I have been a consumer of Lidl since first day of opening. Sometimes trhey don't have enough cashiers for the long lines, but I am pleased with the items I enjoy having. Never had a such a disappointing experience until today Not many people on duty and it showed. Sure wish more people would commit to working weekends (especially on a Sunday). The 2 cashiers did their best to get patrons out quickly while one staff person was diligent to stock the shelves with a full pallet. The ambiance of the store showed obvious signs of attention while; the stocked items needed restocking. For a Sunday, the store was short staffed. read more

Wow , My second time at Lidl but my first visit at Lidl in the DMV area. Very nice experience. Great prices , Great quality food. And a few rare finds which I loved. Free grocery carts unlike other chains but you do have to pay for your grocery bags. As the great Arnold once said "I'll be back" lol read more

I happened to be in the area and knew I had to make a LIDL run, so why waste time?? I walked in and was nothing short of intrigued -- College Park, Bowie & Lanham are look somewhat different from each other, but this one really stood out! I think the biggest thing was that the entrance was from the bottom left corner of the building instead of the bottom right like the other locations I have been to. What a change in layout! I'm not sure what it was, but this LIDL feels like it has so much more than the other locations as well. The refrigerated area looked fancier, and the area for all the non-grocery store just seemed so much more stocked. Anyway, I found everything I was looking for and happily checked out. It's cool to see that LIDL appears to be awesome wherever I go! read more

If you're into food, eating well and budgeting...shop here. Every time I leave I think to myself why do I keep shopping at the expensive grocery stores? This place is conveniently located and fun. Especially when it's warm. There's an affordable flower stands outside and always tons of little surprises on the inside. The meat and bakery items are fresh and delicious. Fresh flowers and a very nice and helpful staff. The times I've been there the manager on duty stepped in and opened another lane. This was my first time at a Lidl location and I was very pleased. Even in spite off the Coronavirus Pandemic, they were still stocked with things I needed They had plenty of bread, eggs, and a little milk. They had limited amounts of fresh meats but plenty of fresh produce. I love the way that Lidl is setup and while you must pay for bags, a quarter isn't needed for the cart like Aldi's. I also love that they have fresh flowers and a bakery. They have more name brand items than Aldi's and at reasonable prices. I'll continue to shop Lidl's in the DMV area and the Baltimore area as well and I'll do another review. But for now I'm pleased with this location and the customer service was great as well. read more

Great store in a perfect location! Lots of variety. Clean with very helpful staff! All of the bakery items were fresh and smelled so good! I was greeted at the door by staff and even given a cart... And asked if I wanted a small or big cart. Thing is, I came at 845pm. They close at 10pm AND the attitude was STILL customer friendly. Every question I asked was answered with a smile! I was reading online about how people were making complaints of this store and how they would rather have a full service grocery. Well I didnt see anything wrong with this store. There are not rows and rows of nor excessive amounts of a similar product. After all how many choices of dish soap do you need? I spotted name brands, fresh cut fruit. fresh vegetables, a flower market, but what captured my heart was the fresh bakery and the aroma you encounter when you first enter the store. It was a delight except I have been doing keto. :-( Everyone compares it to Aldi but I dont think it is. Aldi doesn't have any name brands that American shoppers are used to. Lidl does. Pricing seemed about right and the store was clean but that could be because its new. Either way this is the type of store that urbanites and those with small families shop at if they want better quality foods for reasonable prices without all of the pomp and circumstance. read more

I went to Lidl grand opening today. They had many people outside treating everyone and helping with carts. Everyone that worked today seemed excited and the store was looking very organized and easy to see everything. I normally frequent the Lidl in Bowie and noticed that this location requires you to bring you cart back to the front of the store not various cart stands near cars like Bowie. In my opinion this grocery store is smaller on the inside and the aisles are more narrow. The food selection is always good (fresh fruit, vegetables, frozen shrimp. Salmon, etc) , reminds me of all the other LIDL grocery stores I've been to in Bowie and Woodbridge. The gallons of water are the cheapest I seen around for spring water at 59 cents. read more

So happy that Lidl is finally here. Never been to a Lidl? There's a few things you need to know: - Bring your own bags or buy them at checkout - Self checkout is an option, but please move it along, there are others of us that just want to get our goodies and get on our way - Brand names are not the focus, quality items at reasonable prices are - It's going to be hard to pass the bakery without getting something because it all looks and smells so good...and really, that's the price for that loaf of fresh bread...I'll take one please! - The seasonal specials will be gone once they are sold out, so don't wait - The produce is wonderful and you won't believe the prices are so good unless you normally shop Lidl's main euro like competitor There is supposed to be another location opening in the area in 2020 and I can hardly wait. read more

Who doesn't love good quality at affordable prices? Lidl is very similar to Aldi's but there is one major difference: they have a bakery full of treats that smell oh so good. The smells were tempting but I didn't try any of it during my visit last week. The quality of the produce was really good and cheap. I think strawberries were $1.39 when I got them. I also appreciate their large selection of fresh meat. This is another difference between them and Aldi's (Aldi's has much less). Oh and there were so many lines/registers open so there was not much of a wait to check out. Looking forward to visit weekly for my grocery shopping needs! read more

I Love Lidl!!! It's a fairly new grocery store that's kind of a cross between Aldi & Trader Joe's. They have an on site bakery that makes delicious cookies. The prices are Very reasonable. They carry many Brand name products as well as their own line of products which are pretty good. The produce and meats always look fresh. The store is always very clean and well stocked. My only suggestion is that they add more vegetarian options like Morning star brand breakfast sausage and other products. I would also love for them to expand their seafood section to include more of a selection of fish. read more

Second time visiting the store and the doors are closed at 9:25 in the morning. The sign clearly says 8am but not this day. A young lady sitting in the car said somebody told her in a few minutes but that was more than 20mins ago. I went to this store for the first time I liked the place. but the cashier (old lady with purple hair) was super rude to the customer who was before me and me too. I am Latina the boy was Arab I think she is racist. But if she decided to be a cashier, she should leave racism at home, because she gets paid to do her job. read more

I have been shopping here since opening. For a while it was all good. Now they never have more than 2 lines open at the same time. Even with lines of a dozen or more all the way back to frozen. The self checkout is always closed. Empty shelves sunday at noon or Tuesday at 4, they are never stocked. Floor is filthy, spills are not cleaned. Expired product on the shelves. What happened. No shelf tags/prices on half of the items. I dont see this at other locations. You all need to do better. Not as busy as it was, folks are catching on. I like the European products. But if this continues I'll go back to wegmans, or whole foods which is a shame because Lidl is 5 minutes away, you have not even cut the grass. I really enjoyed a nice place to shop, that had items I wanted. I hope this location isnt slacking due to where it is. That's a bad look.
