I went in looking for a few low maintenance plants and Cole walked me through several options with real care and attention. I picked up a Hoya Compacta Hindu Rope, a ZZ plant, a Philodendron Lemon Neon, a Bromeliad, a Crassula Jade, an annual, and a six inch Euphorbia Firestick cactus. Every plant looked healthy and well cared for. Since it was a quiet Wednesday morning, I got very personalized attention, but honestly the service here is always excellent even when the store is busy. The staff makes every customer feel valued, no matter how many people are in the shop. The prices are higher than big box stores, but the quality and care of the plants make it worth it. Instead, I received a different bouquet. From the FTD website, I would guess what the florist was trying to approximate is the "bountiful" bouquet because the flowers arrived in a ceramic pumpkin. A pumpkin. With a "Boo!" sign sticking out of it. It is bizarre that the florist did not catch the error because it was clear from my card that the flowers were for my anniversary. And, although ceramic pumpkin flower arrangements have their place, it usually isn't attached to a romantic anniversary card. In addition to filling orders correctly, another weak suit of of the florist is making bouquets that match the pictures of the bouquets on the FTD site. Although I wouldn't say that my bouquet is ugly, per se, the florist did not include any of the nice, expensive flowers that are shown in the FTD picture. Instead, there are only carnations and daisies, and gold spray-painted greenery. The effect is something you might find on a reception desk at a retirement home. Or on the principal's desk in an elementary school. Finally, I did not even have the element of pleasant surprise to make the flowers appear more beautiful, if even for the moment when I realized my husband had remembered our anniversary. The florist called me at work to check how long I would be there (the flowers arrived late in the day, despite not being ordered on the day-off) about an hour prior to actually delivering the flowers. It wasn't all bad--I'm sure that my husband and I wouldn't have laughed nearly as much if the beautiful bouquet he had actually ordered (and paid for) had arrived. I would stay away from this florist, and also FTD. FTD obviously is not instituting quality controls on its florists, so you never know if you are going to great florist or terrible one when you order through the website.

After speaking with the lady up front (I believe it was the owner Donny's wife, but not 100% sure) she talked us into using their services because she convinced us that their sod was locally grown and they had expert installers. We spend almost $1,000.00 and they came by the next week. Everything seemed to be ok after they left, but less than a month later, the sod stared to brown. MULTIPLE requests (including text messages, phone calls and visits to the store) and months later Donny finally agreed to replace the sod. NO notification that they were coming, I got a knock on my door the last day of October (7 MONTHS later) they were there to replace the sod. In the middle of the guys replacing the sod, Donny (the owner) literally pulled up in front of my house, got out and screamed in front of my entire neighborhood how he didn't think my sod actually needed to be replaced and to "never effing call him again" (Yes I have it all on video if anyone is interested). After an altercation, he trespassed me from his store. Nice way to deal with a customer that only wanted to get what he paid almost 3X what he should have from a local business.
