REWILD is such a cute spot! They offer a wide range of plants and are located between 7th and C Street SE. I stopped by while walking around Eastern Market on a Sunday which, by the way, is an absolute must if you're in DC. Their customer service was great. Everyone was so sweet and chill, and honestly, I couldn't complain if I tried lol. I ended up buying a snake plant. Now, look, I am not a plant girly. I could kill a paper plant with very little effort lol. So I really appreciated that they included a cute little care card with my purchase. Considering this is my second snake plant and I technically only have one now (pray for my plant yall lol)... that card will definitely come in handy. What really earned them the five stars was their gesture of offering 22% off to customers during the shutdown. It might not seem like much, but it's something and it stood out, especially since many of the nearby shops weren't offering anything outside of full price. read more

A nice size store to pick up a new roommate. The staff at this location was so kind. She greeted us as we walked in, and was attentive to us and other customers when necessary. The store can be slightly tight depending on how many others are inside. There are so many plants to choose from. They all come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Be sure to keep in mind about pets and kids in the home. There is also plant themed gifts to go with a plant or just by itself. Pricing is very comparable to other plant shops I have been too. Bonus! There is an Incardi vending machine inside. Look it up. You get tokens from them to use there. But those tokens are to only be used at REWILD Capitol Hill only. This location is not to far off from a Metro station. A nice walkable distance. read more

Love this store! I stopped by twice recently and both times have been greeted by such warm and helpful folks working here. I was looking for a small snake plant to buy as a gift. During my first visit, I was shown the range which was so helpful to see from an inventory and option perspective. On that day, I was holding my dog after a vet appointment so I had my hands full, but now had some direction and information that would be helpful upon my return. When I came back a week later, I was out walking. I asked if they had any pots that were not ceramic or perhaps, weighed a bit less since I would be bringing it to my father in a rehabilitation center and didn't want anything that would be difficult to schlep around upon his return home. The young lady working quickly showed me an option that I probably would have missed if it wasn't for her. She then got me situated with a sturdy bag for carrying it home (I was walking) and was even kind enough to add a little sign in it that says "Do not water" so that the folks working at the rehab center wouldn't over water it since it only needs to be watered once a month. That was so kind of her and definitely a gesture that went above and beyond. I'll definitely return soon now that I know how much is in-store to buy a few more of my own. I spent about 30 minutes browsing and despite being the second customer I didn't get the attention one would expect from a bespoke plant shopping experience. Limited plant friendly selection, small sizes, limited pot selection, and definitely the limited pots were not my aesthetic. Sorry not sorry vibes from the staff. My new favorite plant shop! Great selection, and I love how the plants are organized from high-light to low-light. They also repot for free, which saves so much of the hassle of doing it at home. REWILD is a unique indoor plant store. Their staff answer questions beyond the norm. They are thoughtful and attentive towards customers objectives and focus. Recently, my company held an event inside their Capitol Hill location. We also had structured workshop in the back during the event. Paris and Elyse instructed the terrarium building session. They did a great job of making the subject fun and engaging. Our guests left with beautiful hand constructed pieces to bring home. If you're in the DC area and want to learn more about indoor plant life, check out REWILD. To host an event at their location, the value is beneficial for everyone involved. During our event, REWILD sold more of their products to our guests. And our guests learned more about not only my organizations mission but also the mission of two other local vendors. Capitol Hill's newest plant store is across from historic Eastern Market. Open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends, it feels bigger than their Shaw location. Plants of all kinds and sizes expand from the front window to the back room and in between. Plants can be a little pricey, but ours we got have lasted for a long time. I went here and used their plant design option 1 the staff were extremely helpful and even opened early to fit my schedule! I found the prices for plants reasonable, though pots are a bit pricey. The best part is definitely their repotting service - for any plants purchased at Rewild, the staff will repot your plants for free. They also have a 90 day return policy, which I find to be an almost unbelievably good deal. I highly recommend! read more

Lilly is a patient, knowledgeable, and generous human and plant guru! I had some succulents and cacti that I neglected during a move-relocation. I knew they deserved far better - and probably/definitely a new potting situation. I called REWILD and asked if I could come through. Lilly patiently assessed the damage. She then coached me on root rot, proper watering and drainage protocol, helped me select new homes for my green companions, and repotted them. She recommend weekdays if you need this kind of intervention, as weekends can get quite busy at this location. She's phenomenal! And I love the shop for its location, selection and coziness. My girlfriend and I were interested in getting some of our plant babies repotted and trimmed. We initially went to Ginkgo Gardens and were ignored. I remembered a new REWILD had opened on 7th St SE and suggested we go there. Despite being busy with weekend Eastern Market goers, the associate David took his time and walked us through each of our plants. We really appreciated his attentiveness, patience and his plant knowledge. Since they were pretty busy he kindly suggested we return later that week so he could spend time trimming and repotting with us. We recently tried to go here on our day off, but we're extremely disappointed in the lack of merchandise. This was Friday, Feb 24. But more than that... We arrived shortly after 11 am - which both the store's door and website state is when they open. Despite someone being inside, we couldn't get in. So we circled the block. Another person was also waiting when we got back. Door was still locked, so we walked away. Finally, as were a half block away, the other person shouts that they opened. Not the employee - another person waiting. Shout out to her for looking out. We finally got inside - approx. 30 minutes after they were supposed to open. The employee never looks at us or says a word to us. Very lame experience. We walked a little further to go to Frager's - the neighborhood's far more superior option. You should too. read more

I was greeted by a young lady named Aloura, I went in there looking for a new plant for my place since I'm new to being a plant mom. She was super informative when helping me trying to decide what would work best for me. I ended up walking out of there with a huge smile and great vibes with my new snake plant, it will be super manageable for my schedule and the lighting in my home!
