For anyone of my 4 followers who have seen my other reviews about Wegmans. This one has views! It's a cute little area and has a lot of space even though it's narrow. The only downside is that their seating area closes at 10pm. No other Wegmans does that sooo it's not cool They are one of the only Wegmans in the dmv that serves burgers and fries !! And the fries are fat, and crispy crunchy. VERY good. read more

With convenient underground parking, lengthy store hours, & proximity to the Eisenhower Metro Station, Wegman's is a top choice for both hot & cold food items that are fresh & tasty. My first visit at this location, however, was for a return. Interestingly, the customer service desk is near the stairwell & escalator just outside of the store. This made my visit much quicker than expected, which was a definite plus. While this branch opened its doors in mid 2022, somehow I just discovered it a few months ago. Everytime I come here they don't have anything, 3 times now I've come for sourdough and left with nothing. It's 7 pm. I've come at 10am, 3pm and now 7pm. At this point just gonna guess they don't make the bread no more. No sandwich's either, sat in the parking garage that was packed and unmoving. Enjoyed my alone time & restocked for the week. I have NO complaints about this location (Stovall St.). Every thing is easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy. Carts are plentiful (no need to stalk people while they're loading their cars). Staff is accommodating and plentiful (not sure how they accomplish that when every other grocery store is short staffed and kinda grumpy). NO ridiculous traffic - parking is plentiful and getting in and out is effortless! Shelves are well stocked and neat. Check out lines MOVE. The Woodmore Wegman's is more convenient from my job but this is my fourth time visiting this Wegman's (which is more convenient to my house). Initially, I wasn't pleased about having to go to Virginia AND on Sunday mornings but it's turned out to be the best time for me and I am now declaring sheer joy in this location and shopping experience. Bought Virginia scratcher lottery tickets from the machine inside Wegmans. Bought them as christmas stocking stuffers. Won on some games and went back to Wegmans to collect winnings. They wouldn't scan so told us to return and try again another day. Went back about a week later and same happened. Wouldn't scan so no winnings. Told us to go to the VA lottery to claim what we won I pointed out that I bought the tickets inside Wegmans so why dont they deal with VA lottery. They stuck to their line. Guess it's better if we do their job and fix the problem between VA lottery and Wegman than them doing their job. ​ read more

Wegman's is my absolute favorite grocery store. They have great products, I could spend forever on the bakery section and I love all the meal prep options. A trip that I made last year really stood out though. I went to the bakery counter early in the morning to get some treats for my sister's birthday and Siyar was so incredibly kind and patient. He took his time making sure they were packaged safely and looked presentable. The team was in the middle of prepping for the day and putting product out, but he saw I needed some assistance and came right over. The desserts were delicious! read more

Every location of Wegmans is excellent. The choice of foods, cleanliness, and helpful employees makes it our first stop for shopping.

This is a great place to have lunch. They have a variety of cuisines to choose from. This includes from made to order dishes to premade meals. One of my favorites are the pizzas, especially the cheese with black truffles. The cool thing is that you can also bring your lunch and there is a microwave to heat it up. They also have a sink, utensils and water dispenser. There is also an awesome seating area by large windows. So if you want to just chill and relax, this is a great spot. Of course there is just an awesome amount of food to choose from. read more

This was my first time at Wegmans Grocery Store. This store is well organized and it was easy to find my way around. I went primarily for the hot food. It was late, so the hot food section was closed. However, they had left several salads and various entrees out for grabs. There were meat and vegetarian options. I chose a Cesar salad and sweet potatoes. They also had a nice selection of cheese, and items that you could use to make a charcuterie board. The fruit was fresh and the mangos and fruit in the pre-cut fruit box were very sweet. The baked goods looked delicious too. I used self checkout, so I did not interact with the employees. read more

I was staying at the Residence Inn nearby and needed something for dinner, as well as some water and snacks. Walked over and wandered the store for a while trying to decide between a sandwich, burger, pizza or just a bag of cookies (not really "dinner" for most people, but don't judge). Decided on two slices of pizza, they were in the cooler section and individually packed and then picked up a couple of cookies in the cookies-by-the-pound section. The cookie that was like a Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream pie was delicious, I can't remember the other (obviously not delicious) and the pizza was good. I'm not usually a buffalo chicken fan, but the slice of that was tasty and the other was plain cheese. A great store for anyone living in the neighborhood who needs to walk, or a guest at one of the nearby hotels. read more

Wegmans offers a wide variety of produce, prepared foods, and baked goods- soup bar, sub station, sushi bar, cookies, pizza... you name it! The produce section has a nice variety as well, but the prices were noticeably higher than expected... it's strange that Whole Foods is technically less expensive. I'll give Wegmans points for their cleanliness of their store though. One of our main reasons for visiting was to grab an infamous large sub sandwich, but unfortunately, this is where our review takes a downward spiral. It took 25 MINUTES for one person to prepare it...what?! The wait time was frustrating, especially since the person behind us got helped by a different person and took 5 minutes. I was able to do a grocery run of healthy drinks which was on the opposite side of the store, go down to the car in the parking garage two levels down, come all the way back up, and STILL find my partner waiting for our order to be complete. The self-service was also closed near the station, so we had to wait an extra 7 minutes to eat since I had to walk, pay, and come back to the seating area. When we FINALLY got to try the (gluten free) sub after that atrocious service, it was decent, but at $17 and being hungry for so long, it definitely was not worth the wait or the cost. The one plus is that they had a wonderful open seating area. You can only eat *purchased* Wegman's food there, but it's a very calm atmosphere with lots of windows looking outdoors, comfy seating, and lots of chargers. We gave Wegmans a shot. While it was a fun experience, it's too inconvenient of a grocery store for my partner and me to drive to, only to spend even more money on items that are of equal quality to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. We may potentially come back for that nice seating area if we're desperate. The one item I may or may not be back for is their fruit tart - tastes like there is a sugar cookie base with a layer of light whipped cream, topped with fresh berries. This is my kryptonite, and you'll know if you try! (But be willing to spend about $25 for one) read more

Great selection of cheeses I can't find in other grocery stores. The cheesemongers were great at recommending new cheeses to try along with complimenting wines and deli charcuteries. Store is nicely laid out, clean, and plenty of workers to answer any questions. read more

Pros: The atmosphere was very welcoming, friendly crew members, I was able to find everything that I needed/wanted, great selection of food items that catch the eye by using so many different vibrant colors and the prices are very reasonable on some of the items compared to name brand items. Cons: unfortunately being on a very limited budget for my food shopping, I wasn't able to get the food items that I needed/wanted. I strongly advise not to go food shopping during lunch rush, big mistake on my part, I think I'll make myself a little note of that for next time. Overall, I shall return next month for my food shopping, but I shall do my very best to go before 11 am and between 2-4/7-9 pm which is before and after dinner rush. read more

Wegmans is the ultimate supermarket/hot food/everything to eat and drink store. There is something for everyone here and everything is fresh, hot, and delicious. If it's a perfectly designed hero you want, a made your way pizza or a hot fresh order of wings with your desired flavor and toppings Wegmans has got your covered. The shelves are fully stocked, wine selection is phenomenal, and the produce is section is exquisite. Wegmans is one of the supermarkets that takes pride in their establishment, their food quality and their customers. If you are ever fortunate enough to have a Wegmans near you to shop at, just know you will never be disappointed. Oh yes one last tip; pick up a few big bottle of basting oil and use it on EVERYTHING.... I promise you will be hooked. The closest Wegmans to me is in Raleigh NC, and yes I will travel hours to get to it, but rumor has it that theres a Wegmans is coming to Charlotte in 2024. Can't wait! Stay tuned... read more

Do no but any Apple gifts here because I purchased $200 gift card to give to my niece when she went to use it there was only $1 on the card. When I contacted Apple, Apple said they never put the money onto the card. This one is too busy for me. Nothing personal, just not really into crowds. That being said, it's a decent spot to get lunch, and enjoy it in the seating area. Yes they have the wildly gourmet aisle that's fascinating, but my paycheck won't cover that. Props to Wegman's, as they've never let people go due to budgetary issues. Also they empower their employees, to make customer service decisions. That is huge, as no need to run something through multiple people. Prices are fairly competitive. They are among the big grocery stores. Parking here can be nerve wracking. Very nice employees and a clean store. I'll be back after the holiday rush. Be sure to check their coupons. read more

This review is for the bar at Wegmans which is open from 11am - 9pm and until 10pm on Fri/Sat. Happy Hour is M-F 3-6 with a great drink selection and super friendly staff. The menu says no tipping necessary but I'm tipping for the fabulous staff. There is some light music at the bar and the pours are decent. This is a good place to have a relaxing drink and relax. Very beautiful grocery store with tons of fresh food options. The service was great! Whenever I had questions about where to find something, etc, the staff were helpful with showing me the location or they would check to see if they had more in stock. The store was well organized and easy to navigate considering it was my first time at this location. They did not have a lot of healthy vegan options like I thought they would have. I guess I was expecting something like a Whole Foods or sprouts. Overall it's a beautiful grocery store with lots of food options (ready to eat food also). read more

I'm sitting at Wegman's lovely bar indulging in a Pino Grigio, ooohlala. I was just visiting the area and it's the 2nd time I've been here. I think I can be obsessed with this place. This 'smaller' version of a Wegman's opened up in the OT Alexandria area, but I thought that they were actually pretty standard-sized! This place has your Wegmans usuals, such as the bakery, fresh seafood, and the plethora of all-natural/organic/farm-fresh produce. We came here to pick up some items to make dinner at home as well as some desserts. There were plenty of cashiers, and the lines moved along. The cashier was friendly and efficient, and bagged our items gently. Nothing has improved. Its almost like shopping during the pandemic. You never know what you will be able to get because items are consistently and frequently out of stock - produce, bread, chips, meat, oatmeal, even cat food and litter. I visit multiple times a week because I live across the street and it doesn't matter which day or what time of day, usually empty shelves. The only thing I have not had trouble getting is water. (knock on wood!) Its especially noticeable when you buy the same items each week. Prices are also exorbitant for the quality and amount (organic fruit often rotten) and continue to increase for both grocery and hot food/prepared items. I was so excited to have a Wegman's closer to my residence. I still prefer the Wegman's near Ft. Belvoir because it has an open parking lot. Parking garages are so stressful to me. It is a beautiful store, but it is kind of small. The aisles are narrow so I don't see myself shopping on Sunday's. The hot bar is rather expensive at $14.99/lb so I will be staying away from that. They have a lot of healthy finds, which is good. Their fresh produce and meat always looks really good. Remember to bring your reusable bags to avoid that pesky bag fee. read more

Have been Wegman's shopper for years at Hilltop village center drive their other Alexandria location which is bigger than Old Towne Stovall St & has big outside parking lot. The Stovall St store has inside parking that's large so good as well. The prices here seem slightly higher compared to Hilltop store which I expected when I went today Saturday. Store was busy & the things I bought were purchased fast & got out of store quickly. The staff I spoke with were pleasant & helpful like All Wegman's Employees always are to customers. Will continue shopping at Wegman's Hilltop Center Drive my preferred location instead of Old Towne Stovall location but pleased I saw their newer Alexandria store. read more

I truly love Wegmans and have been to so many great Wegmans locations. I'm really excited that there's one closer to where I live now, in the Carlyle / Eisenshower neighborhood of Alexandria! This Wegmans is clean, has amazing selections, etc. And service is always great as well - I've never had a bad experience in that regard. My only qualm with this particular Wegmans is that they're not always well-stocked with items. I've gone there and their pre-made foods have been picked over and almost gone (I've never had that issue at other Wegmans locations), and there have been times that produce I've been looking for hasn't been available. However, overall, I usually find what I need at this Wegmans. It certainly is not as large as the Hilltop Village Wegmans -- if you're looking for certain items, they're not going to have it. But if you're looking for a quick Wegmans trip, this is a good location for it. They have indoor garage parking attached to the store, so it's nice and convenient. read more

Up: Great food selections, excellent quality seafood, excellent deli, excellent produce. Down: Who taught your supervisors to talk to customers as if they were 5 year olds? We watched a checkout supervisor get snotty, preemptive, and patronizing with an older couple after messing up their checkout. Talking to them while walking away and being openly insulting. Not a good look, and certainly makes other older couples re-think Wegmans as a customer-friendly location. read more

This is an add on to my review 10/21/2023. My 3rd time returning a spoiled product in 2 years and I had the same issue with customer service. In Oct. 2023 after hassling with Marcia in customer service, I called corporate & they told me that I didn't need a receipt to return a product. I could plug my # in and the customer service rep can pull up the receipt. I bought London Broil opened it that night and it was striped with green mold. I took the spoiled product to return it on 2/28/25 without a receipt and the customer service rep refused to return my $6.11. They said they could only give me a gift card. I explained that corporate said I could enter my phone # and get a refund. The customer service rep wouldn't do that. So I had to drive 30 minutes home and 30 minutes back with the receipt. What kind of customer service is this??? I can go into Trader Joes and return any product with a receipt, without a receipt, with the product without the product and they return my $ no questions asked. I've probably returned 5 products in 10 years. Wegman's prides itself on customer service but this is NOT the case any longer. I'm going to stop shopping there. There's no advantage to spending more and getting less. read more

Try the matcha green tea latte (iced or hot) available in 12 or 16 oz!! The matcha flavor REALLY COMES THROUGH and you cannot beat this price for this quantity and quality of coffee!! For 16 oz, it is $4.51 before tax (as of the date of this writing). Way better than Starbucks. Tip: the store doesn't serve coffee after 6 pm. I also really love the sushi-grade family pack and can eat the whole thing in one sitting. The best supermarket-sold sushi is Wegmans and I have tried WF sushi. It doesn't hold a candle to Wegmans sushi!!! In case my overt use of exclamation marks didn't express my excitement enough, I'll say it again in all caps: THIS PLACE ROCKS AND THE BOMB DOT COM!!!!
