What's interesting is that just a few years ago it was the other way around where the Home Depot in Capitol Heights totally sucked and Lowe's was the better place to go. That is completely flip-flopped now as Home Depot seems to have trained their Associates to be much more customer friendly and totally knowledgeable now and Lowe's in Capitol Heights is the dump with the ghetto-minded, clueless, clearly inexperienced and utterly useless employees. read more

I feel compelled to write this review in hopes that something changes and Lowes offer customers another option to purchase a new garage door. I was told AFTER I supplied Lowes with the measurements for my standard garage door that I had to pay for SUPERIOR FIREPLACE & GARAGE DOOR INC. to come out and give me a survey. Here is where my problems begin, not only did they take 6-7 days to schedule a simple site survey for measurements, they NEVER seem to have hours during any day(s) other than Friday! And the time is always between 10am-2pm essentially a morning shot waiting on a company that really doesn't care about their customers. I honestly think this really looks bad on Lowes more than Superior, because I wouldn't have called them if I didn't have an account with Lowes. Terrible customer service. My shopping days for this place, especially in the areas where sales associates are stationed, are over! I went there today to inquire and hopefully purchase a door and had to wait almost 20 minutes for a sales associate (they had to call him at least twice on the PA system). Not one sales associated was in the vicinity. Another customer was also waiting. When he got there he walked straight to the desk while watching some video or something on his phone. He put his phone down, took off his low's vest and put on his jacket. the other customer tried to stop him to ask a question. He said they didn't have the part and kept walking away. I asked is he the sales person for this section. He said yes but I'm about to go to lunch. And while hes talking his demeanor and attitude was so very nasty. I said, well we are waiting for help. He says again, but I am going to lunch, there is nothing I can do. I'm thinking to myself, he's not even willing to call someone else to help us? I said, didn't you hear them calling you on the PA. he said yes. I said so you know we've been waiting for 15-20 minutes. He said yes but I'm about to leave. At this point hes walking away and I am walking toward him to get answers. Had we not said anything he would have just got his coat and walked off. I said the fact that you knew we requested help and werent even going to acknowledge us knowing we have been waiting here is very unprofessional. He just kept focusing on leaving. I called him rude and unprofessional he just kept walking away. I went straight to the manager. the other customer also confirmed to the manager how rude the guy was. This guy should not be working in any job that requires customer service! After reading most of these comments, it looks like bad customer service is accepted by management and it goes unchecked. this needs to be addressed. there are some good hardworking people who would do better. read more
