I still hit this store weekly for my needs. And I'm happy to say that I have an update to the self-checkout lanes -- there's a sign that shows the times you can expect them to be open! It's noon to 6:00pm on weekdays, and I can't quite remember what it is on weekends. I should've taken a picture, but at least now we can expect to know when the self-checkout lanes should and should not be open. Otherwise, I don't think much else has changed. The non-grocery section regularly rotates and has unique finds. I haven't seen my wasabi chips in a while though... hope those come back! And shout out to the Wi-Fi still holding up. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this Lidl. While shopping with my kids, the manager name Zora, rudely told us the store was closed and told us to "get out," even though we were heading to the register. She also complained that my kids were "too loud" when they were just talking normally. The tone was disrespectful and completely uncalled for. I understand rules, but there's no excuse for treating customers -- especially families -- this way. I won't be coming back. read more

Small, easy to navigate. I generally like this store though some neighbors prefer a location 20 minutes away. I need to try that store soon. While I will return to this location because it's very convenient and budget friendly I'm reviewing now because I wish to see improvements. Strawberries on sale-had to look through many to find container without spoilage. Ugh. The frozen pizza section though I didn't need any looked like there was a small explosion there. Who is responsible for straightening up the shelves. Finally, again didn't need it but saw the ice cream. Messy. See picture. It's the middle of the day and it's not busy. We enjoy Lidl. Getting groceries is one of our few activities during the nation's adjusting to the corona virus. There weren't a lot of customers in the store. The produce area had a lot of fresh items. The only disappointment was finding moldy grapes when I got home. I looked over the bag but didn't fully open it. I normally don't open bags in the store. The frozen section had lots of choices. We are trying to make more things from scratch, but there was a nice selection of flat breads and pizzas. The store was clean. There were signs posted around the store directing customers to stand six feet apart. Sadly, this is our "new normal." read more

If you're shopping on a budget and let's face it, there's many people who are today. You should definitely give Lidl a try! There are many name brand items sold here and even their brand is made of quality. Very reasonably priced! Today I shopped for fresh chicken tenders to go with my stir fry I'm making for dinner tonight. Great value and I love the choices in cuts of meats and salmon fillets/steaks. If you have small kids, they even have the shopping cart for children to interact while you're shopping. No fees for the shopping carts and they provide paper bags with handles. Be sure to bring your own disposable shopping bags if you're on a bigger shopping trip. All in all, this store is always clean and well stocked. Try them out! read more

Abort! Just. Don't. Do it! Well maybe not now, maybe wait.....uggghhhh I dunno. I'm learning about the compliment sammy so here it go. I was happy to see that there was a station outside of the store that had items to sanitize your hands, towels, gloves and the like. Nice! I loved the way that the store was organized, everything was really easy to find. Such as, the produce department that had lots of fresh produce to choose from to the well organized meat and dairy departments. I think that Lidl could be doing a better job with the aspect of social distancing. I have seen other stores that have signs on the floors for aisle directions and what not, in additions to limits on how many folk are in a store. Now, I know not everyone will follow them, but I do think it helps. Unfortunately, the check out process was less than favorable, because there was one lane open for the entire store initially. Only when her machine froze did they decide to open self check-out. Honestly, I think it was because someone found the manager and complained. No one knew what was going on because they didn't make any announcement, and people from my line looked to go to the end of another line. Huh? I managed to hit up these self check out lanes (no cash accepted here) and unfortunately this area wasn't socially distanced, but rather cramped. There really needs to be more direction in the store for consumers, and more staff. Social distancing practices should be implemented as well. Also, pack you patience, because if I wasn't such a frugal fanatic and loved a good sale, I would have left ASAPedly. Not sure if this was an isolated incident, or because this store is fairly new and needs to get to shaking out those kinks. Regardless, I still love a good sale, and I like a change every now and again, so I will give it another go after some time passes to see if things improve. read more

This is a horrible store. There are never enough register clerks to checkout and this store never opening self checkout lanes. Today only 2 lanes are open. I am currently standing at the very rear of the store in a long line to get to the checkout stand at the very front of the store I feel sorry for the people behind me as the line has wrapped around to aisle #1. #shamefil read more

I was so excited to have a LIDL opening near me, but sadly, I could not have been more disappointed. Why do I like LIDL? To me they are the perfect balance of value and design. I think their prices and selection are great, and they've avoided the dirty, low budget feel of my local Aldi. But, as I said, through all that I like, and despite my eagerness to shop at this brand new location, I walked away disappointed. Twice. During my first trip, I had never ever ever before encountered so many rude employees at a grocery store. I thought maybe it was just a bad day, so I gave them another try. My husband (an essential worker) and I went one evening after he got home from work. We knew that we wouldn't have long to shop, but what choice did we have? These are uncertain times, and essential employees have to get food when they can. Usually, once shoppers are in a store, they're allowed to finish shopping, right? Nope. At exactly 8:00 a man rudely walked up to my husband and told him he had two minutes to finish or he would not be checked out. We went to the front as quickly as possible, and the woman at front threatened to close the register as well. She acted like she was doing us a HUGE favor by checking out our ridiculously small amount of food. Come on people, things are bad enough. We have to treat each other well! All that to say that this location was a giant letdown, and I will not be back. There are plenty of other options in our community. read more

Unbeatable prices but staff needs A LOT of work. Customer service is terrible - cashiers are cranky and do not great you OR if you have a question or need assistance you will surely receive attitude and nonchalant body language. Also they have a ton of registers but only 1-2 cashiers at a time with closed self checkout lanes creating unnecessary floods of customers. Make it make sense! read more

I have visited this store several times. I like that there is ample parking and whenever I go there doesn't seem to be a lot of people there. I do wish they had the self checkout lanes opened more often. I usually find what I am looking for when I go to their store. the staff is personable too. I am so disappointed. I looooooove Lidl and my daughter and I both waited patiently for its arrival 5 min from our home. It's beautiful, bright, and clean. The service however is terrrrrrible. I have now, twice, seen a single line halfway down an aisle and they open up a new line just to take new people walking up. An older gentleman was walking up to the newly opened line slowly and the staff member watched as he got all but trampled and they STILL took the new arriving customers to check out. There is a particular cashier I try to avoid just because he is so cold. I have seen him dismiss customers regularly along with appearing so disgusted to be bothered at all. Today my coupon wouldn't scan and he literally shrugged when I asked what I should do and suggested I call corporate. It's times like these I wish I was more outspoken in the moment to have said something to him. The stocking staff will literally step back staring into the abiss, head back and clearly irritated if you need to get by while they are unloading their cart. There are still those that are really just lovely and it sucks their greatness is muted by the few bad apples. read more

I really want to like Lidl. My first experience at another location was not good, and I hoped it was just that location. Not so. My visit today started badly with a parking lot strewn with shopping carts. The cleaning/sanitizing station at the door was a nice surprise until I found that it was empty of products. Inside, the clerk stocking the dairy case wore his face mask under his nose. Many shelves were sparse if not bare. The frozen vegetable selection was pitiful. I was happy to see a good number of vegan products, though most were quite pricey. There was one checkout open and I was the 5th in line. After 5-6 people came in behind me, another lane was opened. This is just not the right fit for me. read more

This store is well-stocked with informative employees and great prices. They take advantage of their vertical space to reduce their store footprint by stacking sauces and other condiments on top of the freezers, reducing the need for additional aisles solely for condiments. I believe the College Park store has a bigger footprint so can afford more aisles. As others have mentioned, the parking lot is huge, but they need more cart return kiosks. I don't think there are ANY in the parking lot, only next to the entrance. The College Park parking lot is significantly smaller but has a large cart return in the parking lot. As a result there are lots of stray carts at the front of parking spaces, making them unusable. They can definitely afford to donate a few parking spaces to the cart return cause, reducing wasted parking spaces and discarded carts all over the place. This would go a long way toward improving my opinion of this store. read more
