Fairly cheap product. Good for last second basics. Cashiers unfortunately don't know how to make change.

Outstanding Service from Linda at Harris Teeter…read more I visited Harris Teeter on Thursday, June 4 to pick up a few ingredients for a salad. During checkout, Linda asked if I was 55 or older. When I confirmed that I was, she informed me about Harris Teeter's Thursday promotion for customers aged 55 and above, which helped me save some money on my purchase. I was delighted to learn about this benefit and truly appreciated Linda's attentiveness, professionalism, and willingness to share information that I might not have known otherwise. Every little bit helps, and her thoughtful customer service made a positive difference in my shopping experience. I shop at Harris Teeter frequently and was glad to learn about this promotion. Thank you, Linda, for your excellent service, attention to detail, and commitment to providing outstanding customer service!

Never have I come here and the store is poorly stocked or not well-organized. This Harris Teeter also offers a huge selection of nutritional supplements and unique household items that you would have to go elsewhere to find such as a local Target, Walmart or Vitamin Shoppe store.... All under one roof! The deli, bakery and hot food bar sections are quite impressive with lots of items and goods to choose from. There are weekly meal and lunch deals offered as well....all starting around $5 bucks! But, to my surprise...one of the highlights that stood out the most is that this place conveniently has a full bar upstairs! There is a modern bar and wine shop upstairs with both offering a great selection of libation and beverages to purchase. It offers weekly happy hour specials and every day $3 dollar pints. I mean, who knew!? How many grocery stores that you patron can you say have a bar or this type of offering? In all, this Harris Teeter store location is quite impressive. The sales are great, staff are helpful and there's convenient parking on the premises of the store. The only downside I would say about this store is that the layout can be a bit overwhelming to navigate. The store is very well organized, but you do feel like you're in a bit of a maze with so many aisles to maneuver in order to find items. And God forbid., you forgot one item once you're at the cashier checkout -- that's located in the back of the store..... You will definitely have bit of a stretch to go back and get the item given the size of the store! Lol. Nevertheless, no big deal for me. This store gets two thumbs up and one of my favorites in this area. Definitely worth a trip and visit!

When I had attempted to pay for the combo meal (and other stuff that I got) at the self serve checkout, the combo price would not ring up correctly. One of the employees who was helping other customers had tried to help me as well, by voiding the transaction and starting over. We tried 3 different times while h were all unsuccessful. I was then directed to bring my stuff and march over to the customer service desk, where the transaction was attempted again. Alysse took over at that point and stated that the problem had to with the wrong type of chips that were part of the combo. She instructured me to walk all the way back to the other end of the store to select a different brand of chips, that would qualify for the discounted combo price. She proceeded to scorn me and tell me that I should have selected the correct chips to begin with. I told here that the original chips that I had picked up were right next to the qualifying chips. Alysse continued to belittle me and although as she stated "doesn't work in that department" the correct type of chips should have been ovious to me, since I am just the customer of course. I did not appreciate any of he presentation, unhelpfulattitude, or the way that she was talking to me. I had a very unpleasant experience here today thanks to Alysse- the person who they have representing the Customer Service Desk.

We came in, found what we needed, checked out, and were back out the door without any issues. The convenience and walkability were definitely the biggest perks. That said, my colleague has told me some horror stories about the parking situation here, plus the higher prices and people loitering outside. Luckily, we walked over so we avoided the parking chaos entirely. Based on my experience alone, it was fine -- but it seems like timing and how you get here might make a big difference.

Parking: You have to drive down into an underground parking lot. That's cool, but you had to spend a $10 minimum to get free parking. Bet-let me get my little list together and head in. Shopping Experience-the store is nicely organized and the staff is friendly. I easily found everything that I needed to get. Upon exiting the store, I asked about how to get out of the parking area without having to pay. I was told that I would need to use the barcode on the receipt to scan out of the parking garage (remember this later in my review). Parking: I made an error and followed someone exiting the parking area and they ended up going further into the parking garage instead of going up. That was my mistake. I was in an area with taped paper arrows. It honestly looked like the area that Michael Jackson danced in within the Bad video. You know the video-they were dancing/fighting. I knew I had to get out of that parking garage or I might've seen Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Exiting the parking garage was its own thing. The exit bar is on a 45 degree incline. Hope you aren't driving a manual. I scanned the barcode on the receipt-that did not work. FYI-there is a separate receipt attachment with a barcode that needs to be scanned-not the receipt itself. Oh Safeway-what an adventure this location is.

Took a gamble since I don't live in the River Place apartment complex, where this store is located. Just find street parking after hours and you're golden! (Prob not ideal to go during rush hour when this area gets busy). In the grocery section, they sell rice cakes, a small set of veggies/produce (cabbage, green onion, garlic, ginger, carrots, limes), kimchi and different refrigerated Korean noodles at an affordable price! What a hidden gem! You can also get standard sundries, sauces (some fancy soy sauces!), sports drinks, ice cream and things like dog food, toiletries. It seems like they know their audience - all the young professionals who live in the area. The American sundries tend to be pricier. The cashier was super friendly and said hi to her regulars. She also helped me find what I was looking for, and offered some quick cooking tips. Loved her warmth and hospitality!

When I stopped in once looking for plastic silverware (random, I know), not only could I not find it, but I also did not recognize many of the items on the shelves. That said, there were dozens of people shopping on a Thursday afternoon, and everything was very well organized with a smooth flow throughout the store. Mom's is a specialty store, I think that is the best word, with solid options depending on what you are looking for. As noted in other reviews, this is a smaller and more curated market. It feels somewhere between a Trader Joes and Whole Foods in terms of atmosphere and selection. It is not meant to replace your big weekly grocery run, but it really shines when you are shopping for high quality organic produce, sustainable products, or plant based alternatives. The bulk food section looked great, and there were lots of local options for dairy, meat, eggs, and more. Parking is easy-ish, especially compared to other grocery stores in the area. Checkout was quick, and the staff were friendly and genuinely helpful when I had questions. Overall, if you are open to a different kind of grocery experience that is smaller, thoughtful, and centered on organic and local products, Mom's is definitely worth a visit. It may not be your everyday grocery store, but that might be exactly why it works.

The Italian Store has so many Italian subs to choose from, but I went with the Milano, their most popular sub. The combination of the sweet and spicy peppers really made this sandwich stand out. There was just the right balance of flavors, and I can definitely see why it's one of their most popular choices. A heads-up when ordering: They typically have several sandwiches pre-made and ready to go, but if you want something made fresh to order, you'll need to order by phone or online. At least at the Lyon Village location, you can't order a made-to-order sandwich directly at the counter. So if you have your heart set on a freshly made sub, plan ahead! Of course, no Italian sub is complete without chips. They carry Route 11, a Virginia-based chip company, and they had several varieties available: lightly salted, dill pickle, Chesapeake Crab, Mama Zuma's Revenge, and salt & pepper. I went with the lightly salted, which was the perfect pairing with my Milano. Unfortunately, the Lyon Village location doesn't have fresh gelato, so I had to settle for the pre-packaged variety. I went with the caramel gelato, and it was delicious! It wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated, although it was a little on the expensive side. The store was pretty busy when I stopped in, with several people inside and a few others enjoying the outdoor tables. They also sell pizza by the slice, or you can order a whole pizza to take home. I saw several people leaving with whole pizzas, so clearly I need to add that to my next visit. Between the Milano, Route 11 chips, and caramel gelato, this was a fantastic first experience. Definitely coming back -- next time, I'm trying the pizza!
