Am I the only one who sees these delicious Costco buys and actually go on a hunt to find them?!!! I learned today from a beautiful cashier that 9 times out of ten the reels/videos I'm seeing are from Costco customers on the west side! But today I lucked up and found the Blueberry Cheesecake croissants that I was looking for, a few weeks ago! The bakery finally got the molds to make them and I hope these are here to stay! *inserts yelpie foodie dance* You get a pack of 8 for $13 and it's a great buy! Came home popped one in the air fryer for about 3 mins and boy oh boy! I shared with my hubbie- but next time I'll just warm 2....hahahaaa!!!! Can't wait to try the strawberry and cheese one that's trending :)))) I guess when you least expect something boom something magical happens haaaaa! I'm a huge fan of Costco. Been coming here for years. I love how so many of their products are organic. The prices are awesome. The quality is incredible. It's consistently good. Their seasonal products are fantastic, you know it's fresh or timely. Sometimes it's a little difficult to find things and there aren't a lot of staff around to help. The Glenarden Costco can be quite chaotic, and getting in and out can take some time as it's part of the shopping center. As other Costcos, they offer appliances, auto/tires, items for babies and kids, clothing, handbags, computers/printers, electronics, furniture, hardware, health and beauty products, home/decor items, jewelry/watches, office products, patio/outdoor items, items for pets, and travel/luggage items. The self-checkout line does move along, as there's a staff member who directs the traffic; they also have their scanner ready, so you can quickly pay and go. Your typical Costco in a ever-growing part of Maryland that definitely attracts typically large crowds, as it is a Town Center location and surrounding by new housing developments. The store is clean, well lit, great products for good prices...most of the usual finds and brands you will find in neighboring grocery stores but more in bulk or larger quantities. The staff here are great and helpful too, especially in the electronics section. I've never ran into any issues with their service desk or in transactions involving returns.  Also, one added plus..... this Costco is usually empty during the weekdays.  The weekends, on the other hand, can get crazy and very crowded if you are a shopper like me that like to run in and out of places.  In either case, the lines and checkout move fast. You just have to be patient. From fresh baked goods, prime cuts & meats, seafood....great deals on electronics.....to all your main home staple needs.....this place has it all.  There is even an Optical Eye Care Center at this location, where I have found it very convenient and easy to purchase my eye-wear & contacts well below market price.  Add all of this together.....and a gas station where you can fill-up on discounted gas.....what more could you want!? Costco opticians here provide excellent service. From the moment I and my husband stopped at the counter, we were greeted with respect. The Opticians are knowledgeable about their product selection, ordering of frames, related and current discounts and the fit of the frame. Most specifically, the tech took the extra time to properly fit and adjust the frames. She explained why it may beneficial to use the current promotion of sending pair of frames with lenses for $50, one specifically dedicated for computer use. Costco Glenarden is my new vision center. Only complaint is the lines can get very long and move very slow but everyone is buying in bulk so it makes sense. I love coscto, buy everything in bulk it lasts FOREVER unless you're throwing a party. You can get clothes, a canoe, a a couch and get a cheap bite to eat on the way out. read more

I stopped by to pick up a few things for the house. The bulk toilet paper. paper towels, laundry detergent, and bottled water are always a great bargain. On my way out of the store, I stopped by the food court and grabbed a quick bite to eat. The $1.50 hotdog and soda and the berry smoothie are quick bites. read more

I've been coming here for 4 years and My husband started coming when we got married 2 years ago. He went without me today and he always uses my card which obviously has my face on it. Today the lady at the self checkout wanted to actually SEE his card and she took his basket away and said he couldn't checkout. He told her it's his wife's card, and she said "you can't go. There's nothing we can do." So my husband calls me and asks me to put him on the card as a household member which I do and it wasn't even working from the app. Tried three times before it went through on their end. He went back to the line looking for his basket which the lady had rolled away and didn't want to do her job to go get since she's the one who chose to put it away and have people put the things up. A manager came and apologized for the inconvenience. If they're checking cards for the FACE at checkout, then they need to be checking the cards for the FACE at the entrance before having someone shop, take away the basket and then put away the stuff. read more

Things were easy to find at this warehouse. However, an employee by the name of Graves made my experience difficult. He didn't provide clear instructions during the membership renewal process and he refused to help me after I asked questions. The brother, who's medium height with a ponytail and fade, threw my ID on the counter and walked away from the cash register. When I told him that I needed his assistance in the 30 minutes or so left before Costco's closing, Graves kept it moving while suggesting verbally and tongue in cheek that he meant to inconvenience me. A terrible experience that almost inconvenienced me at the end of a busy day. read more

I called before leaving my house to verify the hour of operations. They said normal business hours. Even though we were expecting a snow storm. I asked again to make sure, a second time. They assured me they would be open. I drove 45 minutes in the snow, normally a 25 minute drive. When I get to the door, they said they were closed and the person at the door was rude. I just needed 1 thing. I'm really disappointed with the lack of assistance even when I explained the long drive I just endured. I asked to use the bathroom at least to get back on the road and they also denied me that. read more

My son went to Costco 2 days ago and he was treated terribly by a cashier. Then, the supervisor came and threatened him to leave the store or he would call the police. My son was ready to pay some items when they asked him if it was his membership card he said it was his dad but he was on his way to cotsco so they didn't allow to buy the things. Instead instead of ask him to buy for his dad they took his cart away removed items from his cart by the time His father and I got there and hand out the card my son items were taken and my son had to go around the store to get them again. I asked to talk to the Manager to get an explanation of what happened, but I found a rude lady that wasn't willing to listen and she claimed she was the supervisor. This is in reference to the vision center. WOW! They are going above and beyond to keep customers and staff safe. They wipe down the rooms, the chairs, glasses, everything! Staff is always kind, prompt, and knowledgeable. Great eye glass selection at a wonderful price. I want to make a point of recognizing the lovely Miss Maureen, who is ALWAYS incredibly kind, attentive, and funny! She goes out of her way to pay attention to customer service. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service that my husband received on yesterday. He went in to get a tire repaired and Marcus K was very nonchalant, unprofessional, and very apathetic. From the moment he arrived he was not treated well and with the appropriate manners a customer should be greeted with. I will definitely be reaching out to the corporate office to let them know the horrible customer service he received, and we will take our business to a different location. Situations of this caliber make you not even care to do business with this Cotsco store at all. Costco Food Court : Normally after pushing a shopping cart full of necessary and unnecessary Costco goodies, the last thing I want to do is make another stop. But instead of running toward the exit today, I decided the stop at the food court which is normally a long line of people but today I had time. I decided to go against the norm of the choosing a pipping hot slice of pizza and opted for the BBQ Beef Brisket . And let me tell you this is one time I was glad that I stepped out of my routine and tried something new. The BBQ Beef Brisket comes on an soft brioche type bun with coleslaw all for the low price of $4.49. The BBQ Brisket is moist and has the right amount of barbecue sauce. This would be my favorite Costco, but they do not sell wine and liquor. The store is always fully stocked except specialty items sometimes go fast (such as the ceramic "Big Green Egg" like smoker they sold for $299). I go to this store every week and I love that I see the same faces doing an excellent job. The store is always "straightened and faced" properly. Besides the checkout team and section members the store stands out for the membership/return desk staff. They have the correct answer to my questions even when told differently at other locations. Even when the checkout lines are long, the experienced staff keeps things moving. Here is a perfect illustration of how the staff excels: I purchased numerous items and upon unpacking at home I realized I was charged for an expensive bottle of olive oil but it was either not placed among my things or left in the cart in the parking lot. I called the store and before I could finish explaining what I believed happened the return desk staff person told me she saw the item on the log of items that were left behind at checkout and that all I had to do was return to the store and the bottle of oil would be at the desk. One hour later I walk in show my membership card and receipt, and I walked out with my previously forgotten purchase. The lady also called out to the "receipt checkers" at the exit to let them know I was okay even though my receipt had already been marked. All of this should not come as a surprise to a Costco member, but damn it feels good when a business does the right thing. Now if the state of Maryland would only allow more grocery stores and big boxes to sell liquor, this place would have my highest of reviews. My father was hounded by the self check-out attendant regarding his membership card. They take identity verification too far when all we, as patrons, want to do is shop. It's never that serious because at the end of the day we decided not to shop even after he showed ID because of how they didn't earn our dollars. I have been coming to this Costco since before the pandemic. I have been sick these last couple of weeks so I sent my daughter to do the shopping. My daughter has very bad anxiety so for her to do this for me is a big step for her. A couple of minutes after my daughter gets there is calls me panicking. When I asked what was wrong she stated that they weren't letting her through all she was buying was some lotion. They had said that the owner needed to come. My daughter explained the situation and the rude lady told repeated the same thing to her as if she was slow. My daughter then proceeded to tell someone else that was working what was going on. The very kind man told my daughter to go ahead and pay at the self checkout as she was going to originally. They very rude lady then proceeds tell my daughter no. My daughter feeling very uncomfortable about the situation and gives the worker a bit of attitude. The very kind man tells the rude lady to let her pay. As my daughter proceeds to pay this rude lady talks bad about my daughter behind her back. Talking bad about my daughter to her other co-workers. My daughter is a teen. Known that Costco's workers treat kids bad like that I might have to stop going there. Tell all my friends and family to stop going there because of how bad people are treated in this costco. read more

Terrible customer service, the tire center especially. There's nobody at the desk most of the time, and when somebody does come out to help, they have an attitude. I brought my car in almost 2 weeks ago, they said they didn't have the correct size for my tire, even though it's a room full of tires in there. So they had to order my tires which took over a week to get there. The following week i showed up and they gave my tire to somebody else. Please do better read more

I shop at Costco using my mom's membership card. So today, I had her card, and went shopping, as I have done a number of times (she wasn't with me, she was in the car, not feeling well). I had at least $250 worth of groceries in my cart, including a halloween costume that my five year old was very excited about. So when I was done shopping, I got up to the register, and put all my stuff on the belt. Cashier asks me for my membership card. No problem, I gave it to her. She asked me if I was my mom, I told her no, that was my mom (again not getting it because I have done this a lot. it has NEVER been an issue). The cashier calls over a manager and she tells me that I need to be on her membership in order to purchase, or she just has to be present. Now, normally, I am a rule follower. But, I have NEVER run into this issue at any of these big box stores, this is literally the first time I have ever been asked for my id. So, I left my stuff on the conveyor belt, the customers are 7 deep behind me I am SURE were pissed, because now the manager has to take all my stuff off the belt, put it back in the cart, and now have someone put the stuff back on the shelves. Here's a hint about customer service. I am not complaining about the rule. If you all want to start adhering to the members only thing, cool. My thing is, if you have a customer willing to pay the $200-300 for groceries, wouldn't it benefit the store and the customer to just sell it? AND, my five year old started to cry because he couldn't have his spiderman costume. Now she has irate customers that now have to wait (for no earthly reason), just lost my sale, and now has to spend man power just to put all the stuff back on the shelf all to prove a point. Was it really worth it? Good luck retaining customers. Why not just tell me, "We understand you have done this before without your mom being present. We will allow you to purchase these items as a courtesy, but next time she needs to be present." There, problem solved. read more

Finally! A Costco that's close to me and convenient to visit after work or on the weekends without driving a country mile. I'm personally a Sam's Club gal, but I do enjoy a Costco every now and then. Besides, they're basically the same anyway. This Costco is apart of the fairly new shopping center in Glenarden that has several big name retail stores and a Wegman's. Costco's has a gas station, tire shop and inside eatery. It doesn't sell wines and spirits like the location in DC, but it's not too far from that location if that's a necessity. Plenty of items in stock from furniture, tv's, salmon to paper goods. Basically everything you would expect in a normal Costco. It can get a bit crowded on the weekends and of course during the holidays, but normally I can breeze in and out. The majority of the staff is helpful and the check-out lines are usually always pretty fast. I don't like the fact that Costco's only accepts checks or American Express as forms of payment. Step up with the times and allow customers to use any credit card that they have. I would also appreciate if they opened earlier for those of us that need to go in earlier. All and all, it's a clean store, that has plenty discounted perks. read more

This Costco is stellar. Employees are courteous and hardworking. Customer service is top notch. We have NEVER had a problem making a return or managing our membership. I've gotten two pairs of glasses at the optical center here and both turned out great. Hardly any wait at all, and there's an optometrist with an office inside the store who does eye exams for $50. The employees in the electronics department actually know about electronics! Gasp! ;) Same with the butchers knowing about the meats. And of special note, you can get a pint of oysters for just $7.99 when they have their seafood expos. So worth it! Totally delicious. The ONLY gripe I have is that this store sells milk in odd-shaped containers that are really hard to pour without spilling a little bit. It's annoying, but not going to keep me from coming back. read more

I ordered a gas stove online..i wanted to supruse my mother..scheduled it for june 18 a month after i purchased it because of my busy work schedule..GE gives me a 3 to 7 window..yhey show up at 6 to tell me they dont haul away the old one or hook up the new one...they only deliver and wanted to put it in the garage..not one person called to schedule a hook up appt..and couldnt give me a time frame when it will be hooked up...so i sent the appliance back..and had to cancel all the guest i had coming to the house for fathers day..because the range i have is broke...thanks costco for the epic fail...going to get a BJ memebership tomorrow read more

Not sure if I will be back here. I purchased a membership online in hopes of cutting down some processing time at the counter. Was welcomed in by a nice greeter wish I would have gotten his name. He's the only pleasant part of this entire review. Got to the membership counter at 8 PM (30 minutes before I close however I'm active duty military and I work late) and was told that I needed to come back tomorrow when they're not so close to closing since the membership process takes 15 minutes. I was there 30 minutes prior to closing, so I'm not sure why my membership couldn't have gotten processed while I was there; I work late, so even coming tomorrow I'll still be here around the same time. I wasn't looking to shop today, only get my membership set up so I could shop in the future. I may just cancel my request all together this is very dissatisfying. read more

No Açaí bowls...they made me order an all beef hotdog with sauerkraut, mustard and onions and a Pepsi for 1.50. They were advertising a Costco cheeseburger and Costco pizza too, but I didn't fall for that...I was strong! I'm new to the area and I am thankful this is in my neighborhood. Masks are required and the attendants sanitize the carts regularly. They don't seem to have an issue with keeping necessities in stock. Store is clean and staff are helpful. The only negative, for me, is the pharmacy. I was here visiting and my doctor called in a prescription and the directions weren't clear to me on HOW & WHEN to take this new script and the pharmacist didn't bother to contact my doctors office to clarify for me but still dispensed my medication ‍ I like the store but won't use the pharmacy again. read more

This review is in reference to the OPTICAL CENTER inside of Costco, not the Costco itself. I went into to costco for the specific reason of checking out their optometry dept. I walked around looking at frames and glasses. I asked the woman behind the counter (short black woman with glasses) a few questions about glasses. The response, demeanor, and look that I received when she answered my question was that of it seemed as if i was bothering and or irritating her. The final straw for me was when I asked my very last question which was "Does Costco have a military discount?" The woman behind the counter looked at me as if I was crazy and says to me with a look of disgust on her face "No costco don't have no military discount, you have to go somewhere else for that. This is a pretty good Costco. It's always clean, the lines move fast most of the time, and there is always an employee moving the lines along. If you are thinking about buying something that may be unique, give it serious consideration because it might be gone when you return - Costco doesn't always have a consistent supply of certain items. Nevertheless, I can buy things like bottled water, napkins, toilet paper, eggs, and bread that may come in bulk but are just as good and cheaper than the name brand stuff. read more

This Costco's has by far the best customer service in the DMV, I normally would venture out across the bridge or to laurel on the weekends only because this location can be over saturated, it seems like everybody and their momma be out here. I'm generally a big fan of Costco no matter where they are but this one is very nice. Plus it has the added benefit of not being overly crowded and having a gas station so I can get all my errands done at once. It has a nice wide selection of goodies and plenty of space to wander around and pick up stuff you didn't know you needed or wanted. It's rare to get out of there for less than a hundred buck and, sometimes, I've gone totally nuts and stocked up on things and spent way too much but, hey, I'll use up the stuff sometime.
