I live in DC, and this is hands down my favorite Wegmans. Every time I shop here, the staff stands out for being genuinely kind, knowledgeable, and helpful, which makes even a quick run feel pleasant. I stopped in last night specifically looking for the 4-gallon spring water bottles, which unfortunately have been out of stock for a couple of weeks. I ended up grabbing other items instead, but even then, the experience was great. The store is always spotless, well-organized, and thoughtfully stocked, and you can tell there's real care behind how it's maintained. What really keeps me coming back is the overall attitude of the team. People are attentive without hovering and happy to help when you need it -- that kind of consistency matters. Now if I could make one small request... please bring the 4-gallon spring water back ASAP! I'll be checking This location is worth the trip every time. read more

What can I say it's Wegmans y'all!?! I don't live as close to this one as I did when I lived in Woodbridge, but it's a short drive up the highway which on certain days not that bad. I love the area it is in as there are numerous restaurants, shops, and even a Costco all nestle nearby for your shopping convenience. Now again we are in Maryland and you know they don't sale wine or beer here...eyes roll which I don't understand all the money they are losing out on. But I digress...despite that the food selection was great especially the size of the crablegs. I am use to the crab legs not only being available in the freezer section but also at the counter. Which st his Wegmans I didn't notice any at the counter. No biggie I was able to look through the frozen legs and found several bags with good size legs to take home to. They also had a great selection of turkey parts (ie turkey thighs) that I have never seen sold in stores before. I will definitely be back as I enjoy getting the fresh meats and seafood at a reasonable price! read more

I've been a big fan of Wegmans since the 1970's in upstate NY. I was excited when they opened one in the DC area. This was my first visit to a store in the area. I was underwhelmed. There was some produce I needed, but it just didn't look good. Wegmans always used to have unique, special different products, but it seemed like everything was just the same as all the other DC stores. The did have Hoffman Cooney's, which was a nice surprise, but I didn't see much of anything else that I can't get at my local grocer. Maybe I needed to look a little harder. It's a big beautiful store. But, I'm in no hurry to return. read more

Went there yesterday to get ingredients for making poutine. Well, I had everything I needed except the right cheese curds. Thanks to Ms. Daisy in the cheese department! She was able to help me find a suitable substitute for cheese curds since the store did not have any cheese curds in stock. Apparently it is not a popular item. The staff here is so well informed and trained in the sections they support and know their products! The shopping ambiance and experience to shop here has always been pleasant at this and every Wegman's I have been to. Wegmans is a great place to shop for healthy food options (and the mot so healthy too!). The produce is mostly fresh and varied but sometimes scarce as this is a very popular grocery store. I love the "exotic" selection of items as I love cooking tons of international cuisines. Im choosing to write about it today specifically because of the bakery - they SLAYED the donuts. Ive been coming here for 9 years and today is the first time I have ever had one and WOWWWWWW! There is something to be said for the artistry that is a donut because all donuts aren't created equal but Wegmans Woodmore got it right! The glazed and vanilla sprinkled was absolutely perfection. Im definitely coming back one more to get a couple dozen for my office peeps. They deserve it! read more

Wegmans is one of the best grocery stores around they have everything from prepared foods, fresh seafood, sushi to regular groceries and more. This location has plenty of parking but can get very crowded, the staff are very helpful when you need to find something. At the sushi station if you want something prepared fresh that isn't already prepared you can just ask them and they will make you something. There are seats inside the store to sit and eat the prepared foods they have, they have microwaves for any cold prepared foods that they have along with free wifi. read more

This location is about two miles off Landover Road from my new temporary (three years!) work location. This was my first visit here and only second time in a Wegmans. I came here to buy time until I had a work event that started at 5:30. I recall the other Wegmans having an extensive hot bar so I figured I could come here and chill out until I needed to be back at work. Their hot food bar (3:15) was anemic. They had a variety of wings, lobster mac & cheese, fried like cheese sticks, and potato wedges, and that was about it. I bought a few items for $9.75. The price was $15.99/lb. That is way more than Whole Foods and Amazon fresh charge for their food bar. I'm not willing to pay that price for potatoes! I bought a loaf of Tuscan Italian bread from the bakery that was $6.00, but probably the best bread I've had in a long time. Milk was cheaper here than my usual grocer ($2.99 a gallon). I also bought a two back fresh (cook at home) crab cakes for $18.00. They only sell them in a two pack and a four pack. They had a precooked one with jumbo chunks unlike the others for $15, but I didn't like the fact that it was sitting in the display case for I don't know how long. All that being said, I'm not pulled to come back. I did download the app for convenience, but will probably only return when I am obligated to stay at work since I live about 35 to 40 minutes away. read more

This is a convenient option to go to just because of proximity to everything. Their selection is always so so when I go, so sometimes I leave not getting what I came for. The bakery and prepared food section never disappoints. When I wanted sushi but they were out of my option, they did take the time to make one fresh for me to purchase so that alone speaks to the service that wegmans provides. read more

I went into this store before work this morning to get a plastic bin of salad and did not see any. I asked a staff member was there any salad? He responded with yes, they have not put it out yet. I left and will go to the Crofton store this evening. I am complaining in this review because I shop at three other Wegman's in Maryland and this is the only store that the staff usually fails to provide responsive customer service. I have asked for products in the other stores and have always been met with a smile and assistance. This is a management problem. read more

Cheyenne was so helpful! She walked us to the item because I could not find it. Other reps just told me what aisle to go to and when I said I couldn't find it, they said another aisle. I love Wegmans, but this is probably the worst Wegmans I've ever been to. The biggest issue is how frequently fresh produce and dairy (eggs especially) seem to be out of stock. Produce shelves are frequently bare and I've stopped coming down here because I can't count on them having the vegetables I need for a recipe. Combined with the fact that to get there, you have to navigate two roundabouts with drivers who don't know the rules--I've had several close calls and my friend was sideswiped the other day when someone tried to exit the roundabout from the left--it's not worth it. Wegmans doesn't compete on price but rather quality. But if there's no quality in the store, then it's not worth the price and traffic hassles. read more

Wegmans has to better!!! I went to the amish market and got a bunch of greens for 1.89 a bunch. Later in the day, I went to Wegmans to get some chicken stock. I browsed the organic section and the same greens were $2.99 a bunch. The thing is that the amount of greens at the Amish market was 10 times the amount that Wegmans had. I took a picture but dont know if I can upload. I can say the bunch at Wegmans would yield at most one serving. The bunch at the Amish market would feed a family of six. read more

If you're different states like I am it's the half the service of Publix, better selection than Walmart, pricey like Target. I look forward to every trip there. Prices are not competitive but I am new to the area so don't take my word for it. They're store brand sauce is good I recommend the Asian BBQ sauce. In the produce section toward the back I've found my personal favorite add on to any meal the Pepper Poppers(ham and cheese stuffed peppers in olive oil. I was taken aback at the coffee bar when the 8oz cup was the smallest option but they're cheaper than Starbucks so it's clear who has my money and who doesn't. read more

Glad I came here at 10pm for some last-minute weekly grocery shopping. Sadly all the fresh cookies and pastries were gone (except some danishes and muffins) and there was a small limited selection of bread. To my delight, I found sliced 7 Grain Harvest which I generally can't find in other Wegman locations (ex. Fairfax, VA doesn't carry it near my house). Happy I bought the last loaf! On the other hand - I couldn't find fresh small whole wheat tortillas. Not sure if they make fresh tortillas at this location? I found a bunch of cold tortillas in the back, but they didn't look very fresh. I also found breaded eggplant cutlets, which is again something I usually don't see at other Wegmans (generally just the breaded portabella cutlets are available.) This review is based on the food not the actual store itself. The store is well stocked and cashiers friendly. Love getting my fruit from either a wegmans or Whole Foods. On to food. I've gotten food from here on 3 different occasions. Once from the burger place. Got a burger. Absolute trash. Horrible ! Second time I got one slice of pepperoni pizza. Disgusting. Taste like plastic. Then today. The ladies were friendly. Good customer service but the sun itself was gross. Got a meatball. I really was hoping I'd like it but no. The meatballs seem to be frozen. Not fresh. Tasted plain. No seasoning the sauce was plain. Just gross. I got a small one. Couldn't even eat the whole thing. Never again. 3 times I've been wronged by the food here. Wegmans on Instacart is the worst when they have their own staff shop your order... they dont check for replacements or anything. Currently my order has been shopped by a store associate it was finished an hour ago but Idk if they forgot to have instacart assign a driver since its done but I still havent gotten my groceries. 15/100 Wegmans is one of my go to grocery stores. Not necessarily my favorite but, it has all I need in one place. Bakery is far my favorite, one day I needed a 1/2 sheet cake and they told me it could be done within a few hours. Breads and other pastries are always delicious and fresh. Seafood: is where they lost a star. It never looks fully stocked and lobster tank looks like it use a good cleaning and fresh water. They could use more variety of fish instead of the same ole frozen tilapia or frozen salmon bags. Meat dept: good quality, however I'm not a fan on how they vacuum pack meats. Sushi dept: not the best and not worth it. Hot food dept: #nobueno Produce: A+ their guac is the bomb.com Cheese Dept: I love!! They never disappoint me. Floral dept: love love love Customer service can be womp womp, I have to go customer service if I need anything. My home Wegmans is in Chantilly/Fairfax (and occasionally Gainesville) and this Wegmans has many of the same amenities and offerings that I love from those locations: large dining area, burger bar, pizza station, coffee stand, sushi section. This location has a sub station as well, but NO salad bar (my go-to in Chantilly) -- salads are pre-packaged and pretty run-of-the-mill. Since this is Maryland and close to Montgomery County, no wine or beer is sold here. Also Saturday midday there were entire sections that weren't stocked -- either they're always like that or they were in the middle of restocking or shuffling item locations? One other non-food-related regional(?) difference I was not aware of was a 60-minute dining time enforcement and prohibition of things like playing board games and studying. This was VERY weird to me since at my home Wegmans it's a hot spot for getting work done and studying. Lanham isn't too far from College Park either so it's a shame in my opinion. It's one thing to have a sign (several, in fact) stating those rules but what was interesting was that they actively are enforcing it. My partner talked to the manager about it and he was nice, but very firm about it, i.e. even if we were to buy food every hour, he said, playing board games would not be allowed. I can understand prohibiting sleeping and bringing in printers and taking up room when people are honestly trying to find a place to eat... But if you're being considerate of available space and respectful of others and are adequately patronizing the store, why would you turn away positive community-building and paying customers? I feel like this rule could have been more thoughtfully enforced for those that are truly abusing the space. read more
